It’s so exciting to see it lit up. It’s a lot bigger than I originally thought. I’m so happy you’re rebuilding the beautiful windows and not just putting in modern windows.
8:30 - Finall! Someone who thinks about the next guy who has to work on something! Always leave a tab at the end of a tape job, AND on the end of the roll of tape. A great time and aggravation saver.
I have vented 100s of bath fans…. That being said I would change out the hose you used either for rigid or semi rigid. That flexible hose will cause issues over time. I’ve had to switch out many that were broken and leaking from moist air condensing in them
So excited to get another video and wow the light beaming in shows the nice size of the room The window is so beautiful and all the work you have done cleaning up shows what a great property you got! Catching on your past videos so happy I found your channel!
You can already see the upstairs floor will be very beautiful with all those period features like the windows, doors and fireplace... well done... I hope you will be able to replicate the windows for the downstairs floor since many of them have been removed and bricked in.
I am excited to see how this turns out. There is an old building in a small Missouri town that I am fascinated with that doubt I will ever own it. I can experience that dream vicariously through your videos.
I appreciate your explanations, how to and why do is very appreciated. When appropriate I tried to give my kids the why, if you really want to learn something, WHY is important to you. Your hard work is paying off the place is coming along nicely. TY for sharing we understand when yo can’t video everything. Take care, stay safe and healthy til next time. Sending❤
Seal the edge of the rolled roofing to prevent water from going under lifting the material. Getting a lot of important projects going so the real work can get going .
It is looking great! When you are too busy to film 'how to' videos it is okay to show us project update videos on what you accomplished over the past few days.
That's great that the roof has 15 more years on the warranty. I'd like to take out a recessed light that never worked above my tub/shower and put in a vent fan with light. Everything is starting to look very nice, thanks for the update.
Thanks for the excellent tutorial! I've been following your adventure with this building with great interest and this tutorial was very nice and very clear.
When you are looking for metal tape in the hardware store, get the kind with the backing, like is shown in this video. The stuff with no backing is not good for much, it is just silver colored cellophane.
You should be using a hose clamp instead of the tape to attach the hose, that tape will not last very long. In addition, you should be using an insulated duct so not as much moisture accumulates in the hose in the cooler months.
Does your state subsidize solar power systems? Without electricity from the grid any form of solar could be beneficial, even small zoned units for basic lighting. Nice soffit vent install!
Aaaaaaah ! The ZEN roofing COmpany has finished the job... BTW: How did the guys at the dump react to you bringing something sweet ? And what did you bring them if I may ask ??
Dryton, nice job done! And something about videos...I my mind it is not important to hear YOU every second explaining something fluently!! I like to watch from a disance angle perhaps to be a part of how you do your things, and how it grows. that means also to see the mestakes you make perhaps inbeetween!
Hi, if the tiny room is getting hot, why didn't you put some thick pir insulation on the roof under the roofing felt? You have the height for it. Shame that the soffit vents are not centred, one is closer to the wall. If you gonna make how to do it videos to inform us, it would be nice if it was spot on, this looks more like a "this is how I do it" video. But every beginning of each project is hard, even for pro's. Good luck.
The room wasn’t getting hot, but in preparation for when the ceiling goes on and the building is complete, we are preparing ahead of time. The vents are symmetrical & fit within the rafters without obstruction. Some may choose a different method, however, this is most appropriate for the situation. Thanks for watching!
You didn't plan to repair the roof? Roofs usually last forever, I understand your oversight. Seriously? you have no issue admitting you didn't think 20 year roof first? Same when I was trustee for a motel... told the buyers to fix the roofs first, they insisted on buying mattresses first, hindsight of being your own expert.
You're very fortunate that the building has a good roof and still under warranty, that's a huge relief. Love that half circle window.
Being a bank most had this domed second floor window.
Used for the filing clerk office.
Can't believe I watch a full 13 minute video of soffit vent installation... great stuff!
see how your comment is not at the correct video? aint that weird/?

Wow ! The old bank is already looking a lot brighter and a lot better !! Keep up the good work !!!
Nicely done Drayton. You keep continuing this it is like watching This Old House with Bob Villa but now it is you. lol
That Diocletian window is glorious. This apartment is going to be so nice when it’s done.

We live in the area and considered buying that building. Very happy to see what you guys are doing. Would like to meet y'all. -Geoff
Glad you're using the old doors!
Looking great dude! I’m loving seeing the progress being made
Enjoyable series. It's day one for me watching your uploads. Thanks for sharing. 😀👍

He's using an electronic camera to record on memory media. There is no film involved. Thus he is not filming.
Living not far away I admire your work with no AC and missing pains glass.

Good to see it coming along on its way back to a gem of a building! Nice work
Sounds like Church Bells in the background. Joyful noise not heard in HTX anymore! Windows look fantastic!
Great job on your content today, very compete and smooth.
Thanks for the excellent tutorial!

Flashing at top of roof slope should be on top of rolled roofing, otherwise water will go down wall and underneath.
This is an awesome project, i'm jealous.
Really enjoying your videos. Love the bank. Excited to see the transformation
What a beautiful window!

looks strong enough for a roof terrace ? :)
Aaaaaaah ! The ZEN roofing COmpany has finished the job...

❤😊
Sides may be a leak issue too.
Tested it with plenty of water, no leaks. Everything is sealed up properly. Thanks for watching!
Is there a budget for the project?

Opening a brewery in this building?
???🍺👌🏾
Did not know roof warranties were transferable.
I wish I was younger and was able to take on a project like the bank. I’ll enjoy your hard work instead.
I’m sure that the whole town is curious about what’s going on at the old bank building.
Oh, just replace the windows with vinyl. 😁
1st? :)
Enjoy the vids. Just a heads up you are 35 minutes away from Ninety Six National Historic Site. Passport stamp.
No Inspection?
