OOOHHHHH That pint glass is almost as sexy as that boxed edition of Roguecraft! Ha ha! Glad you are enjoying it and thanks for all your support. Can't wait to get my boxed edition of Roguecraft too!
Ok that looks decent! I'll order it. I think it would play well on my Steam Deck (turn based is good when I'm on the train). I'll have to get an emulator up and running on it.
@@RobFisherUK I think this will be fantastic on a handheld unit like that! the steam deck seems like such a good device for this kind of use. I drive myself, so I am either at work, at home with my computers or driving car in my daily schedule. So I have managed to keep myself strong and don't buy one! hehe I kinda considered supporting it just because it was using linux though. To get some a +1 user behind it. But I ended up just using steam on my desktop computer rather. "Drinking beer and playing a brand new amiga game on the train" sounds like a good idea for a video!
Yes it is very nice this game. And very enjoyable to play. Chill and cozy. it did take it´s time to load from floppy, but I suspect it has a cruncher in front to be able to fit so much data on the disk. So absolutely no complains from me. It is very fast from whdload though (and I am glad they also included that version).
Yes. The music and graphics set up a very nice atmosphere. And another thing I noticed now that I have played it more is that it keeps changing. So the rounds don't look the same each time.
I was thinking it must be procedurally generated, being on 1 floppy, but then I realized that it's called Roguecraft so of course it is. Roguecraft = Roguelike
Pretty badass. I am thinking to maybe get a second Mister clone and to put it in a Checkmate pizza box case like yours. Cool game, cheers my dude. Appreciate you playing a game for this one since I know you're more of an art and demoscene guy.
Cheers mate! Mister is such a great setup for Amiga, and in the checkmate it looks stunning as well. I have mine in an A500 case with custom made breakoutboard for it. Sadly my DE10 Nano managed to get a hardware problem (instant rebooting when it does disk activity, no amount of SDcardchanges, SSDs through USB, PSU-replacement, RAM-checks etc was able to figure out what it is) so I had to give it up. It is in my plans to get one of those replacements for the DE10 Nano which costs a bit less! Let me know how your plan comes to life! If you want to send me a picture of your setup when you have it I have my email available at my channel page here on youtube!
@@proteque I looked into the Checkmate cases and they only have the black ones available which is ehhh looking since those look like some kind of okay Dell Optiplex. I am trying to find some kind of pizzabox style ATX case that would fit a mini ITX case and a Mister.
@@proteque only issue I found is that they only have the Checkmate case in black which I don't want. Gonna have to find another pizzabox style case to fit the Mister and an ITX computer.
Beautiful game. I like that it's basically turn-based but plays almost like Zelda if you want, you can go as fast as you like or play chess with the enemies in each room.
It runs smooth as butter, looks stunning and sounds stunning! So absolutely. I must say I really enjoyed the work that was put into the big box release! That glossy nice artwork, the big poster, stickers etc etc. Gives me the same (or even more so) joy that a good vinyl release gives me!
I have a capturecard that records it. And then I sync up manually in final cut afterwards the soundrecording, mic recording, display recording and camera. So it is a bit of work. Could be done as a stream as OBS can show both my camera and my capture card, but I did not do it that way.
It is! Impressive right? It did come with a whdload version as well! I have installed that version now to save me some time when starting the game, but wanted my first try to be with a floppy disk.
Lovely video, and glad you liked our little game! Thanks for supporting retro game devs. We really appreciate it
The game rocks!

Hopefully you get it soon. Postage between Europe and US is very slow the last few years. Takes ages both ways. And yes! One sexy glass! :D
a guy in a c64 tshirt infront of a miggy, I'm sold Mr!. :D
Everyone needs to be in front of a miggy :D
This video appeared just as I opened my beer. Prefect timing. Watching now!
Great timing. Cheers mate.

@@proteque yes that would be a good idea. I'll see if I can make it happen!
Thank you for showing us this great new game in such a relaxed way. I find the music almost hypnotising. Cheers
cheers! I agree. It is the kind of music that almost hurts to turn off.
Just discovered your channel and it was almost instant subscribe. A chill dude that's into Amiga and Black metal? Sold! All the best to you my dude.
hey thanks! Black metal and Amiga is two of my passions indeed! All the best to you as well.
What an amazing video. Thank you for sharing such a neat game with us. 💜
Glad you liked the video! The game is great stuff. I installed the whdload version and did some more playing after making the video!
Waiting for mine to arrive still! Thanks for the video.
Enjoy! (when it arrives)!
very nice game
& presentation.
That game looks (and sounds) amazing.
I particularly love how a missed input in the game prompted you to take another swig of beer 😂
It sure does look and sound amazing! Fantastic work by the team! Turn based games are the bests! Enough time to enjoy my beer when I make errors!!
Great game, great soundtrack, and quick loadingtimes!!

Now that's a sweet looking game and with music by the legend Jogeir Liljedahl no less :-)
Yes. It is awesome to see old legends has returned a bit lately. On demoscene parties and in productions like this.
I love the look and atmosphere of this game.
Yes. The music and graphics set up a very nice atmosphere. And another thing I noticed now that I have played it more is that it keeps changing. So the rounds don't look the same each time.
Cheers! NIce overview and gameplay!
Hey, thanks and cheers. :)
Jogeir's soundtrack sounds absolutely amazing! I wonder if it's available for purchase/download somewhere?
This is the sort of game where you'd quickly forget you were playing an Amiga game and would start concentrating on it just like any other game.
Yes, absolutely! It is one of those that just pulls you in.
Damn it sold out already. That's a shame. Anyway I've bought it the digital download instead.
wow that was fast! Glad I bought mine when I could then. Have fun! I guess the most important part is the game itself.
I was thinking it must be procedurally generated, being on 1 floppy, but then I realized that it's called Roguecraft so of course it is. Roguecraft = Roguelike

Looks simply amazing. If people could understand what it takes to make these, compared to typical pixel styled indie games on modern systems.
I think it is hard to understand for most people if one have never tried both!

Very good point. it makes sure it is never boring! :)
And, relax, you dont need to do youtubethings ^^ we love just to sit behind you and watch how you play the game! ^^
Agreed. I think his vibe is good enough.
Cheers, brother from the north!
Cheers! :)
the last time I got an Amiga Big Box game must have been in the mid 90's - though that's so long ago, I can't even remember what that might have been
My last was was actually quite late in the Amiga history. It was Napalm from clickboom. Cool game.
looks like a well crafted game :)

Oh, come now, that's not a big box - it's simply medium. How dare you, sirs or madams.
Hey, how did you "stream" the gameplay video into the YT? Via the cable (switch?!) into the streaming box?
I have a capturecard that records it. And then I sync up manually in final cut afterwards the soundrecording, mic recording, display recording and camera. So it is a bit of work. Could be done as a stream as OBS can show both my camera and my capture card, but I did not do it that way.
@proteque Got it, thanks. OBS looks great last time I tried.
I wonder if the CD32 version is the same
Cheap and looks fun.
Does it run on WinUae?
This should work perfectly in winuae. Even the cd32 version. I have heard it has enhanced music.
Is that game only on one floppy disk???
It is! Impressive right? It did come with a whdload version as well! I have installed that version now to save me some time when starting the game, but wanted my first try to be with a floppy disk.
Saw the beer, immediately blocked. Guys don't use alcohol or caffeine, it just makes you sick in the head. Drink water, breathe fresh air.
