i would not mind a having a reason to use a bolt action more often but my only realy gripe aside from the bugs that have been in the game since launch not being fixed is how awful the experience gain is it takes so horrendously long to level up the roles like i have a 40 kill game earlier as squad leader destroying a dozen outpost and even 4 garrisons and i built a couple for my team and the rest of my squad were popping off too only one other dude had a mic but we were shredding them till the last point and before we lost momentum then the game but for all of that and for us even getting best squad i only get a little over 2000 experience and its not even 1 fourth of my experience bar for the class is wild it feels like it takes ages to level up past 5 for a role and seeing my experience game after one of my best matches i ever had be that low was crushing
Team 17 is slowly making this game worse update by update. The game play was better when it first came out. I wouldn't complain at all but the price hike thing bugged me too. Good luck, great video.
Every couple of months there's a youtube video saying Hell let Loose is dying and in a couple of months there will be another video saying Squad 44 is dying. It's been like this for years. Nonsense.
Fr bro why can't people just enjoy a game and stfu. Hell let loose and squad 44 are both fun ww2 games, sure they can be a bit rough around the edges sometimes but overall they are not incomplete trainwreck experiences like most of these videos say.
I watched UA-camrs play this game for years. I downloaded immediately when I heard it was coming to gamepass and have been playing it almost every day since. Love this game, I’ve gotten really good and I don’t want it to die when I’ve only finally gotten my hands on it.

The use of paratroopers in World War II was a significant military innovation. The devs have already made the parachute an ingame thing so dropping Airborns forces should be possible. Some maps could be representing: 1. Operation Weserübung (April 1940): The German invasion of Norway, including first use of airborne operations in Stavanger Norway 2. Battle of Crete (May 1941): A large-scale airborne invasion by German paratroopers to capture the Greek island of Crete. 3. Operation Torch (November 1942): Allied paratroopers were used in the invasion of North Africa, the first major airborne operation by the Allies. 4. Sicily Invasion (Operation Husky, July 1943): Allied airborne forces were used extensively to secure key objectives in the invasion of Sicily.
Just so you are aware Cover Six Studios, the team was brought on to work on HLL has already disappeared which leads me to believe that T17 is now going to rely on several contracted individuals to work on the game rather than an actual dev group/team which is probably the biggest red flag in my opinion .

Love HLL. Been playing for 3 1/2 years, right before it came out of early access. I don't want to see it die. Why not introduce a Finland vs. Russia map. HMG placements, along with mortor placements or mortor teams, maybe three per side. Make arty a call in, like air drops, and bombing runs. And I have fun on Driel, when I'm the germans lol cheers man. Love your videos!
Honestly, I don't have a problem with the price of the game. I bought it for £49.99 back in February and have loved it - they just need to give the updates that people are after.
Definitely want to see more British maps. I bought the red devil's skin, it looks so cool when there is a few of you with that skin in your squad. Trouble is I hardly ever get to play that one and only map. I'd love to see maps of Tobruk, Dunkirk, Arnhem and Pegasus Bridge. At least then there would be more maps with British Paras
Another great video man, good jokes in the mix as well. It’s appreciated to have a middle of the road approach. T17 have been far from perfect but they haven’t been the plague either. The community has been justified in many different things but isn’t right all of time either. I don’t think HLL is dying but it’s in a precarious state, and could go either way in the next 6 or 12 months. With console server browsers coming shortly, it could help the game overall even if it doesn’t do a lot to the PC. Either way, we hope that T17 can do well in growing the game and making it better. In terms of comparisons to S44, we should hope that both games are healthy for competition sake. In theory it helps to drive innovation and good changes. Just my thoughts Once again, nice work bud!
The fact they quietly increased the price to now 50$ on steam is absolutely disgusting with the state the game is in, they are milking the playerbase for all their money they can, only to then give half assed updates and never fulfilled promises for what is to come, and at this point, im never going to go back, because i have extreme doubts the game will get any better than it is right now.
Sadly in my opinion yes. A lot of the games I get in the morning from 6:00 to 11:00 usually only have 67 players each map and from 6:45 to 12:00 the game is also averaging around 60 players sucks to see one of my favorite games dying
100% agree with the what people want list. Main thing for me is the player communication has just dropped off , no one talking , no outposts. Last couple of months just dropped off
They need to listen to the players for now. I think for the skin pack recently made, they should’ve made it free or very cheap, or not added it until there is a ton of Lüttich maps. I also still want France as a nation.

