There's about 2 seconds during the guitar solo when you can see both Ren and Romain's faces and they both are both just into it, the smiles are real and the emotion is so positive. This is what happens whey you watch musicians who hit the groove at the same time, they start feeding off each other and it becomes more than music. Love it.
THIS!! They switch off lead on guitar and/ or vocals seamlessly and without the bullshit ego getting in the way. Romain’s smile is 1000kw. Watching Dignity is a perfect example.
If you haven't heard it already, The Big Push's cover of Englishman In New York is a must! We get Ren's full range, but I think it's mostly in mixed voice and the harmonies he and the other bandmembers have are gorgeous! ua-cam.com/video/ZI9Q295iJl4/v-deo.html
Thank you for the reaction. I know he shares the vocals with Sam Tompkins in this one but Sam and Ren busking “Earned it/Man’s World/Falling I think might have what your looking for or Englishman in New York by The Big Push. Or if you want to hear a taste of all three band members vocals of The Big Push try Praise You Fatboy Slim cover.❤
The Sam/Ren Mans World is INSANE. Sam's falsetto is ridiculous. There is an interview out there somewhere and Ren called him The Male version of Mariah.
Yeah time to get to Sam! 💜💜💜 Blind Eyed live💜 there are multiple versions. The one with the "angry parking attendent" is my favourite, but vocal wise maybe the one buskin in Brighton.
Ren is so refreshing! I have been obsessed since first listen.. He and the others deserve all the accolades. I hope they get together again in the future. Happy I am here on this Earth to witness such greatness.
Wade In The Water from the Big Push shows some pretty amazing vocals. Ren sings through the first half and blows everyone away, and Gorren finishes the mashup. I think you would really enjoy Ren and Sam Tomkins busking Earned It/ Mans World/Falling. I think Sam will blow your mind, too. Rem primarily sings Man's World, and it's 🤯! Ren and Sam met when Sam was 16, and he heard his voice in the street and stopped immediately. You could say Ren mentored him a little, and Sam is very much a big part of "the Ren friends." 😊 I think these two videos show mixed voice, but don't hold me to it. Lol, Walking on The Moon/No Diggity from Sam and Ren's same busking session shows some amazing vocals from Ren, too!
That was so so good Chris! I love your vocal breakdowns, and appreciate the time you spend to share your experiences and explain the “how” tones are hit. I am not sure if you have done Ren x Sam Tompkins - Earned It/Mans World/Falling, but I think you will like it.
I just found this video while I was re-watching some of the Big Push's busking videos and the first thing that stood out to me was how passionate you are about this - it's really cool to see someone so genuinely invested and interested in what they're looking at and what they're doing. Good on you dude
The Big Push’s original, Precious, is a beautiful display of Ren’s vocals and mixed voice in a slower, heartfelt song. The studio recording is great and it has a really neat lyric video to go with it. He also displays some beautiful vocals in their original, Dignity, though the verses of that song are sung by Romain, who is also a stunning vocalist, and Ren really shines in the bridge. And finally, I have yet to see anyone react to their original, All My Heroes, though it is one of my absolute favorites. It’s fun and upbeat, and has a ton of great vocal treats and shows a great range, as well as some rocking instrumentals (though as far as I know, there’s no video…there’s a video that just shows the album cover on The Big Push channel).
What a band! JFC, I'd fly anywhere to see them play. Ren is an awesome front man as well as being a genius at everything else that is musical. Love your channel!
They're such an amazing band. Really hope they do more together in future. Wade in the water is a good call for your next Big Push busking vid I think.
Next is Crutch - Ren ft Bibi, you just need to keep in mind that the latter chaotic part of the song is sung by Ren, not Bibi as many reactors have mistaken👍
You really should give 'Swan Song' a listen, your appreciation of the harmonies along with the acoustics of the location, etc, its a true gem hiding amongst others.
You give the best breakdown's of vocals Chris!! Would be really cool if you would look at one of their original songs: 'The Big Push - Swan song'. I'd love your take on the track but especially the harmonies. Same for the cover song: 'The Big Push - Praise You ( Fatboy Slim Cover )'. Both live takes btw.
