Andrew, your ms250 is a great saw. We beat the piss out of the ms250s at work, and they are tough. You will have it a long time. The 545 is a great firewood saw, commercial power and long-term use under all conditions. We run everything from ms250 to ms261, and 545xp to 357xp. All great saws.
Great day out with your Dad buddy. The chain bar makes a difference for sure, but for what you fellows are going at with firewood either saw works fine. Take Care.
I like the little competition like that. Both saw are really good. I use to work as logger when I was younger and we had both husky and stihl are really good saw. Great video buddy. Pat
Yup, like you, I'm on a budget and I've been looking at the exact same ms250 saw. Although I just need it for around the house, backyard fires and camping but I still need one.
Will the way i look at it , you can buy another 250 and when you goes into the woods , or gets a load delivered ask a buddy to come over , you got a saw that he can use , take care , God Bless
ANDREW I had a stihl and a husky the 3 stihls all had carburator problems i had to buy new carburators, the husky i had problems with the oiler it is a plastic gear on the crankshaft because it is made out of plastic, you will destroy your bar and chain it goes graduatully
Hey Andrew! I had both makes of saws over the years. Husky is my personal favourite but in all honesty, doesn’t matter what make of saw you have. A broken saw is junk in my books. They all break at some point. Some more than others. I just like the feel of a husky. My last saw I had was a 365 husky. Back then I tried making a living in the woods and needed a bigger stronger saw. I always run 16 inch bars. (Your dad saw would cut faster with a shorter bar.) I still have my very first chainsaw I ever bought. 023 stihl. I bought it for a Christmas present to myself in 1988. I was 14 at the time. And it still works.
Both excellent saws my buddy, any day you can get cutting wood with your Dad the it's a good day. Both beat my little Stihl 170 lol, but I don't burn wood either lol.
Well I can't match those times but I just use a 2 handed Silky saw for all my home heating needs. Can't beat the fuel economy! We have half an acre of woods on our property so I do all the firewood by hand it's a great workout and satisfying when you're done.
Both worked well. As long as they get thru the wood that's all that matters.
Yessir buddy
It’s all in the filing of the chain
Yessir that has alot to do with it. Both of these are brand new so it's a factory edge on the chain
Great memories made with your Dad.
You got er Mr hatcher

Can't beat it buddy, reliable and cheap
I'd be happy to have either one😁
Yessir I hear ya
Ms 250 i bet is a lot lighter then the husqvarna. So power to weight the 250 is better in my opinion
Yeah you'd be right in saying that. It's abit lighter and it's not at a major disadvantage in power
Them saws are both awesome and a fine load of slabs what's a load off slabs going for down your way
Will the way i look at it , you can buy another 250 and when you goes into the woods , or gets a load delivered ask a buddy to come over , you got a saw that he can use , take care , God Bless
Yessir that right too

It's true what they say, they're all good until they break 🤣

Great Job son, You're da best 🙂
Loves you dad thanks for being awesome
Both excellent saws my buddy, any day you can get cutting wood with your Dad the it's a good day. Both beat my little Stihl 170 lol, but I don't burn wood either lol.
I've heard some fellers put smaller bars on them 170's and they cut crazy good. But all honesty if it works for you it's just as good as any
Hi Andrew slabs are good but they burn fast . I like the Saturday morning videos . Now Im going to sit back with a coffee and enjoy .
I'll usually throw 3 or 5 in at once... they burn better that way, thank you friend I appreciate it

Mine is the stihl, they cut very similar. But dad's is built better
