Europa Universalis IV: Rule Britannia | Anglophile - Part 1
Вставка
- Опубліковано 1 жов 2024
- Introduced in the Rule Britannia expansion, the Anglophile achievement requires us to complete the entire new English mission tree. This includes: subjugating France, dismantling the HRE, colonizing the Americas, and many others. Sounds like a fun little challenge!

This shit way too damn complex lol I have no clue what’s going on.
I can play Stellaris pretty well but damn this game hard to learn
It takes a few tries before you get the hang of it
That's kind of crazy. This game was really easy to learn and play for me but I can't get a grip on Stellaris...
Not gonna lie i had the eye twitch of you getting lucky enough to ally Austria, Aragon, and Burgundy

Abu Nadrah reported: The Messenger of Allah, mohamed peace and blessings be upon him, said during the middle of the day at the end of the pilgrimage, “O people, your Lord is one and your father Adam is one. There is no favor of an Arab over a foreigner, nor a foreigner over an Arab, and neither white skin over black skin, nor black skin over white skin, except by righteousness. Have I not delivered the message?” They said, “The Messenger of Allah has delivered the message.”

'The surrender of Maine' event has a mean time to happen of 36 months by the way. So you have to get pretty lucky to get it to fire in the first few months...
Angleophile you say... (discord chat intensifies)
I once had the Maine event fire on literally the third day, as in the 14th of November, 1444. Took me by complete surprise.
Oh, I just finished my Anglophile campaign that I capped off with Master of India. Glad to see you attempt this achievement, my lord.
ALL HAIL KING PRAVAUS!
ALL HAIL BRITANNIA!
MAY BRITTANIA RULE THE WAVES AND WORLD!
(Please like as it will bring luck to him and his nation, Thanks!)
This series is what introduced me to eu4, thanks Pravus!
Sounds like a great plan for a EU4 run.
hey guys what about Pravus could play as Mughals in the "dharma" expansion? devs said that the Mughals will receive some new culture mechanics.
like id you want Pravus to see that.
harris nisar I was thinking about some timurid to Mughals but that also is an interesting idea. Let Pravus decide.
Ile de France -- Eel de France. Keep going -- you do great with your pronunciation when you follow your gut, Pravus.
Also - Valois -- val-WAH. But that's just French being its weird self. :D
DanStJH
Did you just say WAHHHH?
WALUIGI CONFIRMED FOR FRENCH SMASH
DanStJH speaking French.. ew
Someone has to.
French pronunciation is far less weird and far more consistent than english
MrArticSwing still weirder than Russian
Always wanted to see you do a series’s as England, also as and English man I cannot wait to see you create the greatest empire ever seen again 😋
What about Sealand?

As someone who has never played EU4 watching this is like being thrown into the deep end of a 100m deep pool with lead weights on my ankles and no arms
Pretty much
I was furious when you broke off that alliance with Portugal, do you understand how long that alliance has been going on. Seriously I believe it was one of the longest lasting alliances.

Hey Pravus, I just wanted to say I am really enjoying the new series. Thank you for all the great content!
I'd recommend to play on speed 4 or 3 while at war. You tend to make small mistakes, and small mistakes can have big consequences and those do add up over time.
EDIT: Nevermind.
Wanna know something weird? I found a glitch when I was starting as England and instead if a fucking monarchy I had a dictatorship... wtf
Also I just got the surrender of Maine event literally November 12
the lord played EU4 again, today is a good day
I'm going to watch this while drinking my first cup of tea.
Rule Britannia.
Alright eat France, Asia, the British Isles, and America lol.

