Warm 2 on this TV. Warm 1 is normally rhe recommended value. Filmaker mode and Warm 1 is off on this TV. He is correct. The colors aren't well done in Warm 1. It's like they accidentally put Warm 1 in Warm 2 and vice versa. His SDR settings are top bright with contrast and this is more like a standard human setup, that looks nice and isn't exactly closest to accurate in a dark room. Most humans start at Filmaket mode and tweak in some brightness and more color saturation. On an OLED or QD-OLED especially, you don't need to do this.

I would say one thing: through the setting you're doing on this TV, it's almost the exact same way I did it on the U8H without all the other extras. The only difference for me was the picture mode. I just left it in standard because the other mode made the picture darker for me.
Just picked up the U8K in 75” yesterday! Early Christmas present LOL 😂. I set my tv to what I felt was what I liked it at and it’s very similar to your settings! But I’m gonna go in and try to set these to compare and try the warm1 and Warm2
How do I get the TV to switch sound output to HDMI? All I can get is TV sound and when I try to select eARC it says "Available when audio output selects HDMI."
It is based on your content you are currently watching. For example, when I am on my Netflix app it offers Filmmaker. When I am using Roku Ultra HDMI, it offers the different Dolby Visions. I just got mine yesterday and spent most of the evening adjusting to different inputs.

I signed Into Google in my 85U8K and 12 hours later can't access settings . Blank screen. Can't sign back into Google . Only can watch using fire stick. TV picture is really nice .. Black level is good. Can't access WiFi in menu . Screen goes black . Hinsense told me to fix the problem , press the settings icon . The same settings icon that takes me to a blank screen.

I haven't tested TCL QM8 but I heard good things about it, I personally have tested Hisense TVs for years and they still work flawlessly and the picture looks amazing.
Someone please help me! My uk8 all my settings are grayed out no matter the dolby vison pre set I use. Even in dolby custom I still can't change anything. I don't get the standard picture modes eveything is dolby.
you'll know if what you are streaming is hdr. Dolby Vision is an example. Many platforms offer HDR in their movies. Vudu, Netflix, Disney, etc. When HDR is playing the picture settings will change.@@jeremybosquez6468
The Hisense is a fantastic tv for gaming, I haven't had any issues with it, the TCL also looks great, I haven't tested it but it also has all the gaming features.
quick question. when i increase the briyghtness to 100% my screen becomes completely white. how come yours is not doing that? i cant go above 50% without making the screen white. am i doing something wrong?

How smooth is streaming on this tv? Are there any issues? I'm contemplating between the 85U8K or the 85X90L since I do a lot of streaming of sports, movies, and shows.
I cross shopped this tv with the Sony X90L. I bought this tv. There was some very bizarre stuff going on. My picture was never consistent with the settings I had adjusted. I took it back and bought the x90L. The tv is amazing. I've never seen an SDR picture like the x90L upscales. Sonys processing is also amazing. I have been currently steaming some pre season NHL hockey games and all I can say it wow. You will not be disappointed my friend. Pull the trigger on the x90L and never look back.
@halfclappertopchedda Since you tried both, do you ever feel like you're leaving a lot on the table by selecting the X90L with lower quality hardware? The mini-led, the 90% extra dimming zones, quantum dots, and all the other stuff? Based on the stuff on paper, of course. Is it better to pick the better processor/ more reliable tv over the U8K with all the xtra features? 🤔

UA-cam will look bad no matter what TV it is. Some UA-camrs have good cameras to where it even looks good on a TV but most people even celebs in music videos have bad quality most the time. (Not always)
I cant for the life of me figure out how to turn on HDR? i can only see Dolby Vision when trhing to watch HDR movies? I dont understand whya im doing wrong here.... I just wanna turn on HDR so i csn use dynamic tone mapping. Ive tried netflix and Disney.
It's because you're most likely using the built smart TV features. If you have a console or streaming box that has HDMI you can use a HDMI.2 cable and from there you'll see the difference!
excellent vid. What is the reference video that is playing in the background? Also why change the color space... shouldn't AUTO automatically use the color space specified in the metadata of the HDR video?