If you havent already....Please please please do Wade in the water/feeling good Nina Simone performance. He's wearing a black tshirt in the thumbnail. That is my favorite. And Nina is one of Rens faves. ❤❤❤❤❤
Loved this reaction, you´re always so fun to watch. Please do The Big Push - Wade in the Water / Nina Simone / Trouble so hard it´s an awesome performance, one of my favorites
Thank you for featuring The Big Push! Love your enthusiasm and appreciation for this masterclass band! So grateful this performance was captured on video! 😍Not, sure if you covered it yet, but Ren and Romain deliver incredible vocal performances in their song, Dignity. The lyrics are also touching. The song and video are like a punch in the gut and a great big hug at the same time… 😅
Do Heretic and Ready For You both are good for hearing his higher register. He sounds very much like Jeff Buckley especially in Heretic. Also do Wade In The Water/Trouble So Hard/Nina Simone mashup with the Big Push and Wade In the Water solo in Berlin. It would be good to do both in one reaction to compare how differently he can approach essentially the same song.
I second the suggestion in the comment above to move on to Big Push ‘Wade in the water/Trouble so hard’ from this one! Apart from being introduced to another vocalist (Gorran), I think you’ll totally love Ren on bass (Goran actually changes the strap on Ren’s bass guitar mid song and somehow Ren manages to just keep his soulful singing and playing during that intervention) and the overall casual almost rehearsal-like feel of that whole performance (impro, lovely interaction between Ren and Romain during Goran’s singing part, … all done in the moment and making it look super easy). As for something new in the vocal diversity of Ren for you to discover, I can only tell you that I myself was very impressed with the almost gospel-type passion that Ren was able to put into his vocal delivery in that performance (true heartfelt gospel singing imho), so there’s that as well 🩵✨🙂👌 And as long as I’m doing suggestions, I might as well point out that Chinchilla’s live version of ‘Little girl gone’ (called ‘live for requiem’ if I’m not mistaken) is also out here on YT and that it’s freakishly good as well (live version is somewhat stripped down instrumentally, but packs as hard a punch -if not harder - than the studio version. Haunting, dark and full of vocal twists that are simply phenomenal…👍✌️
I love your excitement and energy through these reactions, they seem to feed you! Thanks for this wonderful reaction, I'm enjoying experiencing songs I haven't heard from Ren and everyone he's sang with this way ❤.
I love your reactions to Reni I can see your anticipation for the next part. I live your enthusiasm. Ren is brilliant in this piece. Tbe Big Push is brilliant.
You should check out the Big Push’s cover of Englishman in New York. You get a lot of vocal range from Ren in that performance, plus beautiful harmonies amongst the three vocalists. ❤❤
Love your vocal analysis videos!! Can you please do one on Sebastian Bach from Skid Row? Specifically the song "Wasted Time". I've always wanted to figure out how he sings so high & loud in mixed voice yet still remains agile with his vibrato. Such a crazy singer to me lol.
For Rens high range, I'd suggest Swan song by the big push. That is the first video they ever did live too and the highest sustained ive heard Ren sing I think.
So, it looks time for a playlist that has a Ren title to it. 🤔 How do you not have LOSING IT reacted to yet? Do not deny your future favorite rap song it's existence. Or did you plan it this way? I think it's the icing on the cake for you after so many. It's awesome. Ren emphatically states WHO HE IS in this song... in this jungle internet competition we love in. LOSING IT actually has BEAST mode. It's a great remake, Fischer
There’s another duo with Ren and Eden Nash called Ocean. I think it’s a cover or tribute or something, and I’m not sure if it showcases his mixed voice, but I remember really liking what I heard. Her vocals are amazing and I think he does the rapping.
Next to watch? 🤔.. Gosh.. Big push Wade in the water? Or with Sam Tompkins Earned it, it's a man's world? Or am I muddling up the mashups again? 🤔 😂 Loving the reactions ❤❤
I am going to add another Big Push suggestion. Sweet little lady. REN has some more ‘harsh’ vocal parts in it. I don’t have your ear so, cannot say it displays what you were asking about but, I LOVE his vocals in it.
I think Wade in The Water/Nina Simone by The Big Push is the best video to hear Rens voice. Also you might find Crutch by Ren and Bibi very interesting. It takes an unexpected turn vocally
There's about 2 seconds during the guitar solo when you can see both Ren and Romain's faces and they both are both just into it, the smiles are real and the emotion is so positive. It's at about 7:27. Love it.
The song 'latch' covered by Ren and Sam Tompkins busking is really great, and features a bit of head voice by Ren.
And Romain killing that guitar solo 🤌🔥🔥🔥
Crutch is a song you must, must, must cover...
Abandonment...yes! Exactly! They just get lost in the joy of the music and it is absolutely contagious 😊 😊
Englishman in New York (Big Push) is live, casual and perfection.
Next song should definitely be Blind Eyed for Music Crowns! He hoo hoos, sings beautifully, as does Sam Tompkins and he raps like a god 😂.x
Wade In The Water and Englishmen In New York are not just great vocal performances but his guitar (and bass!) playing are killer as well.
