What a pleasure to watch. I'm 65, have no natural rhythm, and have just started learning tap to challenge my Parkinson's disease. You're rhythm and syncopated tap moves and sounds were a joy to watch. I don't expect to ever have the coordination to look and sound like that, but that's OK. I can still appreciate a skilled dancer at work. Thank you. 🙂
I know it's been 6 years, but your instructions are my favorite on UA-cam. It just doesn't make sense when instructors face their students. Your video is the only one I could find who faces the same way as the student. Thank you! Made it so much simpler. I taught tap 40 years ago and have no idea why any instructor would face their students and tell them to do opposite what they're seeing. I hope you have more videos...
I teach dance (not tap) and always face my students … i was taught to mirror so I could see who struggled with what I’m teaching. ie if I ask them to do their left, I do my right. Unless it’s a turning step then I’ll do both ways (facing them and then having my back to them). It’s ingrained in my teaching habits esp when teaching young children.
What a coincidence! I, too, love this combination and would love to see the rest of the dance and see it done with the music. We, too, are in our 70s and have a class at a local senior community center--we love our tap class and this would be so fun to learn. I hope you will consider posting a video of the rest of the dance or let us see what you would be willing to post for us to learn. Thank you for your kind attention and excellent videos.
I'm glad I found you. I'm in a beginning class that's been meeting for a while and I need to get up to speed. Your videos are helping a lot. Good instruction! Thanks!
Please share more videos like this. I was a good tap dancer when I was young. I would love to get back into, but need help . Would ,love to see more from you.
Is there a place where I can see the rest of this dance? I'm in a group of ladies in their 70's who are tapping at Senior Centers, etc.and we would love to have the rest of this choreography.
That is so nice of you! I really like this "Let's Call the Whole Thing Off", but it's incomplete. Since we mostly entertain senior citizens, I like to have routines for old standards - songs they can remember and relate to. I would be most grateful for anything you would be willing to share with us. Creating Choreography is not our strong suit, but would enjoy learning yours.
p.s. Is this the Harry Connick Jr rendition from "When Harry Met Sally" that is 4:12 long? Would love to see you dance it to the music. Did you edit the music to make it shorter?
What is the name of the step after the Front Essence? I can't understand what is said. Do you have a video on that step? I've looked but can't find one. I might have overlooked it. Thanks for these videos. They're so much fun to do.

I haven't tapped since my early 20's, and I just bought a new pair of shoes to get back into it all. Please keep these videos coming. I love it!

Do you have this set to the music? Desperate for a 30 second audition cut!

Did I see a little soft shoe in that combination? Nice by the way!
Now I know how the ground feels
Is there anywhere I can see the routine with the music?

+Pat Farm hi pat! How much of a routine are you looking for? I have a few I would be happy to share with you.

Hi, Pat Farm again. Would love to get those routines you are willing to share. How would it be best for you to get them to me?
Pat Farm hey Pam! Away at dance comps with my dancers, I'll put up a video combo tomorrow :)
This bombershay looks different than I’m used to... help, haha
It's been a while since I saw this video and I'm waiting for the choreography with music and complete, please.
Please stabilize your camera

What's the step when you say you're out of frame? It doesn't look like a bombershay?
Looks like just a paddle, it's not a Bombershay.
💖💖💖💖💖
that doesn't look like a bombershay... what's the name of that step?
We call that a paddle step (usually done turning - paddle turn) or soft shoe.
What tap shoes are you wearing? :)
Chloe Ferrier Bloch Jason Samuel Smiths ☺️
What is the name of the step after the Front Essence? I can't understand what is said. Do you have a video on that step? I've looked but can't find one. I might have overlooked it. Thanks for these videos. They're so much fun to do.
"Bombershay", but that's not the way I do them....
I've done a tap bombershay and a jazz bombershay. Is that what you mean by "doing yours differently?"
Jo Mac my studio does them differently as well. We go sideways and heel dig, brush back (same foot) and then step the other foot
Can you show your face please video
why would you not do this to music??
she is teaching the put your music
I’d assume cos of Copyright on UA-cam … it’s easier to teach the step and then once you’ve learnt it, add your own music.