I have the 75" U8K and after 6 months i can tell its the worst TV i ever had. And the worst part its that Hisense dont give a crap and says its normal all the issues i have with TV.
DOLBY V!$I0n?!!!!! understand there 2 versions of this tv the US and European, I have the latter, netflix, apple tv makes it go to Dolby vision, is there anyway to turn off? Not even through the native app using a mi box s, plz this Dolby makes me not even want to go to streaming services, or I find 1 and download it because then I can get hdr. It can't be turned off in the streaming box settings, does apple tv or another give the option? Dolby vision makes everything look smokey, dark and iv done custom Dolby settings it still sucks. The same story with my Samsung phones Iv always gotten the note since the 9 but realize we get the $h!t Samsung chip that uses 30% more power and gets 25% less performance?! And then Hisense are made in South Africa, that’s where I live. Please help me, I can send pictures or vids of what I’m talking about, Iv looked it up I only see things on how to enable it. On enhanced hdmi and settings on my streaming box u can either force Dolby vision on or content recognised like Netflix, my last Hisense didn’t even say Dolby vision it would normally be 4k hdr and Dolby audio, but even when I activate Dolby vision in the mi box u can see the menu changes shade from dark grey to more blue, warm 2 is normally my setting as well
I have the last year Model U8H in 75 inch & f*n LOOOVIN IT was the BEST Budget TV of the last year hands down, GREAT bright pic & great in blks , this year not all that good .is dimmer TV , blks not that Inky, NOT good on Dolby vision either...THIS year TCL QM8 took the crown, alot Brighter TV, is 10bit panel , blks is inky, VERY NICE in Dolby vision & HDR very nice TV all around looking getting one on blk Friday in 85 inch under 2 grand & thats a f*n steal ..they got alots of comparison videos in You tube next to each other , u can see how TCL QM8 is better TV in pic quality & blks ..this U8K got the carbon copy same pic quality of Sony X90L & that Sony is NOT mini LED

U8K vs Qm8 videos r not fair !!! None of influncers turn Black level(formally called “Brightness” ) down👹👹👹👹 F*led up! Go back to re watch d videos ! Evey one of them Black level all sit at 50% u touched ! I went to store checked 75” Black level is this yr (-10 to 10+) factory default 50% out of box at “0”. They all left at 50% !!!! 😮😮😮 It took me 1 second to grab remote to change to -3 to make icky oled black . Also U8K is tested at Film Maket mode ! Or Theatre mode (dims it , n Vast weird green film ) ! Its just effed UP ! U have U8H u should know what looks like ! This is the best budget TV in my opinion. It's a jack of all trades. Play Games and Watching TV are very good for the price
It's also the best mid range and best premium entry level tv. Best lcd under 2000 imo.

So my new U8K is displaying the Sharpness as not an option to change, so it is preset at 25. Tech support was no help.
I think because you are using HDR, each preset has sharpness locked down to 25, Theater mode has it at 7, and Filmaker mode you can adjust it.
Just got the 55 on sale for 699 wondered why some settings say they’re unavailable please let me know cause ive set up the tv through google
Which size U8K is this? The 75" is the only one with a ADS/IPS panel with a 2000:1 contrast ratio, all others use a VA panel with a >-=5000:1 CR.

I haven't had any issues and we use this tv everyday, this is one of my favorite tv sets, excellent picture, lots of gaming features, and great price.

I had to return this TV, the motion was god awful. Any darker scenes smear like crazy with fast movement, Hisense just has horrible processing.
Mine has a slight dirty screen effect in extreme situations but overall the image quality is awesome for the $$

How smooth is streaming on this tv? Are there any issues? I'm contemplating between the 85U8K or the 85X90L since I do a lot of streaming of sports, movies, and shows.
I cross shopped this tv with the Sony X90L. I bought this tv. There was some very bizarre stuff going on. My picture was never consistent with the settings I had adjusted. I took it back and bought the x90L. The tv is amazing. I've never seen an SDR picture like the x90L upscales. Sonys processing is also amazing. I have been currently steaming some pre season NHL hockey games and all I can say it wow. You will not be disappointed my friend. Pull the trigger on the x90L and never look back.
@halfclappertopchedda Since you tried both, do you ever feel like you're leaving a lot on the table by selecting the X90L with lower quality hardware? The mini-led, the 90% extra dimming zones, quantum dots, and all the other stuff? Based on the stuff on paper, of course. Is it better to pick the better processor/ more reliable tv over the U8K with all the xtra features? 🤔

Hi your settings for SDR helped me very much, however I can’t get really good picture for UA-cam. Could you do a turtoei for Hisense U8K for UA-cam. I watch a lot of Chinese drama series on UA-cam. Thanks!!
UA-cam will look bad no matter what TV it is. Some UA-camrs have good cameras to where it even looks good on a TV but most people even celebs in music videos have bad quality most the time. (Not always)

It's because you're most likely using the built smart TV features. If you have a console or streaming box that has HDMI you can use a HDMI.2 cable and from there you'll see the difference!
excellent vid. What is the reference video that is playing in the background? Also why change the color space... shouldn't AUTO automatically use the color space specified in the metadata of the HDR video?

