hey, it’s the Modulo X from Omoren! I was literally the first person to rent that exact car when they first offered it.
cue a few months later, and i bought my own S660.😂

I have one of these in Australia and I agree, it's a lot of fun. In this day and age, it's the closest thing to the feel and vibe of an OG 1.6 Miata.

Way more planted than a Miata though and chassis rigidity

@@jubbalandcars Oh yeah, I think outright grip is superior to even the ND Miata.

I love my Carnival Yellow 2016 Alpha. 🐝 Peak Honda passion lives on and in a tiny package! 🔥 Very lucky to have it here in 🇦🇺.

The disadvantage of being 6'6 is not being able to drive a car like this

😂 I loved this. The car sounded so raw it made it seem like a race car. You nailed it - Honda kept their signature metallic high revving sound!! It really did remind me of the VTech Hondas of two decades ago.
The size was hilarious, it literally made the Miata look giant.
The lack of load in the steering and feel seems like it doesnt belong in such a sporty car like this

Awesome car! I bought a Modulo X Version Z a couple of months ago. Imported it to Guernsey as the speed limit here is only 35 MPH. I use it as my everyday commuter. It’s not our only car but my previous car only rarely had a second person let alone 4 or 5 people in it. We tended to use my Wife’s car for shopping or family trips. So two big cars was a total waste. I’m also 6’1” and while the S660 is tight it is comfortable. It works perfectly for my situation.

I love mine in the UK, the S660 is my weekend fun car along with the GR86 as a daily
Will pick the S660 over GR86 for just driving fun, perfect fit in tight UK b roads

Welcome to Japan! Slow cars, when well designed, can be super fun on the right road and when you’re in the right mood. I owned a Honda Beat for 4 years, and to make any progress it needed a damn good thrashing. Great fun on a touge (mountain pass), but super frustrating in stop-start traffic and on motorways. My Honda Beat was more fun to drive than an S660, because it had a proper VTEC feel (although the actual system was called MTREC) and could rev to 9,000 rpm! It sounded great too, but it was all mouth and no trousers. 0-60 mph took 13.4 seconds, and top speed was only 83 mph. It was even slower with a passenger, which is a major drawback I find with lightweight, underpowered cars.
I think the sweet spot for driving on Japanese touge is cars like a Lotus Elise, BRZ/GR86, or MX-5. Faster cars are mostly wasted with the strict speed limits, typically 30-40 kph (19-25 mph). However, I find fast cars with great steering feel, e.g., Lotus or Porsche, can still be fun at lower speeds due to their road feel and feedback.
I hope you had a nice time in Japan! Thanks for sharing your experience.

Would love to try a Honda beat!
Agree on Elise/86 twins/MX5 on togue fun. I think Porsches are sometimes dull until you go up to GT

@@jubbalandcars i think car ideals on media underrates this kinda driving fun: normally people are thinking of driving fun as a sense of accomplishment from escaping danger. but much more relevant and less risky/costly is fun of driving efficiently. driving efficiently is making power at optimal RPM and fuel amount especially at down hillish roads (more speed with less torque (pushing power) used, like speeding before uphills. brake and steering minimally and steadily. neutral gear in transmission for coasting which also turns off using hybrid system regenerative braking os it doesnt eat up your coasting speed , and ideally hybrid energy used only on 0 to 5 or 10 miler per hour for max battery longevity per efficiency, minimal tire emissions and tire life loss. mid engine, limited slip differential, also helps.

I imported a Version Z (same colour) into Australia this year. Car is so much fun!
I've gone a bit mad and I'm currently throwing a heap of HKS, Spoon, Mugen, and many other parts at it. 😁

@@TranceFurYou can tell because there is no motion in her body, hands, legs, you definitely can tell if someone is interested in what is going on by their body language. You don't need to see their face.
I don't know why you'd think this was controversial or negative. It's mostly a joke. When someone puts an emoji with a smile with a tear coming out, it usually implies something funny is happening, not negative. I can't believe I'm having to educate someone on what an emoji is and what body language is. But here we are.