Don't apologize for going over and ending on a cliff hanger.
in the name of your king Robert Botheon you shall conquer every land under you feet and destroy those filthy franks - Ned stark talking to Prauvus gaming
Just started a Scotland game where the Surrender of Maine fired on the 7th of December 1444, which is less than a month into the campaign.
Finaly, Pravous playing EU4! Grab some popcorn and beer, and let's have fun fun fun
Pravus I'm not sure you realize how lucky your start was that Burgundy didn't start as your rival, it seems to happen like 90% of the time these days. I mean yeah ideally Aragon would have also rivaled France which they do around 50% of the time but that would have been truly insane. Still a very nice opening getting France down in the initial war.
Shhhhhhhhhi*ooooot *realized youtubes sponsorship*
having a spynetwork on the enemy in a war you get also a siege bonus. 100 spynetwork = 20% siegebonus. may help :)
I can't wait for the war of the roses to happen on May 1, 4 AD
Fighting a war at speed 5 makes me nervous...
I tried that as a non and those locked movements got me my ass kicked so many times
As of Dharma, it looks like you will always start as a rival of Burgundy, so it looks like they have made it harder? Which is a shame, this looked like a good play
Please don't blob into Europe. England without splendid isolation is absolutely disgusting.
55 episodes... fuck it. I'm watching it all in one go (or most of it atleast)
Burgundy starts with a +21 opinion of you?? every start ive ever had has burgundy hating me with an opinion of -85. anyone know why this is?
Its random.
@Pravus You can click on a province on want your allies to take or be at, and simply "assign objectives" on the province tab, it says no objective by default, but you can choose which ally you want to attack the province for you
Pravus, you're animated frustration for "Maine" to fire was very entertaining. Great video, btw, quick, concise, fluid, and you're voice isn't grating... 8/10!
Good strategies, but the weak knowledge of some of the mechanics can be frustrating to watch. It's understandable though, because this game has so many things to keep track of, and many of the mechanics get changed around in different patches.
One thing to make sure to avoid is running speed 5 while at war, especially when battles are happening. Pulling out of a losing fight can save an enormous amount of manpower. Since the introduction of professionalism manpower has become a much more important resource, as even if you have the money to throw mercs at everything, your armies will be of lower quality.
ALL HAIL BRITANNIA!
Branislav Babic Well i m not the only one that think about when see Britannia
In HOI4 can you play the old world blues mod? It is basically a Fallout experience in HOI4.
TCK53 Yes, let Lord Pravus bless us so!
Yes!
I followed the strategy in reddit and it turns out pretty good. sell Maine to Provence. Once manpower hit 60% buy enough merc to get the Ireland and Scottland CB then eat up Ireland and Vassalize Scottland. I would eat up the minor in Ireland first, primarily the ally of the ally of Scottland (that way you can take Scottland's allies land without fighting Scottland). After getting rid of Scottland's allies in Ireland, you can declare war on Scottland. You can drag Burgandy into war if it hasn't declared war on France already. (you have to have a start with Burgandy not being your rival) . After you conquer Scottland, you can turn to France and take Paris if Burgandy hasn't done it. www.reddit.com/r/eu4/comments/8uhx9b/best_colonial_england_strategy_ive_done_so_far/?st=jq2qig1a&sh=e20b709c
selling Maine to Provence so that the surrender of Maine event doesn't fire, that way you can follow your own pace
Does that still allow you to do the mission though?
I literally love your videos dude, your the only youtuber I never get bored with on campaigns.
Indie the ssa,e campaign and by 1460 I had a pu over France, subjugated Scotland, lordship over all Ireland, control over Brittany and 2 Dutch ports
As an English man I cannot tell you how hyped I am for this
Now the event of Maine fires to fast almoust at january 1st of 1445
Holy shit i'm watching this literraly 1 year late
-keeps consolidating and then adding mercs-
-wonders why he's taking morale hits-
First eu4 series in a while the probably will die soon if their isn't another update this year it suks
Was watching this and decided to try for it too. Maine fired on the 18th of November. Much lulz was had.
Omg yes im so excited!!!
At around 2:50 you mention can release Normandy, but you can also release Alençon and give it Maine, and keep those sea provinces