Ren has so much talent, he's not just a singer, rapper, and musician, he's an absolute artist

Yeah time to get to Sam! 💜💜💜 Blind Eyed live💜 there are multiple versions. The one with the "angry parking attendent" is my favourite, but vocal wise maybe the one buskin in Brighton.
Well now you have to do Wade in the Water and get some more Gorran (the long haired guy) and Ren of course
❤Rens voice is hypnotic….I agree with everyone, Wade In the Water with the Big Push❤
Wade in the water is a must, ocean and humble
I had not heard War Pigs from Ren. You're the right reactioner to pick listening to. You know s**t. Thanks, made that song even more appreciative.
Ren is so refreshing! I have been obsessed since first listen.. He and the others deserve all the accolades. I hope they get together again in the future. Happy I am here on this Earth to witness such greatness.
BONGO BONG!!!
Wade In The Water from the Big Push shows some pretty amazing vocals. Ren sings through the first half and blows everyone away, and Gorren finishes the mashup. I am not sure if you have done Ren x Sam Tompkins - Earned It/Mans World/Falling, but I think you will like it.
Oh! My woman. His voice is so so pure in this song. You'll love it.
I think you would extremely enjoy “The Big Push - Swan Song”. So damn good vocally 😉
The energy from these guys just busking is crazy. These guys at a festival would be explosive
I just found this video while I was re-watching some of the Big Push's busking videos and the first thing that stood out to me was how passionate you are about this - it's really cool to see someone so genuinely invested and interested in what they're looking at and what they're doing. Good on you dude
Your excitement was palpable! Loved it❤️🔥✌🏻🫶🏻
Have a look at Ren & The Big Push - Englishman in New York live, even the dog enjoys this one..
8:08 Well put! “It’s feel! It’s raw, and good, and real.”
The Big Push’s original, Precious, is a beautiful display of Ren’s vocals and mixed voice in a slower, heartfelt song. Next year gonna be EPIC!!!
Ren gonna be Singing alot, and I'd bet money he gets with The Big Push at least for a few shows!!!
'' Fire '' from The Freckled Angels album recorded while still with Sony
Could you ever imagine walking through Brighton City and come across this. ❤
You'll love this duet, Ren is all head voice in this & Chinchilla is all chest 😂🤯
CHINCHILLA x Ren - Sexual Healing (Marvin Gaye) Live Busking
wade in water , earn it feat sam topkins , this is what you looking for
Loved this. Both Ren and Gorran. Ren's voice is sublime in, 'Wade in the water', if you wanted to react to that next maybe?
What a band! JFC, I'd fly anywhere to see them play. Ren is an awesome front man as well as being a genius at everything else that is musical. Love your channel!
Wade In The Water.. Nina Simone. Beautiful voice and he features his bass playing skills.
They're such an amazing band. Really hope they do more together in future.
Wade in the water is a good call for your next Big Push busking vid I think.
Top tier musicians, all.
Rens vibrato is just next level man. And you can tell he feels the music through his whole body, it's mesmerizing.
For singing... Englishman in New York, Praise You and Bongo Bong!!!
Sweet little lady LIVE ACOUSTIC version by the big push
I just love your enthusiasm! It really makes me happy 😊
For a beautiful song by the big push is Swan song the harmonies are breath taking 😊
I just posted the same. I concur. Great vocals
Yep, I posted the same, too. It's a good one.
The Big Push Wade in the water - Its a great version!
You have to give Chris the full title otherwise he will get in trouble (again) for reviewing the 'wrong' song🙂
I love how you educate me and make me pay attention!
I love this cover. The Big Push always plays with such passion and emotion. I love them.
I concur
Crutch? My recommendation lol
If you havent already....Please please please do Wade in the water/feeling good Nina Simone performance. He's wearing a black tshirt in the thumbnail. That is my favorite. And Nina is one of Rens faves. ❤❤❤❤❤
I love rens vocal range he gets better every song he does
I love your reactions... so much love and passion. Thank you x
Loved this reaction, you´re always so fun to watch. Please do The Big Push - Wade in the Water / Nina Simone / Trouble so hard it´s an awesome performance, one of my favorites
The Big Push, Praise You cover, amazing harmonies

Great video and love Ren and the big push! Great rabbit hole. Lots more to go!
