Hi guys! Somehow I've missed some of your videos, but have no fear! I'll see them. Living vicariously and as usual, enjoying all the things. I do love when you show where you're staying, but I get maybe why you don't. Still, it's interesting. Did you say you were off to Asia next? Be well! ❤
Yeah we haven’t film med where we are staying much anymore as far as apartments. Partly we didn’t feel it was interesting and partly out of publishing videos while we are still in places and disclosing where we are.
Fabulous video. I really enjoyed it. The food looked really good, set you up for the day. Who says you have to eat eggs and bacon, toast for breakfast. I eat what I fancy anytime of day. Oh my, that market would solve all my shopping problems here. What great choice, boy, they love their peppers and chillies 😆 Reminded me also, I must go to the 160 lek shop for some slippers for winter 👌 That place must have the most statues of anywhere I have been. Loved the 'almost' London buses. BK, but no Dirty Bird there, lol. Where next, be interesting to see. Thanks for the video keep up the great work 👍
Yes, this is no question the best market we have found in the balkans.. as I said, everything is pretty much there. The produce selection quite good, the butchers very good. The statues are crazy. Sadly this is not a place you would want to live in winter, apparently it’s pollution is worst in Europe and has so much smoke that even car drivers can have visibility problems. Well worth a visit during spring or fall. Thanks for watching as always!!

It is much different to stay long term and do your shopping and so forth at the markets. We do lots of that, it really gets you closer to living like locals. We generally stay long enough, minimum 1 month so we do this sort of thing and most of our own cooking. You need to stay several weeks to make shopping generally worthwhile in our view.

We mostly cook at home and eat lots of vegetables. Food out doesn’t often get served with it. It’s strange at times. Most locals are not well enough off financially to eat out much so the stuff they do is the stuff they don’t make at home…. Like meat grilled
There is certainly Albanian being spoken there, my wife speaks and reads writes Albanian half decently. I know some basic words and phrases. Please only say *Macedonia* in your future videos because North *#Macedonia* is the only country in the world that has the name *Macedonia* in its own name. Yes, the whole dispute around the region and naming is unfortunately, seemingly part of all that which goes on in the former Yugoslavia. At any rate, we really enjoyed our time in Skopje, it is a nice - but - as we say, a bit strange for all its statues! Lovely people, great food.
