I disagree that "30-60"s are ideal for training the SDC. I have maxed this event as a former 400 runner and I feel the exact same at the end of this event as I used to at my races. Ideally, you would try to run 400-600 meters as hard as you can.
thanks for this, im an 8th grader and about 90 pounds, i did practice in gym but my time was over the limit, i think it was the drag that slowed me down and not only that, i’m really skinny and tall, but not athletic and the drag had me almost dead!
Hey Sir, since the standards have changed (I need to pass this with in 2:45 instead of 3:00). My legs, mostly quads lock up and can't seem to recover enough for the 2 mile run. And tips? I can do everything and pass everything but when I complete the SDC event, I pretty much got nothing left for the run...
You do not drag a casualty that way it is inefficient for both parties which goes to show you are not thinking about getting someone there safe. Turning around and dragging is way more efficient and would benefit way more then letting the enemy get to the wounded if everyone is dragging that way it is specifically harder for people when they weigh more. Get on all fours and crawl their ass up their with they hands on your neck, fireman carry, or look the opposite way while they maintain fire
What will my time be for my Sprint, Drag, Carry for time?
1:30
There most definitely is a tactical significance. Dragging wounded? Carrying ammo cans?
The part that slows me down the most is that drag, but I weigh 119# so it's almost as much weight as me haha Thanks for the video!
That drag ain’t no joke 🤣
Pure test of anaerobic
I hate it too 🥴 I weigh 130
The only leg where you need to cross the line is on the sled drag. All other legs require only touching the line with just a foot or hand and foot.
Thank you for this video. I like the tip on the placement of your feet during the sled drag.
✊🏾
Thanks for the video! You explained everything so well
Thank you!

I really think this is the hanger I used to work at. R you in fort wainwright? Is it hanger 1, where UAV was?

That’s what kills ya is that run
You need to do more sprints to build that muscle. Check your nutrition too.
Hi! What are the tools that I can use for this work out?
No tactical value???? It literally shows what it is for, using a SKEDCO for its purpose which is dragging casualties or any equipment needed.

50m 😢 I thought it was 25m 🥲
Stupid event..... a shuffle? Really
dragging the sled and kettle bells are extremely useful maybe they needed something to fill in the gaps lol
@@vaitomanocu5562 simulating how exhausted you're gonna be when you're on a battlefield and run to carry an injured soldier or equipment
Not even effective shuffle like football or basketball getting you to point a to b quick nah its head high shuffle like bro that's slow in itself
This the easiest part of this event