I love Pravus gets pissed off at France for an entire series!
Fun fact: You can avoid the Maine incident by releasing Alencon.
I'm curious could maybe play Victoria 2 sometime
Clicked on this thinking it was totalbiscuit. The hat and flag seem a bit in poor taste
This comment makes no sense.
Actually, i can't sleep because i wanna know how this war ends
I honestly could do with a hour episode each day. Love you playing eu4
The more the time in the video the more prestige you get irl
Man your voiceover is so clear and good.. which accessories, software or mic do you use?
thank you so much for this video. from the first 5 mins alone you improved my gameplay tenfold.
There is always 25% chance that Poland will take the local noble
I started my english campaign recently and castile helps so much. Expectially when they pu aragon
I don’t like getting a heir with Henry because you have to keep him and them zeros
19:52 friendship ended with Aragon ,now Castile is my friend
*friendship ended with mudasir intensifies*
Wooo EUIV
God, I missed seeing you playing this game
I tried this once to get france in a personal union (I only had one dlc way of war or something) so I Didnt have faviors and with spain as an Ally I go it first try and I got the queen of anjou as my leader in war of the roses so I had like 1 month of war of the roses I havent seen the full ep yet so I Hope you'll get this to :D
and I ment castile not spain sorry
RWBY Ruby rose is my waifu :D Fan dude u can edit ur comment
I know but I was to lazy :P
Yeah it's pretty easy to PU France now and definitely worth doing if playing as England. About 50% of the time, Castile will initialise with land in France that she has a claim on. This makes it very easy to grab her as an ally and get her to join in on the French bash. Austria is guaranteed to accept an alliance as too Portugal ofc. All you really have to do as England in the beginning is focus on stacking morale. I find that taking quantity as the first idea group generally gives me a smoother run early on.
No PU with Lithuania because most decisions are pseudo random with better decisions typically weighted more heavily. This creates a less predicable and more dynamic game IMO, even if sometimes the AI does head scratching things.
Yasssssssssssssssssssss
Hello guys
Im new here so could someone explain to me whats happening?
I see conquered lands but the fighting? Where where where?
You can see him moving his troops, there's a battle screen also.
This is embarrassing, I went to close your pop-ups. What has EUIV done to me. lol
ps: RULE BRITANNIA!
Dude I've NEVER played this game, but at the start you said your doing this whole thing so your fighting a defensive war and you could call other nations in, then it fired and you say " were fighting an aggressive war but thats ok" then you realise they wont join you in the war and say dangit lol..so so funny
I'm new to this game and was wondering if anyone can enlighten me on a few of his decisions. He immediately removed a couple forts from a region he knew would be the subject of a future war, and then debated removing them from the London area. Why would that be a good strategic move? Then when he was raising armies he put a bunch in the Maine region, but said he'd automatically lose it when the event triggers. Why would he want his troops there then?
But... I wanted you to play as baguette...
the england surrender of maine event can happen in the first day or never.
This is gonna be a big boi in here, very excited!
i want to play this game after getting it in the sale. never been so intimidated in my life
Start as ottomans go administrative ideas
I have been wanting this so much! He's back!
Americans saying Tyrone sounds so weird to me lol. Great video btw.
Love EU4... can't wait for more!
I have waited up to 8 years before it fires, then I got mad and made it fire using the console
Instead of being mad at Burgundy for tryna occupy the labourd fort in southern france you coulda blockaded the port and atleast helped him siege the province faster
I’m so happy you’re doing this let’s play XD
training more than 2-4 cav is a trap. they cost to much for it to be worth it even if they have the extra combat value they cost so much more money wise. the big use for cav at all is flanking.
lol "little empire" yeah it only covered like 1/4 of the world
you say ile de france like this (ELL-De-fronce)
Can't wait until the next episode, I was so into it!
If you have the women in history dlc you get an event where Margaret De anjou replaces Henry VI.
I have this no clue whats going on but still kinda fun
I have been waiting for this!
HAIL LORD PRAVUS, RULE BRITANNIA!!!!
I keep coming back to this
