  • Not knowing your personal deficiencies and chasing a one size fix all approach is probably not going to help you gain velocity.
    Not everyone has the same velo killer and it’s up to you to either find someone who can help identify yours or educate yourself to find them on your own.

    this has been the single greatest video for pitching velocity killers, it was actually a guy who knew what he was talking about instead of just blaming mechanics

    I suffer from sleep apnea and recently saw a decrease in my velo. This video really opened my eyes to get that fixed to see if I can unlock my velo.

    Nice video. For anyone here looking for a more specific answer (i.e., one or two things to work on) I would say to learn as much as you can from Tread's videos about creating separation and what that feels like and then work to add explosive strength and maintain (or better, increase) mobility.

    With every athlete needing potentially something unique to unlock their performance, how do you as Tread ensure the right approach is taken when any one of several performance coaches is assigned an athlete, is there peer review of the plan put together for a remote athlete?

    • @somemediocreguitarist
      @somemediocreguitarist Рік тому +1

      I was a Tread remote athlete for 7 months and worked in house with them for a little bit, there is a ton of collaboration and working together to find a solution that works. I went from 82-84 topping 85 to 87-89 topping 90 in this time period. They are legit

      Theyre transparent about “leading others down the wrong path” during their early years. So they used those experiences for their approach.

      Best way is to find a coach who actually knows how assess you. Training with us is obviously the easiest/quickest way, but you need to vet any coaches you might work with and make sure they objectively assess and train their athletes and have hopefully coached hundreds of high level athletes as well.

    I really appreciate your information. Always well thought out and presented in a detailed, professional fashion. That said, I really think you should consider eliminating the background music. It’s not necessary and kind of distracting. Thanks for considering.

    Should pitchers workout biceps when they hit the gym? I’ve heard mixed answers about this and I trust what tread athletics has to say.

    This is such a perfect example of less is more. He was obviously trying to create more drive off his back foot instead of letting gravity and body mechanics create velo?? Sounds like? Im loving this new approach to baseball, could draft and train a team of killers. Be so sick and fun to play out.

    Something mentally stopped my velo during tryouts I was throwing hard which felt to me was lobbing and I was throwing harder than everyone else first 2 pitches of tryouts to the plate fastballs and it was pitcher fielding drills so people kept messing up and the coach said get it over the plate no matter what the first 2 throws were down the middle then after he said that I tremendously dropped velo and kept losing throughout the season to ending up throwing 55mph in highschool level whatever is blocking me is mentally I need to fix it I just don’t know how

    • @Ian-yf1rl
      @Ian-yf1rl 2 роки тому +3

      Your problem is most likely mechanical. It's possible to fall into poor mechanics during a season, especially if you are focusing on what a coach said one time instead of doing your job. Do what this guy talks about and 'sharpen your axe'. Hone your craft. Confidence will come with preparation and practice.