This game has so much potential even still, unfortunately we have roadmaps full of at least 10-12 things a year, and we maybe get 3 a year at best. I feel like they need to add things like grenadier/mortor squads etc to change the game up to keep it fresh, imo
I feel like adding more than 1 map per update would be a nice change as long as they can manage it, as well as adding new vehicles and armor. Make half tracks troop transport, make them take two hits instead of one, could be great for getting troops into a hard point when combined with tanks. And everything else you mentioned is great too. Make the gameplay more dynamic and add new maps.
So about people being unhappy even when they do a good update. Prime example is 15.1 aka the last update as of writing this. They added some night variations to US maps, opened some streets and houses in carentan, overall a nice x.1 update. The problem is that with the update came new weird and some of them unbelievable (the bridge rail bug) bugs. From my memory after the British release i dont remember a single update that didnt bring some new bug or didnt hit the performance even more than it already is.
What i prefer about S44 is tanking. It's much better and more immersive. An example: Take a fight with a P4 against a Sherman Easy8 is possible without knowing the result. Just because you have a heavy tank doesn't mean you win a fight instantly against a medium. You need to know where to hit the Tank (ammorack, engine, fuel etc.). THIS makes every destroyed enemy tank feel like you won the whole battle.
I hope they can start doing right by this game. I noticed they just released a new game and maybe that was taking up some of T17's time to work on HLL. Most of the games they are a part of are not like HHL at all. Pixel or cartoon style games is what they have made so far and I feel like HHL is too far over their heads. Half of the issue is players not using mics so I cant knock T17 too much.
Maybe not dying. But Squad44 / Post Scriptum is the better title, it always was imho in terms of maturity, immersion, and tactical depth, and seemingly, the new devs and the growing player base of that game have understood. At least worth a good look.
i don't know where the hate comes from to be honest, that said i paid £35 for it on xbox and then £26.00(on sale) for PC. I cancelled my Battlefield 2042 preorder of £70, and got Hell Let Loose and got a brilliant game. Love WW2 games, and it has great mechanics to it. I'm old school, and i very rarely buy additions to games, maybe a map pack or something. I do find it funny how Devs mess up with cosmetics, given there are plenty of people out there that are willing to give them money for uniforms.
Im not programmer either but as player simpliest thing for me would be slowly adding content so they keep players hooked up and fixing issues with current bugs and when they will have maybe like 40% or 50% bugs fixed they can add one big update with some new uniforms or new mod and it would be for reasonable price. I understand they want to make money but adding only uniforms would only ends up to killing the game, this is not fortnite or COD.
Every month we get some video like this, every day on the HLL discord there's someone saying go to Squad 44. The reality is this: Squad 44 is a mediocre game and only caters to an extreme player base, the base gameplay is boring for the majority of players, it doesn't encourage casual players to enter the game. Until the dev team for that game encourages faster movement, no stamina fatigue, and gets graphical improvements the majority of HLL casual players aren't going to go anywhere near it. HLL player numbers are only available on PC, in the last 30 days, the average number of players for HLL was 4,873.3. Squad 44's is 634.8. Now if someone can tell me that Squad 44 is killing off HLL and tell me how when looking at the data, then I'll happily agree. But right now HLL is a vastly superior game in every way shape and form except for the vehicle gameplay.
Dude, a lot of times it feels like many HLL content creators use an update to make a "the sky is falling" thumbnail for their newest video in an effort to capture more viewers. As someone with just under 1,000 hours in the game who has been there since 2021, I feel like the fun and captivating gameplay has not changed all that much since the early days. Are there quality of life issues? Absolutely. I still struggle to hurdle over fences at least once every 10 tries. Does Squad 44 have more factions/maps/vehicles/weapons? Absolutely - but, ultimately, in the few hours I get to game, HLL is still my go-to and remains so for the foreseeable future. Videos such as yours likely contribute to the general sense of "of this game is dying" because groupthink. To me, it's the veteran players that make the game fun and the bugs can be lived with - and if paying $11.99 to the developers every now and then in order to ensure they keep the game alive, then that is the price to pay for my enjoyment. Anyway - keep up the vids and content and I hope to run into you on a server one of these days. My 2c.
