Love it when he starts singing and people are shocked to hear that sound come out of that baby face.1994-2000: Retirement. Astley retired from the music industry in 1993 at 27 years old, deciding that family life was more important. During his time out of the music business, he raised his daughter, born in 1992. For much of the 1990s and early 2000s, Astley remained out of the spotlight. At 56, he is back touring again.
Yeah, about the voice. It's exactly the same reaction when people watch The Animals, House of the rising sun and hear Eric Burdon sing being 23 with the face of a 18yo and a voice of a 40 yo guy.
Nobody expected that voice to come out of, what seemed like at the time, a skinny red-haired kid sporting a black turtle neck pullover, a tan rain coat and black dress shoes. However .. Rick wasn't no 'kid' after all. He was a skinny red-haired grown man at the ripe ol' age of 21, sporting a black turtle neck pullover, a tan rain coat and black dress shoes.
WAHHHHH!!! Love the energy! I was like 4 when this came out and my favorite singer back then was Billy Ocean. When Rick would come on the radio, I’d think it was Billy and would (allegedly) have a fit if someone said otherwise😆 You have to listen to some Billy Ocean -When the Going Gets Tough, the Tough Get Going -Caribbean Queen -Get Outta My Dreams, Get Into My Car
OMG this song was HUGE hit in '87 and was EVERYWHERE on the radio. Not gonna lie, I loved this song and would definitely groove to it when it came on the radio. I didn't know he was British until just a few years ago.
Love your reaction! This was great! Lol... He had some other songs you should check out; Together forever, It would take a strong man, Whenever you need somebody & The love has gone😁🎶😁
When this was released in America it was on the radio for quite a while before this video ... You gotta say. That is a great voice. With that voice and soul I was expecting some closer to somewhat more of a Luther Vandross. Something. Anything but.... that guy, that video, and that dance.. I heard this for months before I saw the video... for whatever reason.. You couldn't escape it. Like Um bop levels of elevator invading play.. No Roll today can measure to my jaw dropping. My friend was full slack jaw. He said i was too... The confusion...and I'm sorry that... Dance.. had me rolling 🤣 😆. I'm still not sure quite were to classify it.. My friends and I were in tears and stitches.. Till it hurt. It was permanently etched in then.. That video needed a preceding disclaimer.. Thanks for posting. It put a smile on my facem I enjoy watching you experience some of this..
Nice! Thanks for showing Rick some love. If you like another one that will shock you…. More than this! Check out Chris Issac song Wicked Game, with official music video.
Hi grandson I shouldn't Confess that I'm high but you're so funny when I'm high because when you're talking about. He's gonna give up those foot draggers. I was laughing my a** off.😂😂😂😂
OK. I have been watching your videos for a little while and I know what you're going to say right before you even start. I believe you're going to say you've been bamboozle hoodwinked extra extra😂😂😂😂😂
This is all BS! There’s no way you never heard of this song before! This song has been a Rick Roll now since 2008. So that was 15 years ago! Everybody & their grandma has heard of this song. (this song is over 1 billion views on UA-cam!) Everybody above the age of 5 knows this song. What’s next? You gonna pretend he’s never heard of Baby Shark? - (all these reactionary videos are bogus BS! there’s no way they never heard the majority of this songs) - & Stop the BS in in the beginning like you can’t pronounce his name. its not that difficult Your just trying to pretend you never heard the artist nor song before.

His that his voice? Well, the answer is clearly no! Unless, he's really a middle-aged black man from Memphis, USA.
