Takenobu Mitsuyoshi is such an amazing singer, loved it since back in the day, this entire VF song album is awesome and i keep hearing it every then and now, love SEGA forever.
Damn, Kage-Maru can balance himself on a single bamboo staff, jump through the air effortlessly at lightning speed while throwing shurikens, cut through a tall thick tree several times with just a Katana, and took down a helicopter (a Russian Mil Mi-24?) with just one shuriken... well, a Ninja's life is never boring
I think you forgot to mention he could do it all while sing an incredible balled name Kagemaru is so complex. Yes, the life or a ninja is truly never boring.
In an ideal world, Sega would include the CG Portrait Series in a Virtua Fighter box set that included all the games in the series, including all the home versions...and Fighters Megamix as the cherry on top.
sega will be the most memorable video game company ever, they gave us so much...! it's amazing looking at these from back in the day and thinking it would take years to have games with graphics like this.. then Virtua fighter 3 came out, years of light ahead of the competition with their NAOMI hardware... sega was so unhinged and always pushing the threshold... if nintendo did the same ...! we would still have "real sega" today nintendo was always greedy and business driven, sega was gamer driven! there's always a japanese company in a certain area of business like this, for instance in photography pentax is the same as sega.. they didn't think about business, they thought about photographers...! so they bankrupted :(
Thats a nice little collection to have, i understand that to obtain the ntsc j dural disc you had to send off proof to sega that you had bought all the other discs in the series, is that how you obtained your copy ? nice things to have for a sega fan and collector :-) great stuff.
Sad all of these should of been extras in the vf2 game like how Namco adds extras in the tekken ps1 games. Instead the vf games on Saturn are so bare bones
Agreed, these should have been used for the arcade mode endings. It's bizarre that all Virtua Fighter games have zero storylines or cutscenes to get players invested in the characters, even in the most recent installment.
It's a Cd collection of 11 discs for the sega saturn, each for every character of VF 2. It contains a music track and images. In the West Virtua Fighter Remix came bundled with a cd with a few images of those cd's.
I saw these discs at a retro game store one time, and I was legitimately confused about what these were supposed to be, so that's why I decided to look it up here, and... well, it's just a collection of jpegs. It's not like there's any actual game here. It's literally just jpegs. I love Sega, but I must ask what the point of releasing these was. Was it to show that the Saturn could display high resolution images with millions of colors in them? That's the only reason I can think of. If anyone has a definitive answer, please let me know.
People coming from Highscore Girl.

I think you forgot to mention he could do it all while sing an incredible balled name Kagemaru is so complex. Yes, the life or a ninja is truly never boring.
And then Pauchan just eats ice cream and showers.
Libe Jenkins AND rides a bike!
It’s cool that the singer is actually Kage’s voice actor and the composer of the first two games.
Akira rocking his Shenmue look!
Takenobu Mitsuyoshi, we love you!
This was epic... So cool collection of art and music for those classic chars.
In an ideal world, Sega would include the CG Portrait Series in a Virtua Fighter box set that included all the games in the series, including all the home versions...and Fighters Megamix as the cherry on top.
En las imágenes de Akira se ve perfectamente que fue pensado como el protagonista original de Shenmue.
Always wondered what the CG series were about as I see them for sale on many sites. Thanks for sharing!

To think that people paid quite a bit of money when these were in stores... :)
I never hear of these until looking at a Virtua Fighter retrospective
sega will be the most memorable video game company ever, they gave us so much...! it's amazing looking at these from back in the day and thinking it would take years to have games with graphics like this.. then Virtua fighter 3 came out, years of light ahead of the competition with their NAOMI hardware...

nintendo was always greedy and business driven, sega was gamer driven!

Shinin star is the best!
1:40 Ryo Hazuki :-) Nice upload, do you own the whole set including dural ?
Yes all 12 discs but the 12th disc is the same as the european Virtua Fighter REMIX bonus/compilation disc! ^_^
Thats a nice little collection to have, i understand that to obtain the ntsc j dural disc you had to send off proof to sega that you had bought all the other discs in the series, is that how you obtained your copy ? nice things to have for a sega fan and collector :-) great stuff.
THE RETROGODFATHER : HARDCORE VIDEOGAME COLLECTING That's right. No i bought it.
Or is Akira anime version
Man Jeffrey song is very sad
Vegata Volt agree
Sad all of these should of been extras in the vf2 game like how Namco adds extras in the tekken ps1 games. Instead the vf games on Saturn are so bare bones
not true, you can put the real VF2 disc in a CD player and listen to the soundtrack. you can do this with many saturn games. bare bones? no way.
Agreed, these should have been used for the arcade mode endings. It's bizarre that all Virtua Fighter games have zero storylines or cutscenes to get players invested in the characters, even in the most recent installment.
Dural is hot.. she's Kage's mom
Really
YEYEYE the Japan Version is much bigger *_*
25:50 es perfecto para estudiar
i have almost all of them now only dural is missing grrrr.....

i like the music, but this cg protrait series, what is it? this music is part of a game? amv? or just a music cd? nice video.
It's a Cd collection of 11 discs for the sega saturn, each for every character of VF 2. It contains a music track and images. In the West Virtua Fighter Remix came bundled with a cd with a few images of those cd's.
The one deslike must be from Dural.
Virtua fighter remix pal ,have one extra cd with cg images but no have music tracks and only four images for character...

They are not jpegs, technically.
Also, who cares what you think? VF was big in Japan at the time, so it was for the fans. Nothing more, nothing less.
@@Dr.W.Krueger Jeez. No need to be rude about it. I was just asking a question.
Joel use characters wolf vf6
Enviado de high score girl
I love Virtua Fighter but never ever liked any of these songs in this collection except 1. That being Pai Chans. :)
why would anybody have ever bought this? Just discs of VF character images. And only even one VF character per disc!
Awful CG renders and vintage Japanese pop ballads. I get a similar uneasy feeling watching this as visiting an old people's home.
