Christopher Plummer is so suave and debonair. Did I mention gorgeous? This is a great movie but I don’t care for the ending having to do with Christopher’s character. He was a hell of an actor. He will be missed. Rest In Peace dear Mr. Plummer.
Anyone notice the continuity error 21:52-21:55? At the door of her cabin she's wearing a dark red jacket; by the time she gets into the cabin - it's disappeared!!!

she;s a hypocrite acting prim and proper and deceiving herself into thinking that she really loved her husband when in reality she just felt gratitude and fondness... But her sense of correctness is stronger than her passion.
Jane Seymour and Lee Horsely are good in this. Cheryl Ladd is not a very good actress. This is definitely not one of Christopher Plummer’s best roles with that accent.
Don't expect any favours just because he says his father is a French diplomat. Robert shouts loudly at his father 12:20 " PAPER SHUFFLER , ITS TOO MUCH TROUBLE TO DO SOMETHING MEANINGFUL, YOU'RE TOO BUSY BOWING & SCRAPING ! ! " aka brown nosing & kissing ass.

Adultery is OK and that is it not wrong to follow your heart even if it meant that it will affect/hurt the people close to you... ... In most not ALL other Asian or African movies, Adultery is portrayed as shameful and not to be proud off and the audience mindset also reflects it ....