Wats the difference between u8k and u7k in picture
The U8K has better overall picture, its brighter, it has more dimming zones, but they both have the same features and the U7K is a bit cheaper.

Try playing HDR content, either from youtube or netflix.

Decent settings for the averafe user. The SDR brightness is way too high. Shouod be about 50.
Will these settings work for the 75 inch model with the ADS panel?
Try them, you may need to make some changes but they should work.
I've never understood why people jerk Filmmaker mode off so much. Almost every TV i've tried it on just makes everything look green and dull.
In my experience, warm 2 is definitely better since I used to have the Hisense U8H
I have all the settings for this tv calibrated if anyone wants to use them just send me a reply I’m not a professional calibrator i don’t use reference standards i just aim for quality regardless if its accurate or not if you want the most out of this tv just hit the like and then comment thank you i just want everyone to get the best possible picture for there TV

I'm still using this tv and the settings look great.
I have the 75" U8K and after 6 months i can tell its the worst TV i ever had. And the worst part its that Hisense dont give a crap and says its normal all the issues i have with TV.
DOLBY V!$I0n?!!!!! understand there 2 versions of this tv the US and European, I have the latter, netflix, apple tv makes it go to Dolby vision, is there anyway to turn off? Not even through the native app using a mi box s, plz this Dolby makes me not even want to go to streaming services, or I find 1 and download it because then I can get hdr. It can't be turned off in the streaming box settings, does apple tv or another give the option? Dolby vision makes everything look smokey, dark and iv done custom Dolby settings it still sucks. Dolby audio can stay but that's the 1 I can turn on and off. Wtf
You have the latter? You mean you have the European model?, we have the US version, settings might be different.
@@JoelsterG4k unfortunately yes, did a month looking this tv and others up only to find Iv been seeing the us version but it’s the same panel, you have google os and we have vidda or something. The same story with my Samsung phones Iv always gotten the note since the 9 but realize we get the $h!t Samsung chip that uses 30% more power and gets 25% less performance?! And then Hisense are made in South Africa, that’s where I live. I really regret getting this tv I remember I had a Hisense u7a in 2018 and it blew me away this does too until I watch Netflix or something and it goes into Dolby vision on my streaming box or the tv native app. Surely there is a good 4k streaming box or a setting on tv that I can turn Dolby vision off just like u can turn Dolby atmos off? Please help me, I can send pictures or vids of what I’m talking about, Iv looked it up I only see things on how to enable it. On enhanced hdmi and settings on my streaming box u can either force Dolby vision on or content recognised like Netflix, my last Hisense didn’t even say Dolby vision it would normally be 4k hdr and Dolby audio, but even when I activate Dolby vision in the mi box u can see the menu changes shade from dark grey to more blue, warm 2 is normally my setting as well

I have the last year Model U8H in 75 inch & f*n LOOOVIN IT was the BEST Budget TV of the last year hands down, GREAT bright pic & great in blks , this year not all that good .is dimmer TV , blks not that Inky, NOT good on Dolby vision either...THIS year TCL QM8 took the crown, alot Brighter TV, is 10bit panel , blks is inky, VERY NICE in Dolby vision & HDR very nice TV all around looking getting one on blk Friday in 85 inch under 2 grand & thats a f*n steal ..they got alots of comparison videos in You tube next to each other , u can see how TCL QM8 is better TV in pic quality & blks ..this U8K got the carbon copy same pic quality of Sony X90L & that Sony is NOT mini LED
I am going to test the QM8 next, maybe do a comparison video as well.
I disagree i have the u8k and blacks are inky black and it gets very bright . I dont see how you would need it to be any brighter.

Black level is this yr (-10 to 10+) factory default 50% out of box at “0”. They all left at 50% !!!! 😮😮😮
It took me 1 second to grab remote to change to -3 to make icky oled black .
Also U8K is tested at Film Maket mode ! Or Theatre mode (dims it , n Vast weird green film ) ! Its just effed UP !
U have U8H u should know what looks like ! Apply the U8H “Brightness (which in U8K they changed d Name to “Black Level” to 50% , have it on Film maker mode or theatre night mode , having Back light 💡 U8H (now on U8K they renamed to “Brightness “) left at 💯 % on U8H 😮see what it looks 😮😮😮 like ! U tell me 😅
