- We explore yet another victim of the Oil Change while you wait causing another engine failure. This Honda CRV was towed in after a recent oil change and had shut down on the owner. We explore why and hope the vendor responsible works with him to get this resolved! The oil change facility it visited has been contacted in attempt to make it right with the customer.

Extra big oof, Simplest job, costly results by not taking 5 minutes (hah) to check the dipstick.

I feel that. I do feel that lots of places do GREAT work outside our garage, but its important to understand that places like this don't hire technicians typically, just kids outta high school with little to no training or processes. And I do not want to be the one holding the short stick at the end of the day!
Ooooofffff.... I don't see how you don't catch that as a professional. The process should prevent that. I've only ever forgotten an oil cap once in a rush to last minute prep for an event and left it on the cowl (then promptly drove straight to Vegas 😬😄).
Agreed. This isn't a hard thing to do, but very easy to catch. Oil cap in the latch was always my recommendation. Close the hood and it smashes the oil cap.... But the engine is saved haha