I appreciate the comment, but I say pretty early on I don't think it's gonna die. Yeah the thumbnail is a bit over the top but that's the point of the whole discussion. While I'm happy to support the devs by buying skins, but the latest one was a pisstake and it's things like this that get people's backs up. You shouldn't just accept it and say well this multimillion company just peddled a joke of a skin and bumped the price up without telling anyone and hiding within a sale. i had fun but with gamepass on xbox, i've been spending a lot of time on diablo 4, battlefield 5. Battlefield 5 especially is a graphical upgrade from hell let loose, with similar mechanics & faster gameplay. also a ton of nice FPS arcade shooters, xdefiant & call of duty.
How about a 25 vs 75 Stalingrad and 25 vs 75 Omaha skirmish game mode? Limit the commander abilities a little, give the defenders more of an engineering supply need, limit the offensive capabilities with classes, spawn support class with no rifle. Omaha? More German garrisons, more German bombing runs and strafing runs. Make the US depend on squad communication and outposts and give them a few more beach waypoints and tanks.
It's like a spawn wave on a garrison. It gets quiet then pops. But optimization and weird map choices do not help. Berlin USSR? Caen Britain? The factions that have been added need love. And the mortain dlc is a really simple fix. Just make it available for all maps. I think the long term goal is for the snow cammo to only be possible on snow maps but the paid dlc that is the most expensive dlc ever made for one map is a f'n joke. Remedy it hard.
Quality of gaming is NOT going into right direction unfortunately. New players welcome: but learn before how to play/behave during a match. (Okay, no proper manual available, only UA-cam videos) Seems that veterans vanish because of bad T17 management. My problem: I play HLL only.
It was a good game but honestly games where you need a lot of people in the community to make it work always end like this.. in this game you have to deal with so many people, and many of them are toxic, you depend 100% of a good team to have a good and fun experience in the game, almost impossible
I’ve been playing more or less since day-one…the game seems fine to me, you don’t need to buy the skins, some of the DLC was OK, some not so, but the game is still fine, seems alive and well and it still delivers. It gets beaten on way too much IMO.
The only good reason that I can come up with, and yes I know it is wishful thinking, as to why they increased the price is that they are trying to get the resources and money to develop the game better. Seems to be T17's downfall right now is they don't have the money or the resources to develop the game properly. Wishful thinking like I said though. I don't know if it is dying persay, as rather, a totally new influx of players coming in and pushing the old ones out. Unfortunately, however, HLL is the only option for a game like this for console players at the moment and it doesn't look like Squad 44 has any plans to launch onto console anytime soon
I don’t think it is but on console there seems to be some issues. I took a few months off from the game and have been playing again the past couple of weeks and the amount of crashes me and my friends have experienced is ridiculous. Was never that bad and the servers are super laggy too
I have 1k hours, level 176, and have been playing for a few years. I got the game before they added Russia, and it seems i can't play at all. Every single match, I lag. I can't even throw my grenades or sprint; even if I am the only player. It's been like that for 2 months now. My internet is fine, and every other game I play runs fine. It's an issue with the Xbox servers, if you can find a full match anyway.
Most new maps suck, most servers still run the same old 5 or so maps on repeat T17 keeps wasting time on skirmish mode which has been completely abandoned by the community, literally no one plays the mode
I think the problem is that the game is just so frustrating to play. New players either start out, die over and over and give up, or they stick around. I can hardly stick around
I must have been one the lucky ones and bought it for like 19 quid years ago 🎉 lets be honest there's only so far you can take a realistic shooter your stuck to the era and if you fuck up a uniform or a gun your cooked as much as i would hate it but xplay could bring the player count up

