True Light isn't a problem to run. You were already playing it and you always want it as part of your board. That its now so easily accessible and you can use it immediately is a very good thing.
Maiden and Prayers by themselves have almost completely solved Blue-eyes' biggest consistency issues. Not to say there isnt still the potential to brick in a deck with a bunch of Lvl 8 monsters but i imagine it'll be unlikely
He also didnt think about that 4 more cards are about to come for Blue-Eyes

You don't even need to run multiple vanillas now. You can easily get away with one, and sage summons it anywhere, but the hand.
Now the deck can run a bunch of non engine now since sage and maiden is the only maindeck monsters you need to run at max copies.
in our lifetime blue eyes could win worlds again
General end board u make 2 spirit dragons (its not hard once per turn). Tag one into the synchro 12 and the other into crimson, then use the crimson to tag into a different 12 like quasar.

Crimson is Light and the new BE is level 12
The support is a lot better than what josh realizes, while it won't be meta the deck is now actually competent
Also he didn't really note the fact of the Equip effect being for getting BE Ultimate Dragon or Neo BE Ultimate equipped to count as a material for Magia Knight's fusion cost.
They also have 4 other cards coming out so saying it won’t be meta is a little too soon

Blue eyes falls into an unfortunate situation where the deck genuinely isnt that bad. Its just played by so many new/bad players that people almost never see what good players actually trying to make blue eyes work can do. So the deck is brushed off even when given support like this. This support is crazy, in good hands this deck can do the same endboards as centurion with 1 card, but also has very easy access to dragon stuff like bystials and spheres on top. And we still have 4 more cards coming.
This support turns your normal summon sage into freaking snake eye ash.
Only 4 of the 8 new cards were shown. I'm betting they are getting another fusion to go in conjunction with the new spell banishes itself to fusion summon
Isn't that what Magia is for? To be the big new fusion monster. So endboard is like... True Light played from deck + Magia + 2 Spirit Dragons + something else maybe. And your turn 3 follow-up is like a mega OTK because you're blue-eyes. That seems pretty powerful.
Red nova dragon also had the 2 tuners 1 non tuner thing going on.
Except this was the base concept of resonators, with Blue-Eyes the designers are cooking !!
crystrons also had it for a long time but "double tuning" is a rare thing for synchro monsters
You can search Barrier Resonator with the new spell and use Maiden to summon it after you target her, then do full fiendsmith combo.
I dont know if its viable but I think its funny.

Sage and piri map
In a pure blue eyes main deck the best i have seen so far are 2 spirit dragons and potentially a link 2 or rank 8 xyz monster.
Spirit dragons float into the new blue eyes synchro and a crimson dragon which uses the blue eyes synchro to summon another lvl 12 synchro.
A really interesting deck i saw was blue eyes with Horus engine which at least can end up into a rank 8 negate before nibiru is live and allows you to bait ash so you can combo after with maiden.

Also New structure is giving 8 new Blue Eyes support their just showcasing 4 of them. It ultimately depends what the other 4 offer and how efficiently it can be used in conjuction what Blue Eyes already has and how easily Dragon Master Magia can be summoned. Its something to keep an eye on. It could be Meta defining like it was in 2016 or just making Blue Eyes a more consistent deck to play. only time will tell.
With the 4 cards they revealed now you can summon Dragon Master Magia quite easily already
Yugioh world champion doesn’t have the secret sauce to Blue Eyes. So he’s hating on their support, outing himself as a Red Eyes worshipper.

The idea for prayer is to equip neo ultimate and then fusion off for tyrant so that you have a targeting negate in gy with neo
Or alternatively, equip Blue-Eyes Ultimate to Blue-Eyes White, then make Tyrant Dragon or Spirit Dragon with them so Ultimate goes to grave, find a way to get Chaos or Chaos MAX into hand, and play Ultimate Fusion. Dragon Master Magia on board

Content creator should read the old cards when reviewing new support because if not they always find the support underwhelming. Like for example the one card combo doesn't end of 1
spirit dragon but 2 which is much better in today's standard. And the fact that there is 4 more cards to be revealed is crazy.
Josh, 4 cards are coming still, but rn, you have sage, maiden, prayer and bingo machine (also piri's map) that are all 1 card calamity lock plus omni
The last cards are probably focused on making ultimate dragon, shining dragon, and obelisk playable.
Hopefully some real good Dark Magician support to come soon.
I hope DM gets some better support because most of it is average/situational at best. Plus I'd love to see DM win worlds for once giving Yugi deck some bragging rights.

Cards are def better than he thinks but it most likely still won’t be top tier unless the game gets put into the same position like it did back then where there weren’t that many good decks to play and just summoning several sticky 3k bodies did for you. Which is possible if the game stays in a hand trap reliant meta where summoning big beat sticks carries. This deck will consistently put up 2 floating Omni negates,reborn every turn. Potentially 3 floating omnis. It will definitely be playable but top tier? Who knows.

Dragon locks is hardly an issue for a typical BEWD deck. The real issue is you are still forced to run the vanilla instead of a better alternative like with DM.
Yubel manages just fine. if konami wants the deck to do well, it will give blue-eyes good cards
Yeah you can run the vanilla as a one of now Yacine have done a combo video with a decklist it's pretty much solid list, and the space for non engine is huge now since the deck don't have to run alot of engine.
Blue eyes if they get an XYZ card/ link card will make the deck doing three things fits well with the gimmick. Now u can also do 3 types of spcial summon in your bewd deck (pure)
Josh and chat not realizing alternative counts as the blue eyes vanilla in field or gy was a little rough, since you technically can get away with not running og blue eyes
Surely you'd still want to play OG BEWD, so that you can Summon Alternative from hand tho, right?

@@rickmel09 If it would specifically say it's treated as BEWD in the deck it wouldn't share the limit. There's a suship monster that's treated as the vanilla in deck (but not always treated as it overall) so it gets around that.
Granted that Suship monster came out like a decade after Alternative did give or take.

I'm somewhat disappointed they didn't make the Ultimate Spirit have effects that completely shut down exactly Snake Eyes and Fiendsmiths in a hopes for the final of World Championship would be a Blue Eyes brick fest mirror match again

Depends on the deck size and card ratios if your bricking with a 40 card deck up it to 50. I will only play Blue Eyes with at least a 47 card deck but generally 50 is a good safe number. I rarely ever brick maybe once out of 50 matches. If you brick often with Blue Eyes it's a skill issue it's a matter of a deck building issue.
Not really you only need to run 1 vanilla now, and even then it was two before the new support.
Solfachord needs new support the deck just has 2 spell traps worth running the field spell and elegance

biggest problem with BEWD support is that each wave focuses on a different sub-strategy and they don't really interact with each other

Only 4/8 cards of the BE structure have been revealed and they all touch on and improve on the Synchro and Fusions halves of the deck immensely.
The maiden literally searches your true light and the spell summons your BEWD. And the synchro is made with spirit. They literally all interact with the existing strategy.
The support is better than Joshua realizes atm. But indeed won't be top tier deck.

Why god, please stop, seriously, BE and DM are basically if every HERO deck was obsessed with sucking off Vanilla Neos, Seriously stop, there's probably like 200+ strategies you could reasonably call "decks", Why are we so obsessed with dragon Tonya Harding and Eldlich lying to itself, telling itself it's cool because it's main dingus was in cartoon in the 2000's? There's literally infinite possibilities and we continue wasting design space on the most worn out, tired part of the game.
