This video has gotten the most negative and hateful comments I have ever had. I thought this went without saying, but be respectful or I will block you. I don't have a problem with y'all leaving opinions, but don't be rude.
I feel confused why the hate. Your video was informative and well done. Your hair looks good. I feel sad for the haters, they are so unhappy.
Sorry that happened to you! Ppl can really suck on social media.
@@phylicia6082 thank you! I feel like people are miserable and just want a punching bag lol
Really? I dont see anything wrong... Girl have fun with your hair... at the end of the day, you are the one that takes care of it... So keep doing what you do... God gave you that beautifull hair... enjoy it... just dont pay attention to plp online... Misery loves company
Ppl are evil mean hateful and jealous smh. Regardless you and your hair is still beautiful
The way people nitpick for girls with colored hair. It’s giving jealousy. Your hair looks beautiful fr
FR FR !
Oooh Jae I feel you! I literally JUST trimmed my hair last night. And I NEVER trim my own hair because it’s too long for me to get even on my own. But, my ends were RAG-GE-DY Chile and had to GO!!! My oldest daughter helped me even it out in the back and I was able to get a good 4 inches off for a nice fresh start!
This was my a few days ago. My mom helped me even out the back cuz my hair grows mad uneven. Kudos to people who can do an even cut on their own because it’s tricky.
@@tiahnarodriguez3809 Fasho! It is tricky indeed!
Yesss! Trims are so needed, but even I’m guilty of not trimming often enough 😅. Glad you got a fresh start love!
@@NaturalReign yesss boo. Thnk u. My hair grows in layers naturally! Thanx for the video n transparency💖. Fresh trim goin for the new year
I read all the syllables
You're the Goat of trimming your own hair! Hair "Always " turns out looking great. And it grows so fast!! That's how you can tell you have a healthy head of hair. ReignGang 💙
Thank you sis! I think people forget that I love to color my hair, but I also know how to grow my hair long. I’ve had fun experimenting because I know the formula to grow long hair.
I started trimming my own hair about 2 years ago. It took forever because I thought I was messing my hair up. But now I’m a pro at trimming my hair and it’s healthy! I find that my hair grows fast once it gets a good trim. I pretty much trim when needed and depending on how my ends feel/look
Trimming your hair after a couple months just feels like a fresh start, so great the way you've done, it's beautiful ♥️
Man I feel this. It’s not the color that got me but the neglect at a certain point last year. I admitted myself into in-patient and there were pretty strict rules about our liquids so I didn’t pack according and those 30 days my hair suffered. Then afterwards while still healing. I just cut my ends and there’s still some that needs to be dusted. Everyone says “health over length” but that’s easy when you aren’t still healing from the idea that your hair is EVERYTHING to you (beauty wise) and length = pretty. Don’t let the rude people out here get to you. I know easier said than done but fr. ❤️
My stylist just cut off about 3-4 inches and I was bummed at first but knew it needed to be done. My hair was crazy thin after postpartum shedding and then a few months later I got Covid and had more hair loss. I can't wait to get my thickness and health back. Do what you gotta do ladies for your hair.
Loooooove your hair, as always, and I’m soooo glad that you’re back and still doing hair videos with your others. Love you, dear heart.
Thank you! It’ll be a mix of hair and lifestyle content! 💗💗
@@NaturalReign I’m excited for it ALL!! 😂
I trim my hair the same way for 2 years now, and my hair grew so much. i find it so much better to do it my self when its in a blown out state since my hair is always in protective styles or washngos.
Glad you showed what to do when the hairs don’t line up. I have always wondered if I have made the right decision by cutting those separately or if I should give them a chance to “catch up.” I guess I have been doing it right!! Great video, thanks for the content as always!❤
I love how you weren't afraid to cut what was needed. I think you did a great job!
Ugh I freaking love the colors in your hair! It’s so pretty and it definitely helped me trim
Thanks for always giving great tips on how to trim natural hair!! 🔥👏🏽
I love you & your personality. I have no idea why they’re so much pessimistic energy in comments but you’ve always been one of my favorite UA-camrs & I love witnessing the growth within yourself & your journey with your hair. 💗
Could be jealously and hatred which is sad, no excuse why we live in a hateful world end times man
You always do a great job!!! Always precise and thorough!!!
Thank you love! I just know when it’s time for a trim my ultimate goal is hair health. I also want it to be easy to style and look great when it is styled (usually in a wash n’ go) 💕
Sis I literally just did a BIG CHOP ! I’ve learned that I have high porosity hair & I colored my hair in the past 🥹 I just wanted to start over and take care of my hair the right way. 🫶🏽 just saw this video right after my big chop it was destined for me to watch ✨
Hey girl ! Amazing video ! I’m excited for my wash day tomorrow, I’m gonna also cut my ends and let me tell you, they are looking ROUGHHH. Thank you for this step by step video. Your hair came out great ! And we have the same trouble spot.