I've played HLL for years. It shits me that VOIP has bugs, mounting MG is hopeless, pixel hunting is shit, small walls/fences, jumping, climbing... so many simple simple fkn bugs and never even looked into let alone fixed.
Quick fixes: To fix the console and stop the player base leak, sort out the server browser ASAP. To fix PC fix all the bugs. Long term fix: Battle of Cean British, Canadian, French and Anzac forces. Dude the Anzac, Canadian, and French forces alone would bring an insane amount in due to the fact all the other games on the market place neglect them, lets face facts everyone wants to play as themselves. It's clearly not historically accurate game wise, as there wouldn't be any Tiger tanks fighting US forces in Normandy, as they were mainly fighting Russia and the few that were in Normandy were fighting the forces above for Caen. Let's be real everyone's bored of the US narrative of WW2, hollywood pumps a ridiculous amount out, likewise with other games. It's no surprise there are geniune people out there who think US were the main ones in WW2 lmao. Majority don't even realise that the British with operation tizard in 1940 literally transformed the US from 10th military in the world into a freaking powerhouse. US has never done anything successful alone, especially without European help. So it's about time the forces that actually did play a massive role get recognised for it. Other than Battle of Britain, we rarely hear about polish forces. People think France was all about surrendering, even though France, Canada, and Poland were the first to break through Normandy before the British and US. Canada always out in Britains shadow even though they hit just as hard and as much as the British. The war in the east, Hungarian, Romanian and such wouldn't be too much of an ask either, likewise the ones on Russia side like Ukraine. Finnish war would be nice, along with as you say, early days in France. Experimental tanks that are easy to take out, weapons that are less advanced to get players thinking and being more wise with strategy. My issue with Africa content I'm all burned out with fighting in the desert, while its always a nice addition Britain in Normandy or early france would have been so much better. I'd like to see Italy and Greece get some love which sounds like it is, they can keep their US bias they have along with the forces the playerbase actually wants to see enter the battle. There's so much they can do, it's just a case of them actually doing it. Server browser for console is beyond critical. Being put into random teams which for the best part are terrible especially having no mic, is beyond frustrating. I've straight up left it as is. Don't want to commit to PC juat in case it does go to hell.
The game is kinda dying, I never really played HLL since update 15 came out, but the real reason why I never play it that much is because of how stressful it is on console since the other updates when team17 took over. There is still server issues, there still isn’t a server browser, and the worst part is that they are still bringing up these DLCs, which is not helping it at all as it is only wasting more of the devs time on cosmetics rather than fixing the issues that we currently have now. In the HLL map reveal video in 2023, they said that they didn’t want to forget that the game was there and want it to progress the game forward, yet they have clearly shown that they have forgotten about the game’s actual gameplay and why it is loved by many people, they did also moved forward, but only a very, VERY, small step, which is not enough for the game to come back. I already have lost hope for how this game is gonna come back up again and although I’ve been playing since update 13, at least I know that team17 buying Hell Let Loose was a grave mistake.
Really? I can't play xbox at all. The server's are essentially not functional for me and it's like playing on a ps2 with dial up when the game has ran fine for years on my Xbox
They need to do a lot. I love it but all my friends have given up and moved on to different games. Same thing happened with DayZ. Mortars instead of Arty would be a goddamn good first move. No scratch that, a server browser for console. They go and add a laughable cosmetic pack for a map that I never get to play. Not that I would buy cosmetics, but still.
What I've found in many games not just HLL is that these peeps who have played since day 1 have gotten bored of playing, after all there's only so many times you repeat play a game, then they turn on the game bad mouthing it cause they want as many peeps to drop the game.....🤷♂
Gettint a little tired of these videos, HLL is going nowhere, the player base is solid, are the devs letting it down? Probably, could they do better? Sure.. It’s the best WW2 FPS MIL SIM shooter on the market, by far and I’ve only played it a month ( lvl 45) and haven’t had a decent nights sleep since.. MWIII has been forgotten about, heck, I can’t even play it anymore it’s far too fast. There’s a lot of doom and gloom regarding HLL and I genuinely think these UA-camrs need to chill and enjoy the game like the rest of us.

