Summer, if you live with them as a caregiver, sibling, daughter, and college student, I will support you all the way. Not only would you help the Mass Family, you would be helping Abby as well. Losing her brother will be a difficult change but having you would help a lot. I will help you with anything you need. Just let me know.
I’ve done nothing but watch your videos 24/7 since i first discovered you a few days ago. Lol i fell asleep to them last night and the night before on auto play. Love you guys!
Priscilla is one of those women who looks even more beautiful without makeup. Lovely inside and out. Like Mother like Daughter. Abby is a natural beauty as well.
You guys make my heart swell. I look after autistic adults, if only them parents had put as much time in as you they cold be living such a different life. Everything you do for her is amazing. I talk about Abbie all the time at work, and have noticed myself using some of your techniques in my job. As a whole you are an amazing family, the love you have for each other is amazing. Keep up the great work. ❤
Hey guys. Always glad to see Abbie, she is rocking theses skills out!! She's doing so amazing!! Priscilla, you look absolutely amazing and congrats on your weight loss this far. Super exciting!! I hope you get your iron figured out. I just love your family and I'm so glad I found you guys months ago. Have a blessed day
Priscilla congratulations on the downsizing, that is great. Love how you guys make a game plan for how to work with Abbie to get to a common goal. By doing that you are setting Abbie up for success.
I discovered your channel about a week ago and subscribed today! I am diagnosed with Sensory Processing Disorder, and I have mostly overcome it after years of Occupational Therapy. I’m currently planning on becoming an Occupational Therapist myself because of it. Although I don’t personally have Autism, it’s amazing to see such a strong advocacy for Autism awareness! Keep up the great work, Maass family! Sending love to Abbie from Michigan!
I’m in school for BCABA right now and it is tough but your videos like this make me remember the reason i’m doing it and gives me motivation. Thank you 💕
I found your channel a few weeks ago and have been binge watching. I have a 16 year old boy with autism and ocd and its refreshing that you keep it real with the struggles and triumphs because it makes us feel less alone. We just received a decent amount of funding to finally start therapy with him this month and I am so excited for him to get started. We have been struggling a lot with self aggression and im finding it much harder now that he is bigger than me. I hope the therapy can help him with this.
It must be frustrating, having to learn every single thing step by step, instead of learning observationally and being able to form your own style and system. It seems to be a point of aggression for my son as well. I love seeing her overcome it, and all the patience that you and everyone else show her is amazing. It helps me practice more patience with my own children, seeing it done and realizing how it can keep a bad moment as just a moment instead of an entire bad day or week 😍😍😍 thank you always!!!
I used to find your videos on Facebook every now and again and thought they were interesting but never subscribed up until a few weeks ago. I now watch your blogs every free second I get and find myself so happy feeling like I know Your family and like I know so much more about the world of autism. I do not have anyone with autism in my life and prior to this channel knew nothing about it, but your family is so loving and wonderful I couldn’t help but be drawn to the way you handle your daughter and the life changes that come with giving her the best care. I just want you to know you have shown me a whole new side to the world of people who don’t have it as easy as the rest of us. Love you guys!!!
Priscilla, never apologize to us. You’re beautiful with and without makeup. Now that you know about the lack of iron in your chewies, I hope you feel better soon. I love your family. 💖
I have been a caregiver for special needs for almost 15 years and I find this family amazing be amazing how they are just on top of everything when it comes to abby.. keeping pushing and fighting and be encouraged
Priscilla!!!! One day at a time and don't forget to stay kind to yourself. Just like your daughter is learning new behaviors you are too!!! All my prayers to you and your incredible family! Thanks to you all for giving us a window into your lives. You are a blessing!
So much love and respect towards your entire family. It’s amazing how Abbie impacts so many people’s lives. However also how you (Asa), Priscilla, and Isaiah impact everyone who watches. I have been watching for about 1 1/2 years and continue to learn about autism and acceptance through your channel. Thank you for opening up lives to us.
I’m so proud of how well Pricilla is doing! It’s definitely not an easy thing to do and change your life style and all of that but she looks like shes doing well and making some yummy food. Also, I love how much love you can sense through the vlogs. Not only love for each other, but love for your therapist and just so much love. There’s no doubt it gets difficult and frustrating and you just want to throw the towel in but regardless the amount of love you can feel from them is amazing :)
I had the sleeve and im like 6 years out. I take geritol pills. They have iron in them. They are smaller and awesome. They have saved my life. Love yalls videos. So much hope. My son is 30 with autism. We are using stuff from your videos to teach him. Visual schedual etc. It helps so much.
i found you guys through sbsk and i’m so happy i did. abbie is so beautiful and through these past few weeks i’ve noticed now i can understand her. you guys are awesome parents and isaiah is a super cool brother too!! i look forward to watching you guys everyday after work
This is what I needed today. I’m a behavior tech and my clients behaviors were similar to Abby’s. The way you discussed it made me feel better about what I’m doing and made me realize where aggression may be coming from. Thank you 💓
its def not an easy way out! its all about being determined to make a change. I know someone who had the surgery and didnt make ANY changes. still ate whatever, McDonalds, soda, pizzas, candy, seriously no changes. she did lose some, but tht was only bc n the beginning she couldn't eat as much. but within a year she had gained it back and now nothing has changed. so anyone who says its "easy way out", just like u said, just doesnt know any better. it takes lots of work. Very very proud of Priscilla for working hard and for sharing it with everyone to show that its more to it than what they think. thank you for educating so many!! You're doing great Priscilla!! We're all behind you!
I love you guys! I don't have anyone in my family with autism but I feel like I am learning so much and gaining new social skills on my end, like how to better communicate with someone that has autism. Grats to Priscilla on your weight loss journey and downsizing.
Do believe Summer should move in, I seen how much Abbie listened to her and really followed directions from her really well... Since I subscribed I can see that Abbie has improved with her therapist and you guys... Truly love watching you all... I just love it when Abbie gets so excited and those beautiful dimples come out...
Abbie is so prettyyyy, keep going Cilla you are beautiful Am I the only one here to think Asa ans Cilla looks alike !? It always kind of amazed me, when you look at Isiah and Abbie you really can see both of them it's a perfect 50/50 :D
Priscilla it is a learning curve with weight loss surgery. It will get easier as time goes on. I had lap band in 2009 and there are times I can't get anything to go down. On bad days do protein shakes. I would just drink about a 1/3 at a time. Then I will finish it by the end of the day. You are doing great.

