- Force reboot key combination for BMW iDrive CCC navigation system. Use this to reset your GPS navigation if your screen freezes or you experience any other issues with system stability and performance in your BMW car. After pressing correct key combination your BMW iDrive CCC system will restart in less than minute.

Hit a hard bump on the road and CCC stopped working and I kept searching on UA-cam and tried to reboot it. Now it’s working normally again 😊 thanks a lot 👍🏼

Perfect! E92 CCC unit decided to freeze on the reverse screen. Other pages said hold eject for both CD & DVD… but the button you pressed (mute) as well; worked a treat.

My e60 2095 only has 1 cd slot and the cd changer is in my glove box it doesn’t work pushing eject and the volume nob is there something else I need to push?

that doesn't work for E87 / E88, you need to put key to ignition position (not start) then press and hold power button for DVD/CD play on for about 30 sec's it will then re-boot, your welcome. This ALSO fixes, ORANGE screen, distorted, fragmented or black screen

Will this work for 2013 bmw 328 I drive says NO SIGNAL. Radio still works but can’t see backup camera, navigation or menu at all. I sure hope you see this message!!

Does this reboot deletes the coding of nav? Also it requires any code after? I have some big lag in the menus and I want to try this.

Irrelevant. As long as the system is on - you can reboot it.

i have bmw 645ci 2005 model radio ccc reboots all the time , in the mornings when starting the car 1st time radio works but as soon as i turn key off then radio reboots until over night then next morning it works again

This is fine except that the E70 X5 has the dvd player in the glove box, so unless you have a 3rd arm, this won't work. Managed to press all 3 buttons on the E70 and nothing happens.
As they said, this is only for the CCC iDrive system. To those without the DVD player you either have CIC or M-ASK systems. So many people commenting about not being able to do this because it isn't applicable to them. For those with the boot loop issue (bmw logo and shuts back off to bmw logo again) this will not help you.

I have a 2005 bmw 530i, everything is still factory, im getting no and audio. My bmw screen comes on and just flicker thats it. I tried the bypass fiber loop and still nothing. I have been searching for a answer for weeks on what to try next. Im getting the sos malfunction

Rebooting the system might help but in 2015 BMW you will have newer iDrive system. Most likely you need to press and hold volume knob for 10-15 seconds.
@@mrfixpl if i have the newer idrive system would that be a problem or you don't see no issue there ? also does the vehicle needs to be on start mode or only on switch on ? just asking before i try this fix ☺

No. But replacing battery is not that simple. You should use diagnostic interface to code new one (type and capacity) and let the car know that the battery is new so it can correctly manage charging.

I have a CD that I can't eject.

Hi, my BMW X5 E70 i-drive display dims significantly sometimes. Each time I take to the dealer, they state they find a voltage drop. This apparently causes the display to dim to save power. When the voltage drop is reset the screen returns to normal. I can barely see the menus on the screen so the screen still works but it's just dim. Is there a way to rest this voltage drop? I've rebooted the system as per this video and I can see that this was done, but the screen is still dim.
If something else in your car is causing voltage drop, then you need to find it and fix/disconnect it.

Does your X5 have a dvd player in the dash? Mine doesn’t and hence, doesn’t have a dvd eject button. I need to reset my Idrive but the volume button and volume combination does nothing

Won't help with CCC failure. Just waste of time. You need it rebuild to make it working.
True. Same as the reset button will not help you if the hard drive fails. This is just for system freeze.
My bmw 120d (2004) is stuck on the BMW logo even after this, it then goes blank, and shows the bmw again, stuck in a loop.
Will taking the fuse out for 15 seconds help ?

It seams more like a hardware problem. Maybe the microswitch is damaged or sticky with spilled drink?
Time to replace the Idrive with Pioneer double din into the display hole.

@@simmi3647 Nope, not yet brotha. I had my battery changed a few months ago, and the fucker cost me over $440 bucks....... For just a battery? Imagine the cost for this problem...... Lol lol. But I think they didn't program it right, and it over loaded the idrive or something. I'm about to take it in this weekend, and I'll let you know the damage.....

Screen is totally dark!!!
F15 is too new of a car to have CCC navigation system. Try pressing and holding the volume knob for 10-15 seconds to reboot it.
But if your screen is totally dark, then I would start with checking fuses, then reading faults from the car to see what kind of error codes are stored.
How is it done without Nav (DVD Player) installed. I obviously only have the single cd player ejects button and it does not work. Thanks in advance.

If I have to guess I would check if the audio amplifier is OK. In some cars there was a water leak just above it (roof drains or rear washer).

Okay I just tried this on my 2006 bmw and it did reset but I still can’t hear anything.
You might have some problem with the amplifier or other component of the CCC system. Best if you start with running full diagnostic scan on the car.

CCC is the name of the navigation system in this video.
Check out application called BTool in Android Google Play Store. And buy bluetooth scanner. BTool can scan your BMW and will report faults.
