Always eager to learn and discover more. 1 (very basic) thing I'd really like to get comfortable with is putting together a nice EDM-beat or drum-loop from scratch. I know it's very beginner-level but it's so easy to use existing drumloops or beats without having to throw in separate kicks/claps/snares etc each time. However, as I'm learning more about mixing and mastering, it becomes crucial to have separate tracks for the different components that make up the drums/beat so I'd like to start creating them myself. Any pointers or advice you could give? Thanks

How do you make REALLY BIG chords?; 2) If you have two chord tracks with different instruments, should they play the same exact notes? 3) Is there any rules of thumb for when you should or shouldn't start, say, the 2nd and 4th chords a bit early? 4) Are there any tricks for including a little bit of a melody right within a chord progression, rather than a fully formal separate melody line. 5) What's the best method for adding "passing" chords. 6) When should you add a 6, 7, 9, 11, etc. to a chord? 7) How do you audition MIDI files? Your packs have literally thousands. Drag and dropping into a DAW is too time consuming. Ableton has a MIDI preview feature, but it doesn't auto-play, so it's tedious. The Windows apps Falcosoft MidiPlayer (my current fav) and MidiYodi with it's File Explorer feature work reasonably well. VLC Media Player will play MIDI files if you double-click from, say, a standard Windows File Explorer window. Any tips here? FYI I started following your "2-3" and "3-2" Strategies until I realized you were just making basic three-note triads. LOL
