Why do you even talk about relationship with India. Forget India. Concentrate on your own development, figure out your best friends and move from there. Even if you maintain status quo with India nobody from India will bother you for the next 10000 years.

Just proud of this man Mr Moeed Yusaf...completely agree with his point of view...
Unless Pakistan tackles question of population growth all the talk of redistribution or apportionment of resources collected through taxes and foreign aid is fructous.
By 2035 Pakistan's population is going to double up to say, around 400 millions (40 crores), whereas resources available at present can't feed its existing population with 2 square meals, forget about good education, healthcare, water and energy requirements.
So, next 15 to 20 years are very crucial and all Pakistani intellectuals, media, bureaucracy, are avoiding to discuss ramifications from the fear of religious fanatics, while speaking in long hyperbolic speeches talking about peripheral issues rather than this core issue, with the exception of Sri Hassan Nissar Saheb.
Also, Pakistan's elite is obsessed with blaming India, Afghanistan and Iran rather than introspect about wrong foreign policy directions it has followed over last 75 years.
This reminds me a Panchtantra episode about a family of "Titihar" birds, where the male bird expresses fear about sky falling and female dispels its fear by sleeping with her legs raised towards the sky assuring her male partner that she would catch the sky on her legs if it ever falls !

Yes, I enjoyed the above discussion. Both gentlemen gave many good suggestions to resolve the problems Pakistan is facing. But at the end of the day Najam Sethi seem to understands the Pakistani people and society's better than Moed Yusuf in my opinion.

Dr. Moeed is talking very sensible and practical but the question raised by Nazam as well as the Audience are very important. The "What" part is perhaps all set but it's the "How" part, which is painful.
Excellent discussion. Mr Sethi Pakistan need rule of law for rich and poor.Redistribution of wealth and inequality also come under rule of Law .Again Rule of law , army and establishment should stop exploiting it for its own good . Rule of law!!!!!
I live in USA, the IRS is not loved by a lot if people but people are afraid of tax man , so they pay taxes. Sure most people who gladly pay their fair share of taxes. Most people gladly pay local taxes because they are effected by it.
That is great thinking but the main issue is it contradicts the Two Nation Theory or idea of Pakistan.
