What he fails to mention is, that 75" U7K is an IPS panel. Unless you are in a room with full lights on and the sun as your roommate, you'd never recommend an IPS panel. Maybe if you watch your television from the side constantly as well. As VT says, "I don't know about you, but I like to watch my TV from the front to see it.". Before you get into OLED and even Micro-LED, a VA panel is the inky way to go. The fact that you and he didn't do the research to realize that the 75" is the onky IPS panel. The reasoning behind this is: The 55" and 65" are usually able to be viewed from the proper angles and hence, are VA panels. When you go bigger, it usually means that you entertain more humans watching and its tougher to get a front on view. The 85" was added later on in the model cycle year and they had VA panels left at Hisense. That's why the 85" has a VA panel and had to jump drastically in dimming zones.
@@chitowncraig I own the 75" U8K TV set. The IPS-ADS Pro Panel is AMAZING - it is FAR SUPERIOR to ANY VA panel, any IPS panel, or any OLED panel! You can look at the IPS-ADS and see it with perfectly clarity - even when you are 90 degrees off to the side. And when you look at it from the front, you see the blacks with a black level similar to a VA Panel and OLED, because of the Mini-LED technology. The IPS-ADS panel also does not have "Stuttering" and "Juddering" as bad as the OLED TV sets. And the IPS-ADS is not at risk of getting "burn in" the way the OLED sets are.

When you select "Standard" you see the "Soap Opera Effect" even worse - but you will not also see problems with "Motion Blurring." If you select "Smooth," you see the "Soap Operat Effect" even worse and "Motion Blurring" will be even worse. The only movie I have seen that is compatible with the "Film" mode for "Clarity" is the 1989 movie Roadhouse when it was played on the Sundance Channel. @@midhunkk007 Based on my observations, the selection called "Film" is almost always useless. The "Stuttering" and "Juddering" always continues. Similarly, "Smooth" is almost always useless. I have found that the selection called "Clear" is the best one for watching movies. The selection called "Clear" does cause the "Soap Opera Effect" to exist, but not as bad as Standard or Smooth. When "Clear" is selected, there are no problems with "Motion Blur" the way there are with "Standard" and "Smooth." Also, one thing I have noticed is that selecting "Custom" and selecting 5 and 5 for both settings creates an excellent balance so that you do not have big problems with "Soap Opera Effect" and you also do not have problems with "Motion Blur." If you select "Custom" with 6 and 6, you eliminate almost all the "Stuttering" problems and there are no problems with "Motion Blur." You still only have a minor amount of "Soap Opera Effect." If you select "Custom" with 7 and 7 you do in fact eliminate all the "Stuttering" and "Juddering" in most movies. You do have a bit of "Soap Opera Effect" and in "some" movies you see a tiny bit of "Motion Blur." Dolby iq is broken, it washes everything out dark or doing a custom setting is the best way to go about it, if you have a bright room, definitely use custom

I just compare prices in US vs UK. UK version is 100% MORE EXPENSIVE !!! They look different, remote controls and OS (Android vs VIDAA) are different. Again, this is completely different and extremly more expensive model for EU and UK. Phil i really hope that you adress this issue in your full review and suggest peope to avoid this brand or suggest that if someone really want their TV's it will be better and way cheaper to order and import from USA.
My mood is horrible also. Oh, mode. The cinema mode is supposedly better. Filmaker mode looks like "ass" because it's for dark room viewing and the most accurate of the "Filmaker's" intent. Wr live in a world of la la la cartoon vivid colors and don't watch 4K Ultra High quality content almost ever. .00000000001% of content is 4K at full resolution. No, streaming at 4K isn't really 4K. HDR 10 and Dolby Vision at full 4K, again is almost never seen on a TV. I always go with Filmaker mode qnd brighten plus make it slightly more vivid. Filmaker mode is the baseline for Ultra accuracy on a TV. Unless you have a Sony HX310 Mastering (over 30 thousand dollars) Monitor, don't ever listen to these most accurate settings on UA-cam. He also recommends Dolby IQ? Any person that recommends auto light settings as an option, shouldn't be suggesting settings.
uh....sorry but film maker mode is sooooooo bad on this tv and should be only used for higher quality panels. This TV definitely needs the theater mode settings instead of Film Maker mode. Film Maker mode is great on better panels but I think this TV can do without Film Maker mode as the picture is only 600 nits out of the box and film Maker mode makes the TV really hard to see as it's not really implemented well for this set
I use theater day mode when I calibrated my Hisense U8K...Picture pops, black levels are great, contrast is great, colors are as close to perfect as I could get them...Film maker mode may be more accurate but all colors look dull and unappealing...I set my color space to BT2020 and colors look like wet paint...

@avforums as far as the u8k, most did the setting under theater day but you did it under filmmaker and noticed the u7k didn't have theater day as an option. What is the difference between the 2 in tour opinion
How is the motion handling on U7k. Judder and stutter?

Dolby iq is broken, it washes everything out dark or doing a custom setting is the best way to go about it, if you have a bright room, definitely use custom
High local dimming clips highlights and raises black levels. Picture looks way better for SDR and HDR set to medium
Hi I have a A7 model for Hisense and am really struggling with the picture mode setting, standard, dynamic, enhanced and colour saturation etc,
@AVForums, Please explain the best Picture setting for watching Sports mainly like Cricket.
When Ball moves faster on Ground then it is not that much smooth, I can feel many balls on fast moving scenes, even after I have changed the Motion setting to Smooth.
Please suggest.
Its the U7KQ with VIDAA OS
Mine also and i still don't have some of the settings.
I got a u7k 75 inch and my settings look nothing like this
How to turn on dolby vision ?
I use a Fire TV 4k. And put TV on turbo mode.
@@crg4869 i have Fire TV 4K MAX and can`t see DV picture mode settings.. How to put TV on Turbo Mode ?
The TV is great, but the setup has to be some of the most user unfriendly crap ive seen in ages. If youre not a tech guy youre screwed.
this does not appear to be the 75U7K
It's the U7KQ (EU version of U7K)
What a waste of time. Long elaborate video to just say Filmmaker mode is the best in every way. Zero value add. Avoid watching.
Well you are a right bundle of joy!
Filmmaking mood is horrible
I feel like my eyes are diff I hate film maker mode looks like total ass
Stupid tv😂
Why is my interface totally different then the menu you are showing, makes this video useless for me.
lol what tv is this
lol the U7KQ lol
uh....sorry but film maker mode is sooooooo bad on this tv and should be only used for higher quality panels. This TV definitely needs the theater mode settings instead of Film Maker mode. Film Maker mode is great on better panels but I think this TV can do without Film Maker mode as the picture is only 600 nits out of the box and film Maker mode makes the TV really hard to see as it's not really implemented well for this set
Yeah i am starting to think ppl ADVERTISING FMM r either need EYE glasses or they have back door incentives.
Can't stand this experts and the horrible filmaker and cinema modes.. no thank you.. standard mode always!
Standard mode is terrible
I've sorted Standard mode. Was awful now very good.
This is the u7h tv not the u7k
It's the U7K.
How do I get the UUID of the monitor?
