Jeff, as someone married for 36 years, my advice is downsize the wedding and upsize your honeymoon. You and your wife are the only two that should matter in all of this. In other words, book that trip to Whistler! Probably easier said than done, but best of luck to you and your fiancee.

Copenhill is built on an incineration plant. Just recently received a Stöckli newsletter for a weekend trip including 2024/2025 ski presentation. So if you're eager, you could go ski there on the newest material :)

Totally Agree on El Niño La Niña. Winter before last was the El Niño and Utah had the biggest snowfall ever. The previous two years before that were also El Niño and were terrible.

It does depend on where the ski area is. Utah is not tremendously influenced by either cycle. The East Coast benefits 'snow-wise' from a neutral period in between the two cycles. Next best would be mild La Nina, which is supposedly what we are headed into for this season (better than last year I hope!).