This video called me out! Since I've been deployed overseas my hair was looking at me like" when was the last time we got a trim". We're snowed in on base so no excuses why I can't do a little TLC on my hair.
Beautiful outcome!😍
I love the way my hair feels after a good trim
Love the video. I plan on giving my hair a good trim before the new year. Your video is perfect timing. 😊 I always love the colors u pick for your hair.
Thank you! It’s always nice to start the new year with a fresh start!
Looks way better! You cut what needed to go! Love the color!
We love we're a part of your process, Jaelan! ❤
Gorgeous Hair as always!!!😍 This video told me it's definitely time for me to trim my hair.
Glad I could be that reminder! 🥰
wow love the color and the way it fits you !
Thank you! The orange/ginger really has a special place in my heart.
This was the sign I needed to trim my hair! It looks soo good
Thanks for the vid because honeyyyyyy I need to trim my hair and this motivated me to stop procrastinating. BTW, I love the two tones against your skin. Looks marvelous dahling ❤
You're so welcome! Thank you!! 💗❤️
Hair is giving per usual 🫶🏽 Thick, colorful, and pretty. Love to see it! 💕
I just finished the video and…. For us curly girls (that wear our hair curly most of the time) this works perfectly! Simple, will be relatively even all around, and those dusty ends are gone period!
I love what you said about how well it holds a twist lol I have 3c/4a hair and I thought something was wrong with my hair since it doesn’t hold a twist with fresh blunt ends lol
Sis my hair is at bra strap and i battle getting trims cos at salons they always cut way more than needed cos my hair density is thin and it got worse when my hair grew out more and a curls started to drop.i learnt so much from your channel and my hair journey is a living testimony. You are loved from South Africa sis🇿🇦
At the end of the day. It will grow back! It’s okay to experiment and keep it moving. It’s HAIR!! Let have fun with it and not focus so much on length all the time.
Great job cutting your hair sis! Very pretty results 👌 😍
Thank you love! 💗
Can't believe people are being negative. It's your hair and channel so you do as you choose.
Not folks being mad your hair hasn’t fallen out like theirs after bleaching 😭
Lmaoo they really be mad cuz they can’t take care of their own hair😂
Beautiful job sis love the trim part. I don't let anyone cut my hair except a little help from my sis or daughter for the back!
You have so much hair. If I bleached or colored my hair I’d be bald. You’re lucky that you can enjoy color without losing your hair. Looks great after the cut.
Thank you! I want to start doing more self trims ❤
Hey beautiful, I trimmed my ends last week. I promised myself I wasn't going to trim for a little while but then looked at my ends when I combed it out and decided the see through bits had to go 😂 my hair looks ok when my hair is curly but when combed out everything is there to see 😊 I was also starting to feel knots which was a no no but now my hair looks and feels good I'm not touching it again for a long time....well that's what I'm telling myself 😂😂 hope you have a lovely day wherever you are ❤🙏🏼🇬🇧 (UK)
If you notice you are having to keep trimming at your hair… you aren’t trimming it properly love . I used to at home trim , but I found myself kinda constantly having to snip here and there. Also I noticed my hair growth was very stagnant. I began getting it done professionally . I feel the difference , my ends feel amazing all the way until I decide to get it trimmed again. Which is every 3-6 months .
@@staciegreene2262 I agree with you but I trimmed my hair last month and I think I'm finally getting the hang of it because it feels amazing lol also getting it done professionally would cost me a bomb the last time I asked how much a simple trim would cost I was told £85 hence why I do it myself 😊 I would love to but that's a bit steep for my pockets x
Just got my revair today, this video came on time 🙏🏼🙏🏼
Coming through with the perfect timing! 😊😊
@@NaturalReign I love your content ❤️ ❤️Thank you so much🥰
Your brave girl , you did
what needed to be done .
Your curls will be way thicker at the end and bouncier too 😁❤
Enjoy it.
Just trimmed my hair last weekend because detangling was a nightmare. Best decision.
I have highlift color too and I wear mostly wash and gos. And I just started correcting my porosity every 2 wks to strengthen my ends so I’m retaining more length while CONTINUING to bleach😂 Bc I love me some color.
Loved this! This is exactly how I do mine girl lol. Also you remind me so much of Kelis!
I love your hair omg
I just cut off a few inches of mine and it was getting long too. Cause I’m not about to grow out thin scraggly hair either lol
It’s very therapeutic for me, the way it becomes soft and moisturized and no tangles after you cut it.
i love it!!
