OMG! I love Uranus! I have been to Uranus Missouri many times! My son and his family live a few miles from there.. It's always a stop while I'm visiting. Remember, the best things come from Uranus! 😂
Lol! on the Lol! Surprise. I cracked up when that statement went across the screen. What a picture that conjured up in my head. Thanks for the laughs George. ❤
Hi George! I’ve been following your channel for awhile now & love it! Seeing the avocado green Pyrex nesting bowls made me think of the ones I had in the 1970s! I also had an avocado fridge! I sold Tupperware and the main colors in the 70s were avocado, brown, yellow and orange! The push button lids were the rage! Thanks for sharing your antique & collectible finds with us, And thanks for all the education you share, it’s wonderful! Keep on shopping & thrifting & educating us all! 😃😊Christina 🍋
The Scrounge Around is the Best antique & vendor mall in Madison County, IN. Lots of nice pieces at good prices. The owners & vendors do a great job bringing in new "old" items weekly. My favorite place to shop...It's a destination!
When I was younger I used to drool over China cabinets, the cost then, never. Now I could fill my whole home with them, cheaply. Really look forward to following you George.
Oh, my wild George, you hit all these little places that I've never heard of before, but something else. Thank you for this adventure. Be safe waiting for the next.😊😊😊😊😊
So much eye candy in this mall. I have a working Sunbeam percolator, just like the one you pointed out, so I better take good care of mine. Thank you for the video...yet again!
Welcome to Anderson! I live here and have never checked out the scrounge around so thanks for walking me thru. I always intend to but it seems Im always on my way to the highway when I see it and remember that I want to go sometime. Hope you found the indoor flea market just down the street from where you where. They also have auctions there every Friday night if you are still in town
Hey George! This was a fun and educational stop . Did you end up grabbing the hamper? My Gramma K actually had that same one and she painted hers pink. I feel a little sheepish to say that is the style of potty i got my learners permit on. I think it had a teddy bear decal in blue as i had 3 older brothers i inherited things of that nature from. 😅😂 Stay cool and hydrated wherever you are this week my friend! ❤❤❤😊
George! I was thinking about the tape on the pottery and glass. Couldn't folks use saran wrap to hold there pieces together without causing permanent damage to the paint and surfaces?!🤔🧐😊
That candy shop looked so enticing . Here in Alberta, there’s a town south of Calgary called Vulcan 😊. Yes Leonard Nimoy visited there . They do have a replica of the Enterprise too . So much great stuff again . Thank you for taking us along on your journey once more . And as always , thank you kindly for your knowledge .
I was in Missouri once I never heard about Uranus. I was over by six flags don't know what the difference mileage is from all of that but I really enjoyed the stay there with very very beautiful there and it started getting very very cold weather 👍❤
Uranus is one place I hope to visit someday. The candy and ice cream shop looked nice as well lol. Also I think the happy to be me doll was $10.75 not $16.75. Thanks for sharing
Good evening, George. That seemed really cheap, on the glass-front cabinet. Aargg! Why would anyone put tape on something like that decanter set!? It looked to be a nice one, too. That drink glasses stand was interesting. That would be something I could find a place to put it, since it already has its own "display space" built into it. Wow, all that Hull Brown Drip, and not a piece of the Green Drip in sight. Loved the Lomonosov _Fishnet_ pieces! I'd love to have a tea set in that pattern. I liked those wood boat models, but my main interest is in the old pond boats. I tend to like the ones that aren't "perfect", too. I want them to look played with. That seemed a bit cheap, on the Northwood _Peacock at the Urn_ bowl. That one had really nice colours in it. It looked like it might be considered the electric blue. That was a cool place to browse! Thanks for taking us along!
I thought hard about buying the cabinet, could use something similar for books! Tape is the bane of my existence. I like the standing drink caddies, see them very seldomly...as is true with Green drip. I am a big fan of Lomonosov in general, such nice quality! I also like the pond boats as well, had one as a child. The Peacock at Urn pattern is one of my favorites, I don't know their colors well enough to say but it seemed bright and fun
Just found us one of those wicker hampers for 75% at an antique mall. Painted it light pink because it was grey. It’s like a clown car. It fits so many clothes
Thanks for letting me tag along and see the different beautiful things around the states. I know there are quite a few malls for antiques and there just isn't any way I can get to all. Have a great day and safe travels
Oh George, I’m afraid I have to correct you on the pronunciation of Ralph Lauren. He pronounces his last name the same as the girl’s name as in Lauren Bacall.
That is true! I think because it's a pseudonym, people have taken to saying it in a "fancy" style that I copied incorrectly. His name at birth was Ralph Lifshitz, he and his brothers changed it due to bullying
People are already copying them in my area I found a few at a thrift store but you could probably tell by the colors most just weren't around or not a combo that were used at the time
The colors on the LA Pottery plates are the colors of my bedroom in highschool. Bright yellow walls, lime green woodwork & orange rug, Feel'en Goove ! : )

