My parents have them all over their trees, same sound, same look, same shell skin thingy 😝 Jasper (rv cat) wants to know if you’ll adopt him because his humans suck at teaching him the back pack 😂. Hello to brave Benny! Another beautiful hike. Of those grouse startle me every time 😂
Yay! Thanks for helping us identify the bugs! We've never seen them before, so thanks for the help 🙏 Some cats take longer to get used to a backpack. Consider starting off with a couple of minutes everyday just in the rig and then slowly progressing to longer times and eventually going outside a bit too. If you haven't already of course. Plus lots of treats helps. Benny now associates his backpack with getting his favorite treats, so he tolerates it 😁
I think it was a "shoo fly! shoo!" Man, the bugs! lol That was a pretty cool hike, eh? We love that you guys take Benny along by the way... I'm sure we've said that before but it deserves repeating... lol Grouse are spooked pretty easy and they can spook you more than you spook them.... lol My dad used to take me grouse hunting when I was a kid and I never got one because they always scared the crap out of me and got away before I recovered... Anyway, awesome video guys... :) We are officially back from our vacation now so we can get caught up on all the UA-cam we've missed out on for the past couple weeks... God bless you guys and watch out for them grouse and insects.. .lol Kevin and Kristi
Lol, yeah I could see how hunting grouse would be tough if they keep scaring you and getting away 😅 My Dad said that he used to "hunt" them too which just ended up being a fun walk in the forest.

Hey Mel and Jay , Thanks for posting all the places I keep meaning to stop by and check out. That area sure has been hit hard from forest fires this year. Frog Rock is actually on the Thompson River at that point, The Nicola River flows into the Thompson at Spences Bridge. Have you guys tried Goldpan Provincial Park for camping ? about another 10km further up the #1
Hi Jay! Yes, that area was devastated from the wildfires and we hope that it will recover so we can go enjoy it again one day. Thanks for the correction on the location of frog rock. So many rivers around there it's hard to keep them straight sometimes. We have not checked out Goldpan yet, but we will have to add it to the list. Thanks for the recommendation 😀
I see you guys have been posting consistently for awhile, UA-cam is hard to get organic views these days. TikTok is the best place for that these days, pretty easy to gain followers there. Also start a FB page and make interesting posts, maybe of some video clips montage or something and then boost the post. Thats the best way to drive traffic cause UA-cam really doesnt help smaller channels much anymore which is a major bummer
