I must congratulate Mr.Najam Sethi to take this long awaited initiative to address the route cause conditions for us to reach the present state conditions through which we are presently sailing.When We look back from where we started,the rosey pictures of being an independent Islamic State for the Muslims of the Subcontinent where the Muslims in particular and the Minorities at large would be living in peace with all the administrative and the the security conditions at there best,where the citizens will live at their free will without any discrimination and so on.But it is pointed out with regret that it didn’t happen so and in a tug of war we lost half of the Country.This tragic incident should have been an eye opener but alas we did not learn any lessons. The train with broken bogies and rotten engine started its journey towards an unknown destination in bewilder darkness in search of some light but to no avail.It’s good to see some intellectuals trying to find out the happenings of the past seventy five years which are mostly known and are available in the history books.Instead of being discouraged let us start a fresh from today,let us all get together and scratch our heads and find out the follies we done and what measures are to be adapted to put the train back on to the track with fresh bogeys and new engine and move towards a known destination with a calculated time frame to reach the objectives.Forget the lost seventy five years which is no time in the history of nations.There are many examples of the most developed and powerful nations to this affect. Suggest we move fast towards determining the correct directions to revamp our Motherland and to make it a Haven like Country.Mr.Sethi and other such like intellectuals may initiate think tanks to formulate policies and suggest development plans which are considered at the highest forums for prompt implementation.But for all these activities we need a peaceful atmosphere and a stable governance system free of all mall practices.A humble suggestion from a senior citizen specifically for Mr.Najam Sethi.Warm Regards.

I love listening Salman Akram Raja, however a little correction about that poetry of Faiz "Yeh dagh dagh ujala..."
Faiz wrote this ghazal while living in a forced exile in Moscow during Bhutto's regime.
Total population of Pakistan at that time was 7.5 karor including those who migrated and already living in Pakistan

He didn’t want to be remembered with this legacy, so he donated a huge amount to noble prize organization and announced whoever will perform outstanding in four faculties will get this prize. See how he converted bad name into a good one, people know him with noble prize name. Pakistan corrupt mafia may convert its bad reputation into good one if seeks forgiveness from Allah SWT and returns looted money for the betterment of Pakistan and its citizens who possess 100 time better brains and capabilities in all faculties than any developed nation, and can do wonders if given the right opportunities. They are being deprived of basic necessities needed to breathe.

Mr Sethi, Pakistanis just don’t have multiple identities, they often of unimportant, unnecessary, irrelevant, confusing and mutually exclusive identities which have lethal effects engender mixed together.
Sethi, it would've been better if you invited social scientists for this topic. People from legal background did not do justice to the subject. They tried as intellectuals but the substance wasn't there.
Good to see great minds coming together to discuss the problems of Pakistan. We, Indians, always wish for progressive, moderate, wealthy and friendly Pakistan. For that all of you have to leave radical Islam from your thoughts and actions, separate religion from politics. God is one for all no religion is inferior or superior to others! When a cuntery will be driven most most crupt criminals and their handlers handlers last many years where cruption is no problem far most powerful departments plus powerful personalities how that cuntery can develop
Wah kya maashi halat bana liye. Dekha ek khwab to ye silsile hue. If economic development was reason for partition then this is proven a disaster. Jo log india aagaya they are extremely happy and no longer asking any questions. They weren't asking such questions even at time of partition because Hindus were always doing well. Shayri ke aage badhoge to kuch development hoga.

Overall the debate was a healthy sign with regard to the younger generation Who're not aware of the history.
However, the host Najam Sethi, was absolutely misfit for such knowledgeability discussion because of his own dark and tainted past. His blind support and involvement with house of Shareef and being the beneficiary of the system. He himself participated in Baloch separates movement long time back when he was young. So having all those true convictions on his profile he does not qualify to pretend as a true patriot which he's not. He always remained partner in crime.
