Thank you! I flat iron every 7-14 days and only after I've washed and deep conditioned.

You look so happy while doing your hair! :) I always get so frustrated and tired when I try to do something to my hair 'cause it doesn't want to do anything except being a big curly mess. Your hair looks so thick and lovely ;*

Finally! A quality tutorial. I've been making the mistake of flat ironing my hair in a different direction than i want to style it, when I comb it it turns out frizzy. Now I know!

THANK YOU SO MUCH OMG. You have no ideal how much of a big help your video has been to me. Growing up a tomboy and not really having my mom all the way in my life it has been greatly difficult for me to learn the becoming of a young African American lady such as doing my own hair as we all know (Money doesn't grow on trees for hair salons) . I struggled with constantly trying to learn how to even grease my own scalp, and straighten my own hair and would countless times just wash it, condition it, and throw it into a pony tail which would constantly break it off. Major thanks for taking the time to make this video

I love this!! I am relaxed and I have gotten into flat ironing more often. My hair likes it. I have always been afraid to flat iron due to breakage but it seems to be safer if you take care of your hair in the interim....I have to beef up my conditioning though.

  • @TheMaishaHarris

I wrap my hair in a very loose doobie at night and that usually allows me to keep the volume of my hair. If I want a more sleek look the next day then I go for a tighter wrap.

Your hair came out so nice. I cryed a little for the amount of heat you used. Don't get me wrong it works for you I'm just terribly afraid of heat damage. I think pin curling the ends would do the trick. But I did find that achieving a good flatiron does require more heat especially for us curly girls.

That is pretty. I use the same routine and method as you do, except when blow drying I use the comb that comes with my blow dryer and I also use it on hot, that's what made me think it would look so bouncy. I sit under the dryer for at least 30-35 min too. Then that's when I use the blow dryer. I also would run my rat tail comb (which I have prob's with) when running the flat iron through. I am gonna have to get one of these combs. Could you please tell me where you got it from? I LOVE IT!!!
