Nice finished piece! Those snips are a great idea. I usually use sissors but they don't last that long with rubber

Good morning Gris i love this video . Its so informative . When i saw you were going to be drilling holes my first thought was i wonder if he has ever had the drill bit catch on the rubber and tear out a big piece or if it only happens to me LOL. And then that's exactly what you talk about. I do find that the black rubber powder on the seam seems to help prevent the drill bit from grabbing the rubber. I think its because it stiffens up the rubber a bit. I have also had the drill bit grab my glove on the back side and it hurt like a S.O.B I glad im not the only one who has all these mishaps. I cut the rubber with a good pair of scissors.

I've had the drill grab my glove on more than one occasion ,usually when your in the zone ,and not quite paying enough attention. The tear out can be a real B*&CH! Haven't had it happen in a couple of years now .BUt it's good for peeps to know what can happen and it's not a surprise.

Gris, try using a multi tool. To cut your glass. May take a little longer and you may go through more blades then the grinder but its much cleaner and you dont get all that dust all over your self.

I use the multi tool on all my smaller pieces, some of these big guys the glass is over 13mm ,thats when I use the big boy.

One thing i have been wondering is if all the molds you make are for making things for your store or if you sell them. I know you have made a few for sale . if you keep them for making stuff for your store you must have a huge pile of molds and i wouldn't mind seeing them all in one place . ( if they are all in one place )Kind of like the walkthrough video you did of all your concrete castings.