I'm three years out and still have struggles, which is normal. Keep up the great work and if you see my Facebook message I hope it helps! I especially mention the vitamins bc that was a struggle too!
My big brother has Aspergers, and while it is a different kind of autism from Abbie's I find it interesting whenever I spot similarities. So @6:50 my brother reacts very much the same way Abbie did. Same noises, same hand movements, and walks off from whatever is upsetting him just as quickly.
Priscilla, you look amazing and you're doing great. Love to Annie & the family, I'm a new subscriber. I'm 45 years old with spina bifida & hydrocephalus along with many other things. I have no kids but I very much enjoy your channel. I first saw her on SBSK , I adore her.
My son was super overstimulated over who knows what the other day. Kept biting and other behaviors. He ended up biting my eye area super hard. He felt so bad afterwards. Wouldn’t look at me and was avoiding me until he was ready to apologize by giving me kisses and extra hugs. I know he didn’t mean to hurt me just something he needed to release. Still trying to find something that will help him when he’s feeling this way.
Finding your channel what just what I needed for me and my family right now. I stay home and care for my son. My husband works third shift. My son has recently gotten very aggressive. I have been afraid of ABA because in the past I had heard horror stories of punished kids or restrained kids. Being a sole care giver I usually feel so alone and frustrated. While I know his aggression is not malicious, it can be hard to handle. Thank you for sharing your story!
It took me 4 years to get my 5 year old daughter diagnosed with autism. NOBODY believed me. But then I found an amazing psychologist who listed to me and told me I wasn't crazy. She was just diagnosed last week.
I would get looked at further more with the iron deficiency . my mom is extremely anemic . Her count is very low at a 7 . she gets iron transfusions every week . and every few months gets a full blood transfusion . we have done many tests and it's showing that her body is loose blood some place that we have no clue and that her blood cells are not maturing. There is a diet you can try that helps your body absorb iron . avoid dairy . And nuts . but don't let the iron problem get worse. It leads to cardiac arrest. I would know.
Its not easy looking after yourself as a autism parent i know its very low on the priority list but what really helped me was getting a treadmill at home. My son who has autism actully quite enjoys watching when i am on it to so it kinda works exercising and looking after him at the same time.
Well y'all, I must be honest. Today sucked in my world. It is so refreshing to come to y'all when I lose faith in mankind. Thank you. Love y'all so very much. Tight hugs
Boy! Asa hit the nail on the head about weight loss surgery not being the easy way out. People just don't know; I'm 13 years out from my surgery and I get it!
I’ve slowly been working my way through your older videos(I’m addicted 😊) and I just watched one where Abby was having a rough day behaviour wise and she managed to break your large flat screen tv. My question was how do you keep your cool when she deliberately breaks your things? And does she get punished? Also is she capable of expressing remorse or feeling guilty?
I think i am sold on the idea too ;)
YAAAASSSSS!!!

Question of the day: Has Abbie ever injured herself when she does her rocking stim? Like when she rocks against the wall has she ever hurt her back?

Well y'all, I must be honest. Today sucked in my world. It is so refreshing to come to y'all when I lose faith in mankind. Thank you. Love y'all so very much. Tight hugs
Priscilla, You're beautiful make up or no make up. You don't need to apologize for how you look. Hope you're feeling better soon.
Congratulation Pricilla !!!!
Boy! Asa hit the nail on the head about weight loss surgery not being the easy way out. People just don't know; I'm 13 years out from my surgery and I get it!
I love when you say "hey sweet girl". Love your videos been watching every day!!!!
