I grew up in the 50s evaporative coolers only and 30° is normal as long as your cooler is working properly and the weather doesn't turn humid. In humid weather evaporative coolers don't work.

Hi mate, I've been watching your videos for a while now and I find your ideas very interesting😊. I'm trying to reduce my impact on the world, so its really helps when there are people like yourself who have shown alternative ways to live. I'm particularly interested in your evaporative cooler, I was thinking that maybe this system could be used in a tiny home, where you have Evaporative cooler curtains or roll up walls on your tiny home. I thought it might be possible to have very thin rubber tube Zigzagging downwards That you could Sew onto the wool felt. It could be sandwiched between two thin sheets of wool felt and water could be gravity fed from the roof, the rubber tube would have very tiny weep holes in it to very slowly release water. Of course this would make the tiny home heavy, but once the water evaporates, it wouldn't be so bad. Sorry this is probably a silly idea, but wanted to ask someone with your experience 😅😊. Ben

I talked about this when starting to make my felted wool curtains, said as soon as I get some made for the other side I can just squirt bottle down the inside for it to evaporate through the outside drawing out the heat! I just made big curtains for both sides last week and thought “I bet squirting these down would work better but would need to be sprayed down more often through the day cause they’re more breathable and thin so can’t hold as much water. I will try squirting them down today and film it thanks for the reminder!

When someone’s lifestyle requires moving frequently the term for that is “nomadic.” Sometimes I wonder why terms are no longer in our collective vocabulary and then I realize it’s because we rounded up all the nomads and forced them into reservations a hundred plus years ago.
