Thank you for uploading this mini series! I haven't watched it since the late 80's! Timothy Dalton was handsome in the 80's and 90's.
    Greetings from Chile!

I have the first episode taped on VHS with bad color due to interference. Very strange to see VX footage this late.
This also has to be a rerun due to the 1986 Ford Taurus commercial around the 17 minute mark.

There is not much Quasar VX footage on UA-cam. Which is one of many reasons that I love sharing the ones that I purchase. The 1996 Ford Taurus has been voted as one of the worst Ford cars ever made.

@@renegonzalez6755 I love to see this footage. You as far as I know have the most VX footage on YT.
I drive a 1992 Taurus; it's quite similar to the 1986 model here and is a fantastic car. The disastrous ovoid 1996 model was a bold attempt to fend off the Japanese models. Unfortunately it came out looking like a catfish.

And footage of the sunken Titanic, which was only found in September, 1985.

It's so funny that, it's set in Paris, where jazz was invented and Stephanie Powers declares calls it 'American jazz'

Thank you for your comment. I am a fan of both French and Italian cinema from the 70s and 80s. They both differ from American cinema regarding the use of inner dialogue, choice of film stock and attention to soundscores.
The soundtracks of French films are sometimes their strongpoints. Have you listened to the soundtrack for the French film Beau Pere from 1981? I can honestly say that it is too good.

@@SarahSmith-nr2wj French jazz does in fact differ to American jazz. To me personally American jazz has more of an elevator music sort of vibe. The soundtrack for the Beau Pere film from 1981 is a jazz soundtrack. Like you stated, jazz was invented in Paris where this film's storyline takes place. It is a wonderful soundtrack that can be enjoyed regardless if one enjoys the film or not. It begins with a French language monologue accompanied by a grand master piano. This song has a slow and sad tone. The speaker is a man and he is explaining his current unfortunate situation to the listener. This is a wonderful way to begin this soundtrack because it lays out the tone. It also follows the inner dialogue concept which unfortunately is no longer used on modern day cinema.
The following songs use instruments including the acoustic bass (double bass), cello, Spanish guitar and violins. When a piano is accompanied by a double bass it creates a wonderfully relaxing atmosphere. This kind of atmosphere is sometimes used in public poetry readings and stand-up reflection monologues.
There are two songs that have a turn of the century saloon vibe. There technically are no more saloons but they are part of the history of France and I love the fact that such music is part of this film.

Makeup, skin care, perfume, deodorant and menstrual symptom relief medicine commercials are wonderful. Especially when they feature celebrities and super models. It is wonderful to see how women dressed, wore makeup and styled their hair as the decades pass by.
Douche commercials are in a whole different level. Regarding menstrual cup commercials, "damn dude."

It was really good when I first watched it in the 80's and although the picture quality is poor, the story is still brilliant.
