    Enjoying catching up on your brilliant videos whilst laid up ill. Nice to keep sailing though someone else’s experiences when temporarily unable to. Many thanks.

    Yes The Forth is a lovely sailing ground with some very picturesque harbors

    Another perfect video, narrative perfectly even with enough general knowledge of local interest and excellent sailing tips.

      careful of getting sailing tips from me - I am completely untrained and I have no qualifications

    Great films and series.
    East Cost has so much potential but not easy in a boat that cannot dry out well and the forth can turn on you so quick and make entry to a lot of the harbours nuts.. could put another 1000 berths across the east coast and wouldn't make a difference to the beauty and space

    Strangely I know a woman whose leg was badly crushed by a falling grave stone. But I agree the chances are VANISHINGLY small.

    really lovely film, thanks. did you motor into Dunbar with your 2.3 honda? what sort of current can the motor cope with?

    • @KeepTurningLeft
      @KeepTurningLeft  7 років тому

      the honda is a back up - the std engine is the Tohatsu 6hp that gets me me going at 5.5 knots

    Like your videos very much. I would like to know which Pilot (Book) do you use. Best regards from a german sailor who is planning to turn left (or right)

      I use Reeds almanac, a big chart, a tablet with marine navigator on it. I did buy some local cruising guides - marinestore.co.uk/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=khpil0290&Category_Code=pilot-books&Store_Code=mrst&gclid=Cj0KCQiAnOzSBRDGARIsAL-mUB3gLNlRA_oHOMCfon1sbiuSfWW4tbdfXtgLXL4S1kibyz6yFcNDM2MaAqGJEALw_wcB - but the web seems to provide everything you want nowadays. Visit my harbour is excellent - www.visitmyharbour.com/. The phone signal everywhere is excellent.

    A privately owned HARBOUR, IT WOULD ONLY HAPPEN IN SCOTLAND

    What kind of rigging are you using? It seems you set the asymmetrical in the place of the main? Why?

    • @KeepTurningLeft
      @KeepTurningLeft  5 років тому

      it is an old Topper main from my collection of odd sails - it does not bang in a swell the way the gunter will

      Ah! OK thanks.

    12:55 mins, rips claws off living crab, then sweeps the poor live thing overboard, in agony, unable to fend for or feed itself anymore, all for a small 'valued' choice morsel of meat = someone's supposed delicacy.

      I agree....in some fisheries they are only supposed to remove one

    Great videos but a presumptuous 'hairy man in the sky' know it all sailor who will bow his knee to Jesus some day!
