1:23 Bad, bad, bad! You do not drive a bearing into position by pounding on the inner race. You press fit it into position using the OUTER race. Beating it into position as shown here weakens the races and sets the bearing up for early failure and often at multiple points.
I really liked how this video gave me a behind the scenes look at the Massey tractor manufacturing process. Details from quick attach to quality control were all clearly visible, giving me a comprehensive look at the quality and technology of the brand.
I grew up in Serbia in the 1980s with a Serbian license of IMT from England Massive Ferguson tractors that are assembled in Serbia. Although I always said Germans and Mercedes Benz makes the best diesel so do the english. Those three and four cylinder Massey Ferguson designed diesel tractors ran for 30 or 40 years without rebuilds
Anytime you put a torque wrench on the bolt and it clicks right away, that means you over tightened it with the impact gun.. also love the lack of eye protection on the factory floor or proper respirators in the paint booth..
@@anthonyray773no he’s right! If I tighten it to 100lbs then you come along afterwards and torque it to 90 and it clicks without the nut moving, it’s not 90lbs because I already overtightened it before you came along.
@PaulSmall-i8s If you go on Google maps street view you'll see they still have a old Massey Ferguson tractor on the roof of the old guard shack on the service drive of Southfield. Take a peek it's kinda cool. Google Earth has it blurred out for some reason.
Built by AGCO. Allis Gleaner Corporation. Yes, the old Allis Chalmers Allis. World wide , way bigger than John Deere. They make Massey Ferguson, Fendt, and Valtra tractors. And all kinds of crop machines. And you CAN repair them yourself.
These are Millat tractors of Pakistan. Built under licence to AGCO. I doubt there are many parts that are imported, Millat seemingly to have complete capability.
I think they are made for local use no exporting Massi ferguson had convention with a lot of countries Pakistan,Iran Etc to make a certain model for local use some countries had changed the brand name to export them but they are the same.
I have owned three of them and still use my 175 with the 4 cylinder Perkins diesel and it still starts and run great. The 105 I had pulled the same equipment on 2 gallons per hour less than my former Allis 7000. Have had 2 Massey combines also and the 410 with a 16 foot header and the 4 cylinder Perkins along with the 510 with a 20 ft header were the most productive I ever owned, including JD and AC similar models. But the JD 95 was really good also.
These are domestic to Pakistan-I think. I noticed someone "set" a ball bearing driving it on the center race. Everything they "torque" uses a click torque wrench with the fastener not moving before it "clicks" with a couple instsnces where they moved it maybe 20 degrees after the click. Guess they figure "torque" is the minimum tightness.
When I was a kid in Detroit the MF final assembly plant was right across the Southfield Frwy from my school. Had big proving grounds and my brother would go at night and got inside the fence line snag shifter knobs from the tractors..one night he and his buddy got chased By security on tractors but didn't catch them. Employed a lot of guys back in the 60's.
Reminds me of the time I was a little kid and snuck into a huge truck yard where hundreds of tractor trailer truck rigs were parked. My buddy and I, we were probably around 12. We each swiped hundreds of valve stem caps off the tires. They were all the metal type (no plastic). This was probably 65 years ago, and I still have some. We used them for sling shot ammo and they would whistle when launched.
not bad but why is one that has a alternator cover on it and a different one didn't🤔they painted over the shifter gromets and then there black again 🤔and a gas nozzle to put coolant in classic Love how the office desk is on the factory floor guess that's one way to keep an eye on them LOL😎😎👍👍
Yes and tractor 1/3 the price. Many European workers at VW and others will be losing their jobs soon due to cheap chinese cars, maybe tractor industry will be next?
Those sure don't look like Englishmen quality workers to me. Ill stick to my Farmall MTA, 1086, and 826 great old AMERICAN MADE iron until I die. It's so sad, because I learned to farm with and old Massey-Harris.
In USA these workers would require safety glasses, breathing protection, footwear safety belts auto shutdown etc. Plus a better than minimum wage, a pension contribution, health plan coverage, paid vacation days off, national holidays off, some religious days off all paid. Of course, uniforms, paid time to change clothing, paid break time twice a shift but 1/2 hr or more unpaid lunch time. Then a psid cleanup time at the end of the shift. Turns out this tractor company-reportly as employee owned, is failing financially.
That's why you hardly manufacture anything anymore, all gone to places like this. It's not just the West, same is happening in South Africa and elsewhere . How do you compete with places like this.?
Note the absense of AdBlue, ECU's, EGR valves and other BS. Proper tractors albeit assembled with some bad practices but nonetheless, I bet they will still be doing work in forty years time. And no doubt, they wouldn't be allowed into Europe or the UK.
Love the respirators in the paint room. And they paint everything! You’re kidding…. Holy moly Batman.

I really liked how this video gave me a behind the scenes look at the Massey tractor manufacturing process. Details from quick attach to quality control were all clearly visible, giving me a comprehensive look at the quality and technology of the brand.
Quality control? Luckily this is a clone or licensed tractor sold in pakistan.

That’s the great thing about building your product in Mexico…no unions, no safety, just sheer profits!
Wrong. When a torque wrench clicks, it is tightened to the correct torque specs.
@@anthonyray773 hey dummy.. just because a torque wrench clicks doesn't mean it's not over-tightened..

I can only imagine the build quality to be the same as Pakistan.
Cool! I liked the factory and the tractors. 🙂
Taken from the play book of a T-34 tank ! Simple and rugged .

Don't judge massey by this video, these are off-brand tractors

Massey Ferguson fro the U.K is extremely good.I guess these are built to soothe India standard.
Correct same thing with vehicle's built to standard per country
This video was filmed in Pakistan (check the uploader's channel). Indian manufacturing is higher quality than this garbage.
