    Great to see the CVT being reviewed. Thanks

      No worries :) That's exactly why I chose the CVT (not many reviews of it and I wanted to see it's funky CVT) Hope you enjoyed

      @@NonstopDrivingReviews Yes, exactly-not many reviews of the CVT. And yes, enjoyed. You covered the points I wanted to know about.

    I enjoyed your post. I was surprised by the fact that there was no noticeable, "gear change," as momentum was, "smooth as silk."

    Very thorough explanation of the CVT, however, there is something I didn't see. If accelerating at full throttle you make use of the steering wheel paddles, would it do a temporary manual shift? It would be great to try that mode at full throttle and if it would reduce some of the ‘car is broken and won't accelerate’ feeling.

    But will the CVT sit with lower rpm's at 130 compared with the manual ? The manual is also noisy with motorway speed.

    Hey man, great review, I agree about cvt. If I go for the manual, do you think 4wd is worth it? Is it overkill for such a small car? What is your personal opinion - if you were considering to buy or choose swift manual, would you buy 4wd, or would you choose little bit lighter and cheaper option? Thx

      @NonstopDrivingReviews  Місяць тому

      Hey, thanks for the kind words. Depends on your geographical location and your preference. Do you live in a mountainous area where a 4wd would be beneficial. Otherwise I would not personally chose it as for such a small car it’s not necessary in my opinion. You get a higher consumption and spend more on it.

      @@NonstopDrivingReviews thanks for the reply. I drive mostly in town, but sometimes go to longer distances where the mud and snow are expected, and would be happy if i have that option if needed. Got to think about it more and test drive it, thanks

    The fact that people don't know manual cars make that sound probably means they've never fully driven a car, until you've red-lined a manual transmission car you can't say you've driven it ! I can assure everyone that manual transmission cars make this noise too. People doing 50kph in 5th gear stamping on the throttle and thinking wow this is quite while actually only getting about 28kw 30hp at 3,000RPM and wonders why the guy in the CVT is up their rear bumper getting frustrated 🤣

    Thanks for this review. I was hoping for the mild hybrid CVT powertrain to be better. Expected the electric motor to iron out CVT lag. Doesn't seem to be the case. 3 cylinder engines are noisy but we are used to it out here.
    We have a Maruti Suzuki Brazza MPV in India. Which would hugely benifit from this powerplant. But the mediocre performance and extra cost of CVT might swing things in favour of the AMT 😔.

      @@tertiandlovu1508 the older one had a 4 cylinder unit which was quiet and rev happy. Can't expect the same from 3 cylinder units.

    I will probably end up buying this car but only because its the least worst of the current crop of small cars left on the market. I wish Suzuki would bring the 2nd generation Celerio with its AMT robotised manual gearbox to the UK. I've driven it multiple times as a rental in South Africa & it's a cracking little car! Its spacious, has enough poke to get it up hills & driven sensibly, will happily return 70 mpg (4L/100km). Yes, like its predecessor, its been whacked pretty hard with the ugly stick but I can easily look past that because its extremely CHEAP.

      Have to agree with you. Toyota have messed up their design in the new Yaris with LESS room at the back and the rear doors doesn’t open wide enough and very overpriced. I’m geared towards the Swift for practicality and cost effectiveness.

    • @dimdim2203
      @dimdim2203 2 місяці тому

      @@ekfpang And it's a good idea to get the Swift, it has better and more comfortable access to the back. The yaris 2024 on this track is horrible when you get in the back. I have the yaris 2009. Much more spacious in the back. The new Yaris, although beautiful, is an inhospitable car from the inside. Making your life difficult.

    I find it hard to decide between this Suzuki Swift and the new Kia Picanto GT-line model.

    • @NonstopDrivingReviews
      @NonstopDrivingReviews  2 місяці тому

      Hard choice, depends on what you like more from a design perspective. I did not have the chance to drive the picanto with the cvt, but I do have a video on the channel with the manual and a gt-line if your interested in that. I think they are both decent cars for the price segment and offer a lot.
