Good to see you back Al! That was a good, honest, balanced review. Thank you! I’m fed up with hearing eulogising crap that have been taking over UA-cam lately. You obviously like this knife, but are happy to show its shortcomings too. Finally, I’m glad to see that Kizer have upped their game on the detent front. Remember that one I gave you? I know you liked it, but I absolutely hated it! There was almost nothing keeping it open.
Nice looking knife, I appreciate you showing it off! And cheers to edc life for loaning it so we could have a look. Merry Christmas to you and yours, my friend!
I have the black version and have to say it’s a fantastic little knife it’s quickly muscled it’s way into my rotation. Good to see you back mate. Hope you have a pukka Xmas and an even better new year…
Nice to see you back , I’ve brought this knife and as you know it’s my ideal size blade and wonderfully fidgety which I also love and with my small hands its a perfect 4 finger knife , I agree with you about the pocket clip I’ve looked into changing it for a black one but have so far not been successful in finding a replacement, I’ve been carrying and using this now for a while it’s my new favourite edc and I am absolutely loving it .
Good to see a review and tear-down. Can't understand why you've called it "HH edition", though. It was never exclusive to HH. Actually a pity they didn't do one, it would have looked better in red (as long as it's not the insipid red they used on the UKPK).
I personally think the Spyderco Urban lightweight is a better deal. S30V, without the finish issues of the S90V version and at £70 is nearly half the price of the s90v version, and it is even £10 cheaper than the N690 version. Admittedly it is not in stock at Heinnie anymore, but that is probably because it is a really good deal. My mostly knife-phobic friend even bought one after I showed it to him last Xmas. I bought two.
I am referring to the HH special edition of the urban lightweight to be clear. The N690 one made in Maniago is fine, but a bit overpriced IMO, and I do not love the Maniago n690 steel, it is soft and difficult to keep sharp in my experience. The US made s30v version was cheaper and better than it in every way. The other HH S90v urban was overpriced and had some major QC issues. And there is also the k390 urban, which is just a beast for such a small knife, and was extremely well priced as well. I wish they would bring it back so I could buy a spare.
Just got the micarta version delivered. Very new to knives but the blade doesn't seem to move as smooth as this one? Is that normal with the stonewashed type blade?
I will let you and everyone know about the pocket clip and how the steel holds up
@Barefoot_Joe it's been amazing one of my favorites so far
Briliant pocket knife. Best action I've ever felt on a UK friendly knife. Came here to see what the bearings are!
First video for a while! Thanks for the review

I totally agree. There’s been some really nauseating vids floating about recently..🙈💸💸💸

Thank you, Merry Christmas!
Good to see you back. Been a while. Good review, although not my sort of knife.
It's a lovely knife! The micarta is really nicely done on the Sheepdog too. It's in my top 3 just behind the UKPK and Luna Ti.
How about the Spyderco Heine's edition?
I like this knife, missed out on the HH pilar so this looks like a good alternative

I really like the look of the Sheepdog Mini - good to see you again buddy...
Thanks for sharing,

I have to agree the urban HH version is my favourite edc. I have custom carbon fibre scales from VP creations on mine, it looks the part.
I hope your doing well mate it’s been a while
Just had a lot going on recently, I'm all a-ok! Thank you for asking man.
Got it for Xmas love it
Thinking of getting one but them scales are horrid lol, so is the black blade.
Do you know if scales are interchangeable with the locking versions?
Unfortunately I don't, if they are though, that would open up a lot of nice options

The red knife looks cheap and nasty and rubbish design