Thank you love!! 💗💗
Your hair is so pretty 😍
You did a great job! I just combed out my locs I cut my hair and going to get a professional cut then put my locs back in I didn’t like how they were shaped but I miss them 😭 I been subscribed to your channel for years and u know how to take care of it don’t mind these people I done bleached my hair and did everything to it and it grows back it’s just hair and your color is just faded out my hair is pink right now and even with the trim I did it’s really the color that needs touching up but I’m trying not to recolor my hair for 6 months now lol
Love it sis 💓.. My problem is don’t let me see split ends on my head 😂 cause ima tell my mom to cut my hair 😩. I always do a big chop every other year it makes me feel so relieved . I’m trying to let my hair grow as long as it can but I’m tempted to cut it again.
Great tips! Thank you!
Just finished about 30 minutes ago.go figure! i hate trimming but I know I need it to keep growing thick thick thick.
Yeah trims really do make a difference. You can feel a different immediately in the hair.
Your hair is very beautiful Queen. Thank you for sharing. Yes, I did enjoy this video very much. 💯❤
Thank you so much!! Glad you enjoyed 🤗💗
@@NaturalReign You're welcome my beautiful Sis. I appreciate you taking the time to reply. 💯❤
Try Adore temp colors in copper and ginger and do alternating slices so it gives it demension. When done
Word of the day is “sparse” ❤️ Merry Christmas to my favorite UA-cam natural hair guru. A blessing to my life from the first view 🫶🏾
Merry Christmas sis!! I’m glad I could help 🤗❤️❤️
Excellent job ❤😊
I LOVE your hair and all your videos fr. My hair is bleached ash blonde, I can’t wait for it to be your length, you did a great job with the hair cut ❤
Thank you so much!! You got this sis! 🫶🏽
How well does it hold a twist is a good marker for sure!
I love a good trim!
It’s like a fresh start!
@@NaturalReign yesss!
It looks really good
Thank you! It feels a little short for me, but my plan is to grow it back long and show y’all how I do it.
I love your hair!!! Your skin also looks amazing
Thank you boo! 💗
Omg i need a trim and I've been postponing it all month. So much work and i just started my wash n go journey too 😭
Can you do an update of your favorite hair products ? Like leave ins , etc since the switch ?
I've been procrastinating on trimming my hair for a while now 😅. I'm not proud, but sometimes life gets hectic and my hair is the last thing on my mind.
Hi, your hair looks good. It grows really fast. Can you do a hair growth challenge. Showing what you do to grow your hair out.
Heyyyy sis i miss u i haven't been on in a minute sorry for my set back but im back and im on my loc journey by the way love your nails super cute and your hair is still beautiful 💖
I’ve been doing this since I’ve been natural. I havent found a hairstylist yet that I trust to cut my hair so I be cutting away 😂
you are so pretty😍🥰
Chile, "F" them negative ppl. They are irreverent. Your hair is so pretty.❤💯
I was at 10-11 inches recently, THEN i got the itch to do blow out and flat iron which was great, no damage from that (my hair is pretty resilient to heat).
THEN, I decided to do a pony and I had the 1 Color hair so I bought an unknown box dye (I live on an Island where supplies are scarce) and it had peroxide....I set myself back 2 inches and my hair looks a bit thinner and my ends are rough. Its gone now ! but I am back on track. I did a rice water treatment and braided my own hair in cornrows and I ordered me my Keracare Hydrating Shampoo and Humecto conditioner (LOVE).
I know now AGAIN what to do.....for me!
No more Permanent hair color with Hydrogen Peroxide or cheaper quality ( I normally use Creme of Nature or just hair rinses)
Check to see if you have hard water
Diet
My Iron is low so I need to re-up on that!
water intake
Clove water was also helpful to my edges. I am not bald but i do have shorter pieces at my temples! and at the very front where I wore a glueless closure. I was snug and I felt it but i only had it on for a few hours....I don't wear units for longer than that!
Don’t do all the extra like rice water and all that. Just take care of your hair with regular, predictable products and retain health and manipulate carefully.
@@krystalccameron7689 I am a hair care specialist, I do not do it often but the shops here don't have any treatments that I was accustomed to using! And rice water or Gelatin (esp. gelatin) has hydrolyzed protein but also has to be used in conjunction with a moisturizing treatment/conditioner. Any and everything in moderation.
Hey babes have you tried the chroma absolu by kerastase? I believe the Amino acid line will love your hair. I use it on my bleached hair and it’s phenomenal
This is off-topic, but; I love your smile! Specifically I love your gap, it's so beautiful.
Thank youuu!! 💙💙
I hope she never changes it. I love it
Oooh! This is why I will NEVER bleach my hair again. The hair is just never the same again.
Hair grows back! That's why I'm not really worried.