Another great video, Chris! Keep the rad content coming our way!🤌🏼🙏
Do Heretic and Ready For You both are good for hearing his higher register. He sounds very much like Jeff Buckley especially in Heretic. Also do Wade In The Water/Trouble So Hard/Nina Simone mashup with the Big Push and Wade In the Water solo in Berlin. OMG OMG wouahhhh phénomènal grandiose génies REN merci à vous 😱🙏👍👏🎸💖

Yes... at around 8:30 you Nailed it!!
Freedom... Natural... Fun!!!
Your next should be "Englishman in NY" by The Big Push.....make sure it is live with them on the couch
I love your excitement and energy through these reactions, they seem to feed you! Thanks for this wonderful reaction, I'm enjoying experiencing songs I haven't heard from Ren and everyone he's sang with this way ❤.
Oh my, riding the roller coaster of excitement and emotion from you…thank you for this! I love hearing the voice analysis, it helps so much.
The frustration of the song being over 😂
None of us are ever ready for Ren's songs to end. ❤
An older release "Crutch" with Bibi is another good one.❤
How did I miss this reaction Chris???? I'm late to the party on this one but always enjoy your analysis.
Try the Big Push Swan Song. They sing a madrigal in a church and Ren does the Soprano voice💕🦇
Love the analysis! So interesting, thank you!❤
I love your reactions to Reni I can see your anticipation for the next part. I live your enthusiasm. Ren is brilliant in this piece. Tbe Big Push is brilliant.
Oooo, yes!! Wade in the Water, please!
Can you provide me with a link so I make sure and get the right video ? :)
@@chrisliepe you bet! ua-cam.com/video/DbL7Frf6nJI/v-deo.html
I agree. We're drawn to Ren and all because we're craving that vibrant, live joy.
The Big Push's song Precious has some mixed voice from Ren.
You should check out the Big Push’s cover of Englishman in New York. You get a lot of vocal range from Ren in that performance, plus beautiful harmonies amongst the three vocalists. ❤❤
if we doing covers the sting one with the big push is good! an english man in new york with the dog
A fantastic and descriptive reaction thank you 👏👏👏
I'd love to see you cover the big Push's King of the bongo. Maybe not mainstream, but so good.
Awesome performance and unpacking
I love how this is rocking and a bit funky at the same time. So good!
For Rens high range, I'd suggest Swan song by the big push. That is the first video they ever did live too and the highest sustained ive heard Ren sing I think.
Yes, Romain usually sings the higher notes in harmonies but Ren shows his versatility and they swapped roles on this occasion.
So, it looks time for a playlist that has a Ren title to it. 🤔
How do you not have LOSING IT reacted to yet?
Do not deny your future favorite rap song it's existence.
Or did you plan it this way?
I think it's the icing on the cake for you after so many. It's awesome.
Ren emphatically states WHO HE IS in this song... in this jungle internet competition we love in.
LOSING IT actually has BEAST mode. It's a great remake, Fischer
I love your reactions to Ren so much and I seriously can't wait for you reacting to "Hi Ren live" 😍❤
Ren and Sam doing Walking on the Moon/Welcome to Jamrock.....you get to hear TWO guys exploring their ranges, in as catchy a way as imaginable.
There's some raw punk energy and attitude and great showmanship on display here.
I love Chris and his reactions! 🥰
Thanks for this interesting reaction.💕👍🦇
I enjoy your reactions to Ren as much as the music! Bravo Zulu Chris!
There’s another duo with Ren and Eden Nash called Ocean. I think it’s a cover or tribute or something, and I’m not sure if it showcases his mixed voice, but I remember really liking what I heard. Her vocals are amazing and I think he does the rapping.
Swan Song! That would be a good one to watch for his high voice. I think it was the first video The Big Push made.
Love your excitement in discovering what all Ren can do with his voice.
It's infectious.
Next to watch? 🤔.. Gosh.. Big push Wade in the water? Or with Sam Tompkins Earned it, it's a man's world? Or am I muddling up the mashups again? 🤔 😂
Loving the reactions ❤❤
You are my favorite reactionist!!!!!!🙏🙂🥰💖🙏🔮☮️
OH MY WOMAN ❤❤❤❤
Love your vibe when they started with rage ❤🎉❤🎉
Just found your page👍 cracking review 🏴🍺
I am going to add another Big Push suggestion. Sweet little lady. REN has some more ‘harsh’ vocal parts in it. I don’t have your ear so, cannot say it displays what you were asking about but, I LOVE his vocals in it.
Joyous.
Blind Eyed the Music Crown session.
Thank you for your reaction, your opinion matter much.
I think Wade in The Water/Nina Simone by The Big Push is the best video to hear Rens voice. Also you might find Crutch by Ren and Bibi very interesting. It takes an unexpected turn vocally
