I'd recommend polycarbonate stab vests from PPSS as they also offer great blunt force trauma protection as well as stab, spike and slash protection. I wear one with my steel toe boots and a box/groin guard working the doors
My understanding is that you can carry a pillow to defend yourself in GB. just don’t hit your assailant too hard with it, don’t want to give them a red mark while they’re trying to stab you.
I slide extra plates into my backpack too. It adds weight but doesn’t take up much space. Just be sure to have them both facing the correct way as if it’s set up for wearing then one will be the wrong way round.
I highly recommend Israeli bandages and a tourniquet for an EDC first aid kit to supplement the Celox. Also look into expired (or current) AED pads for use for sucking chest wounds. Great video!
I picked up somewhere defensive cuts to the forearms are usual in a knife attack. We usually defend ourselves quite well to begin with. Forearms and hands.
Well as an answer to the question in the title, i suggest a rainbow coloured shirt, green checkered slightly short trousers, yellow socks and scarf, light blue or pink glasses and your hair purple. Guaranteed that you'll be safe, especially law enforcement will live you alone, more than that you'll have the protection of a president, they'll bring in a whole SWAT team just for someone insulting you. 😂 ( currently this is the best self defense)

Some really good ideas, Mike. I'd never considered the body armour aspect of defence. I particularly like the hat liner idea. Metatron regularly goes out wearing Chainmail under his leather jacket, but a lot of us can't afford that. Your suggestions are much more wallet friendly.
I just bought a steel ballistic plate that fits perfect in a rucksack. £40 on Amazon. Probably from China but if it stops a bullet and a knife stab from behind, I’m happy.
Be careful with the granular hemostatic stuff. Cuz when you get to a hospital they have to dig all of it back out of you, it can make the bleeding worse at that point. The hemostatic gauze or pads are better.
No item is legal to carry for the purpose of Self Defence! Keys, pencil, rolled up newspaper are all classed as illegal weapons if carried for defence. If you are questioned, NEVER say you were carrying an item for a “Just in case” scenario……and ALWAYS have a legitimate reason for having something on your person.

All have a use which I can prove to the police. Hold on to large split ring and it can be whipped into a face or hand if someone has a knife.
Kevlar in bullet resistant vests doesn't stop blades or spikes very well, they go between the layers of the material very easily, (its a known thing). To stop blades / spikes you need other materials or bullet resistant vests designed to also stop blades, i have videos on this if you need more info.

We were told that the best thing to stop bleeding out was crisps bags and the like? Large but ultra flexible so you can push down super hard and it will contor to desired shape. A credit car will be ok for a single stab wound but multiples not so much?

ONE ANSWER NO.if you defend yourself with anything you will be charged with using a weapon. You have to rely on our two tiered police to rescue or more likely arrest you. All defensive weapons are illegal unless your a migrant running around with a knife or machete.
The British police would interpret any of these as a weapon once used in defence you would be accused of going equipped with intent to create a situation where your defence would be interpreted as an attack.You cannot defend yourself in any way where you are attacked watch any police documentary where the police have been called to an incident and the first thing they do is arrest both participants till if your lucky they can clear you if not your both nicked .The only defence they believe is to walk away ( very rarely possible).

Not to mention using a improvised weapon is a legal gray zone if a cop determines you were carrying that weapon for self-defense you're going to jail that's why you're hands and feet are going to be your safest option legally.

Destroyed all my knuckle dusters (cut them up) some other items i had i repurposed to be legal.

How can a bullet proof vest not be stab proof too? Whatever material can stop a bullet, I would assume that it could stop the tip of a knife??

The British police would interpret any of these as a weapon once used in defence you would be accused of going equipped with intent to create a situation where your defence would be interpreted as an attack.You cannot defend yourself in any way where you are attacked watch any police documentary where the police have been called to an incident and the first thing they do is arrest both participants till if your lucky they can clear you if not your both nicked .The only defence they believe is to walk away ( very rarely possible).

@sharpknife127 no, we can defend ourselves. We can use items for self defence - but we can't carry them for that purpose.
@@bobadams7654 sure you may be able to use improvised weapons but you still need some sort of material art in order to effectively use those weapons. Not to mention using a improvised weapon is a legal gray zone if a cop determines you were carrying that weapon for self-defense you're going to jail that's why you're hands and feet are going to be your safest option legally.
@sharpknife127 totally agree. We train in Urban Krav Maga- brilliant, plus some other arts. NB so important to be careful when talking with the police if asked any questions. NOTHING carried is for self defence.