I agree with you both . I just did caramel highlights and my hair was desert dry all the time . I have locs now but I definitely get wanting to experiment with color
So true! I went to the same person who colored her hair and I will agree that bleach has set my hair back! The damage might not be immediate but over time it will start to show. I wish I hadn’t did it ‼️
You did an amazing job, l trim my hair the same when l feel like it😂💖
Hey girl you should try an Olaplex treatment at the salon and the home products
Your hair looks good! Idk why ppl are saying it looks thin
I did my first trim in almost a year and thank god. I took of about a inch in total
I’m color treated too no heat or nothing but wash go all the time
Question: Do you experience more drying in the higher color parts and what do you do about them? Whenever I did bleach, my hair refused to stay moisturized.
Hey girl!!
Hey sis!! 🤗🤗
Love it❤
Your hair last year compared to now. It’s changed a lot.
Some people want to dye their hair and never do because they are scared. I'm not one of those people. My hair will grow back and I know how to grow long healthy hair.
@@NaturalReign I love this optimism. I feel the same. I went full blonde and will never go back to it but at least I got to experience it. Then I grew the blonde out/cut it out over time to get back to my original hair color fully in waist length in less than 3 years. Hair retains length when we want it to if we know what we are doing. It will be back!
I love and respect all yall who trim yall hair in a blow out… i cant do it! I prefer to cut my hair when im doing a silk press. That way i know the ends of my hair are all as aligned as possible. The waves and kinks and puffs in the blow out mean the ends are not all together at the ends. I can also trim from wet curls on wash day. After applying product to each section, i detangle the
Section, twist it down and just clip off the tip of the twist where it looks thin.
happy for you sis
I like the idea of using a clip!
I’m curious to see the bangs in a wash n go.
Love the intro 0:01
You're thumbnail fooled me for a minute lol
So happy to have found your video. I just cut my ends and damage parts and I did pretty much the same as you. So I’m very proud of myself lol🫶🏽
You got this!
Okay length 😍
You see me?! It’s actually shorter than I’m used to, but it’s hair. It’ll grow back!
@@NaturalReign yes you have gorgeous hair ❤
Your hair is beautiful. I pray that God grants me longer hair. I want my natural hair to be long. Don't worry I'm taking care of it. I can't wait for the day my hair gets long. I know we must be patient when it comes to natural hair but I really want my hair to be long again.
"It's not givin' baby hair anymore. It's just givin', like, breakage." 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😭😭😭😭
Had to cut it lol 😂
I watched your trimming video from last year. The thickness of your hair has changed. Is it due to over dying?
I didn’t blow out my hair the same way for that video. I believe I used the q-redew to stretch my hair. They give different results.
Damn y’all so dang negative. Her hair is gorgeous and thriving. Doesn’t look thin at all
@@zacharydrake156that’s not negative. The person is asking if dying your hair often effects thickness. She didn’t say anything mean
@@zacharydrake156 She never said her hair looked thin. Nothing negative here
Yeah but the tone seems kinda
Like Haterish
Like why you care bro
If it looks thinner it’s prolly thinner why u need to know how it got thin maybe she don’t know don’t maybe from covid or something unrelated to dying it but if she is feeling self conscious about it than the statement was rude
The quick tip you can flat iron the end low heat making even cut ,but your root growing out pretty fast ,
When was the last time you dyed your hair?
I’m staying away from the flat iron for now.
I dyed my hair almost 4 months ago. Time moves so fast!
i gave myself a trim and got scissor happy lol. I just wanted to chop things, had to put em down.
I have been trimming my ends since 2020 and it's easy but my wash and goes are 😂.
I have looser curls at the back of my nape so they don't shrink as much , and I don't want to make them real short just so that I can get the perfect shape . I just let them be .
I do blowouts once every month too , thus I want everything to be as even as possible .
I'm nexttttt 😂😂😂
The body for meeee 14:57....❤❤❤❤
I love this on youuuuuuu😘
It was really helpful to see your process of blow drying your hair, I just blow dried my hair. :)
Also, your discount code isn't working for some reason.
What are your thoughts on hard water? Do you use a shower filter? (If you have hard water)
You are lovely! Nice job. I can't keep going to these salons and getting my hair straightened for $150+ just because I need my ends trimmed and then it frizzes up the moment I'm out the door T___T my hair does NOT want to be straight. PERIOD. Never did. I followed a different tutorial from another youtuber and I trimmed my ends while they were in twists. My ends still feel ragged so I might have to cut more :( I'm going to use your method!
I’ve heard that trimming your hair in twists isn’t the best method. Chances are you’ll be missing out on a lot of ends that need to be cut - as you mentioned
It would be cool to see a review with Olaplaex (probably butchered the spelling). I’m thinking about using it to strengthen my hair and get the density back together after reversing my locs
I just started using Olaplex. I’ll let y’all know when I have an update!
It’s literally the only thing that saved my color damaged hair 😭😭 number 3 is definitely a miracle product
@@NaturalReign I’m looking forward to your review since I just purchased most of the Olaplex products.
The bonding oil stops breakage almost instantly
@@solarlola5953 oh yesssss I have to try that one