there is a joke about a friend that is an astronomer. He published "Bad Astronomy". The ""joke" is his next book will be called "how to tell Uranus from a Black Hole."
George the video was so funny, just needed whilst recovering in hospital. Your videos are always interesting and informative thank you
I'm glad, be well!

That's right! Who knew?
Wonderful show as always! I fear that I am old enough to remember the “Love is…..” comic!
So do I
Your scroll…”my brain fell out of my head”? I laughed so hard, I snorted!!🤣😂
I will never expose myself to "LOL Surprise!" again
Thanks for showing us Uranus😂😂😂😂
Yes, and without having an Only Fans channel!
Something tells me you were a fan of the Saturday Night Horror Shows on T.V. when you were a kid. Too fun 😊
Great video George! Thanks for sharing!

Hi! Sorry so late with the reply, but I'm glad you're enjoying the channel. The Pyrex and Tupperware (and appliances) all matched back then!
The love is… cartoon glass brings back some interesting memories of high school.
I bet!
Always a great video George.

They are so well made, almost all still work all these years later!
Fun video, I learn so much from you George, thank you so very much.
Good evening George, OMGosh, boys in middle school would have a field day with the title of your premiere 😂
I know some grown men that would have a field day with it (acting like middle school boys). Some people's kids!
@@Sass-Glass Yes, they were a little ribald there!
Hello 👋. Glad to see y’all!
Great to see u too !
Lol 😂
Loved it! Ty,George!❤❤❤
I love the Lion GWW Lamp!
It is a nice style
I really want that picnic table ✌️🫶🤘
Yes! I'm sure they hired an artist.
Thx George! Great fun stuff!!! That stove tho...❤ super job as usual🎉👏
We LOVE Uranus! Especially the fudge!! My daughter was stationed at Ft. Leonard Wood, and we visited there everytime we visited our family!
It's good!
It was a wonderful place to explore, lots to look at, thank you ! 🎉
so many cool things .... fun adventure!
I thought for a random vendor mall, it was pretty good!
@@TheAntiqueNomad Are those L A pottery platters and bowls still selling ? I have 6 of them
I have been to the Missouri Uranus! Great fun

That would be a much better idea, a lot of shippers use saran wrap or the like!
I didn't make the premiere but I'm watching now. 😊
Glad to see you here!

So cool! I'll have to go there
We stopped in Uranus, MO last August on our way to Branson.
My home town!
Cool! Misty from Thrifter Junker Vintage Hunter is also from there
May I recommend a book by Sandra Andacht on Japanese pottery & porcelain! It will help you with your Japanese identification.
Thank you, I need to improve in that area
Lol, awesome intro!

Aww...fudge. You didn't buy any fudge. Fun stop.
I know, I honestly had a hard time feeling appetized by the double entendres, so I went to their ice cream parlor instead lol
@@TheAntiqueNomad lol Venus would have been more appealing lol
Hate the tape as well, can't figure out a good way to get it off, without taking the paint or flashing, frustrating

Hi there! You may be right, I have a floater in one eye that just appeared and may have misread

I saw the title and thought you were close to me in Missouri!!!
Now that I know, I'll make a trip
The hobnail cranberry bowl with white border is Hobbs Glass from 1880-1890’s
Thank you for that! I really wish I had your command of Victorian glass
✨❤️🧡💛💚💙💜✨
Lamp on top of bedroom set is Satsuma, not Kutani I think!
Hmm may be. I think of Kutani as more detailed
@@TheAntiqueNomadKutani=lots of red Satsuma=lots of gold & earth tones.

We can eat Fudge in Uranus ?
It's true
😂
How much was the dead bug by the globe? 😂
Free with purchase?
Did you even end up buying anything?
I did buy the items I noted, not a ton but I was heading back from the Springfield Antique Show and had already shopped a lot!
The colors on the LA Pottery plates are the colors of my bedroom in highschool. Bright yellow walls, lime green woodwork & orange rug, Feel'en Goove ! : )
