I found you through GBF Relink. Nice to see your transitioning to DD2 as well. For those playing on PS5 or Xbox can we hire your pawn although you’re playing on PC? I’m assume the answer is no right?
I am still in awe that it's here. Like if you told me in 2020 and 2021 that in just a couple years, the sequel to my favorite game of all time would FINALLY arrive, I'd call you a liar and try to sue you.
from the sounds of the review and combat it sound like playing MH and I am saying this because I never use the lock on that shit suck for me at least, but so far I am loving everything I hear about this game
How did the mouse and keyboard feel to play with? I haven't played the first game but from what threads I’ve read most people say the first game was playable but just a little clunky when dealing with UI. Is that the same for this or have the devs made settings for us MKB? Would getting a controller give me the best experience?
The first game was really cool, if you beat it on hard mode you get a set of the Duke's Clothes which is a player wearable set of robes with a cape and crown that was a replica of the actual Duke's robes who was Sovereign of Gransys, which is the name of the Dukedom of Gransys where the first game takes place.
Certainly feels better than DD1 with m&k but I still vastly prefer using controller Though you can change any keybinds. The UI is pretty much the same so not a lot of improvement there
I mean damn another review says they did everything in under 45 hours bs another with spoilers before the games out yours is definitely one of if not the best ty
Thank you! I imagine some reviewers just rushed through the story and didn't explore anything. The game's massive and there's lots of hidden things to find and unlock
In DD1 there were potions you could give to your pawn to push them towards your liked inclination. If you gave your pawn enough they were as good as soft locked into the inclination you wanted, taking a long time to come back to that point in the first place, and when it did, you'd definitely have more than enough to feed them more potions again. I have no reason to believe this will also be in the game, if not for cheaper since this was a main point of complaint in the first one.
No. It's not bad to have a mage as your main pawn. Many people do, and mage is an important position. Your main pawn is the only pawn that's customizable by you, so if you want your main pawn to be a mage with mage skills tailor made to your liking, there is nothing wrong with that.
Yeah I was playing in 4K and the source is the notice reviewers are sent. They didn't outright 100% confirm it, but said something along the lines that it was likely
@@darkhero2 ho you were playing in 4K, I'm releaved : when you showed the auto dlss option at 11:19 it is in 1080p, and I was like "this performance with this GPU on 1080p damn my 2080 won't allow me to even play at 30 fps".
Hmm.. Idk, I feel the trade off was worth in the end, as much as I loved having 6 skills on mages and sorceres that was a bit too op since you could be prepared for every "normal" element and still had 3 more slots for support or use holy shadow stuff, sorceres might have the most impact since they do lose 2 spell slots but for mages kinda feels we lost only 1 since at the end you would have equiped anodyne anyway you would have 5slots for spells, now that anodyne is your "triangle" we still have 4 spell slots xD, for warriors Im impressed we p much got 2 new "skills" one pre defined (vocation specific) and a 4th skill slot, I hope combat with warriors and fighters are more appealing and fun than on 1st game, I really hated how booring it fwlt to play as warrior from the lack of movment and skill slots, even if they did hit hard if you knew what you where doing, for other jobs I dont feel it impacts badly since p much all of them had 2 weapons each with 3skills and now we have one with 4, maybe fighters can bitch about only 4 slots for shield and sword but at the end they do have 2 pieces of weaponry so... Its fibe, 3 offensive skills and one defensive is still a good trade
Some reviewers are commenting about PC performance but are pairing their system with a 4090 with a CPU from 5 years ago. It’s just going to bottleneck the card and cause micro stutters.
Noticed this also, they also aren't speaking to 1440p performance instead focusing only on 1080p and 4k, yet 1440p is still the most popular pc resolution.
After watching many reviews It seems that the only issue is performance on PC and PS5 running at 30 seems like a day one buy to me. As long as the game is consistent and enjoyable that all I care about.
I already uninstalled the game. I simply got sick of all of the enemy encounters, you couldn't walk 10 ft without fighting the same enemies over again. The density is set way too high and makes exploring anything feel like an extreme chore. Companions also don't stop yakking about ridiculous stuff, combat is also more restrictive than the first game. You can only have one weapon class and there's no hotkeys. Enemy AI is not any better, and the graphics in all honesty don't look that great.
I don't know bro. I run a 12th Gen Intel i7 12700 H, 2300 Mhz, 14 core. Will come back to update on friday but I think the game will run with no issues. Bought this computer last summer so it's not that old and should do it. @@ama9385-w2g

I want to play it at 60 frames on PS5, so I guess I'll wait to see if that becomes a thing.
