We have to give some props to Show Champion, they let Dreamcatcher sing the whole song because it was their first win ever. Usually, the winner will get cut off once the credits are over.

@@WatchingSundays well they have been almost 8 years in this kpop world(Minx + DC), certain group (a group from big company, survival show, or already have big name/popularity in the industry) can win the music show in just a week or less, so this is one of the most amazing story in KPop industry, everyone celeberate it!
Watched it live (first time ever by the way). It was so awesome and very emotional. I'm an old dude, but not gunna lie, tears were shed. Such a deserving, long overdue win. So proud of them. Persistence, hard work from all involved, and pure talent finally recognised!!! Raw vocals on point, considering the overwhelming emotions in that moment.

Thank you for this reaction! A few words about this shows and wins on them. There are several shows on different channels in which groups participate during the promotion. (The Show, Show Champion, M Countdown, Inkigayo, Show! Music Core and Music Bank). They count the votes a little differently. So winning on one show is not a fact that you will win on another. The voting system is f*king complicated. The wins on them have "different weight" bcoz some are shown on cable channels, and some on national ones. And winning these shows is first of all an achievement for the group. And secondly, a kind of signal to the industry/advertisers/general public that the group is competitive in the industry and not just some kind of unknown group.

How huge is this win?
Well it's been 5 years, 1923 days they struggle as unconventional group for bringing horror dark metal rock to kpop industry that is dominated by girlcrush , sexy mature and cute concept and came from a small company with small korean fans even smaller than those gg group who are more popular overseas and yet at April 20 2022 they won their very first ever win with the whole fandom voting for them and rooting for them their long overdue first win.
I would say it is THAT HUGE. The longest gg who taken their long overdue win before was Brave Girls and now it is Dreamcatcher!
I myself is crying 😢 and i never been that happy ever since SNSD win.