I hate the game when NO ONE defends and thinks kills do matter so they need to make a team death match with no commander abilities and tanks. just all infantry and recon classes. 100 players 50v50 one of teams have to get 100 kills
It could be one of the best shooters ever made, but it never followed through on the promise. They should just open it up to the modding community now and let the community make the game what it should be
the lack of competence on a fix for crashing will be the downfall of hll on console. I play comp hll on console and im beyond fed up with all the nonsense we have to deal with on xb. Constant crashing, game breaking menu bugs. It’s always something that completely ruins the experience.

every time I played HLL after the brit update its yelling, yapping, no mics or just straight up toxic behavior. Sure some matches are good but nobody gets that worked up in Squad 44, except tryhards that get upset over not enough FOBs but that goes for HLL as well so. The only thing that HLL has for me is the soviet front, if squad 44 gets to the soviets as well oh boy
How to fix and repopulate hell let loose in 5 minutes: announce a 2 year plan to release the Pacific, reduce the game price back to $30, set a public fundraising goal for revenue from hell let loose skins, game purchases and donations to fund the project. Set incremental goals for intermittent content. Just be public with the costs. Reasonable people understand this game is probably a nightmare code mess engine and it would cost almost as much to start over as the Pacific costs to make as is.
Dude, I fucking hate HLL since Day One, never really enjoyed the game. For me, is a game that feels lost. They want to be a Tactical and Immersive Shooter but at the same time you have infinite stamina and a perfect stable aim.
I got good at it at one point and played it religiously. and now I somehow got worse with experience but the game is awful to be honest. I’m on console and good luck finding full lobbies. It hasn’t been fun in awhile. The bugs and poor frame rates and rubberbanding and crashing is getting too much. Feels ruined to me

I dont usualy coment and this stuff is starting to get on my nerves a little bit. People need to understand that HLL and SQ44 are 2 different games and you cant realy compare them as they have 2 very different playstyles and in my opinion are not even worth comparing. There is no competitor to HLL atm and the number of clans and community made competitions atm in HLL is gona keep it going for some time. And yes there is still some bugs, performance issues from time to time and the last few updates are just bad but still this is a great game and there is simply nothing like it atm, And SQ44 is a great game but i didnt have a great time, tried few different servers and same stuff happens each game, spawn in , go push, kill few enemies, get tkd by a friendnly because they dont know how enemy looks, repeat.

Add Italian faction and maps set in Italy. This could develop the British faction and add a new faction with interesting weapons

Honestly, I don't have a problem with the price of the game. I bought it for £49.99 back in February and have loved it - they just need to give the updates that people are after.
Definitely want to see more British maps. I bought the red devil's skin, it looks so cool when there is a few of you with that skin in your squad. Trouble is I hardly ever get to play that one and only map. I'd love to see maps of Tobruk, Dunkirk, Arnhem and Pegasus Bridge. At least then there would be more maps with British Paras

It’s appreciated to have a middle of the road approach. T17 have been far from perfect but they haven’t been the plague either. The community has been justified in many different things but isn’t right all of time either.
I don’t think HLL is dying but it’s in a precarious state, and could go either way in the next 6 or 12 months. With console server browsers coming shortly, it could help the game overall even if it doesn’t do a lot to the PC. Either way, we hope that T17 can do well in growing the game and making it better. In terms of comparisons to S44, we should hope that both games are healthy for competition sake. In theory it helps to drive innovation and good changes. Just my thoughts

The fact they quietly increased the price to now 50$ on steam is absolutely disgusting with the state the game is in, they are milking the playerbase for all their money they can, only to then give half assed updates and never fulfilled promises for what is to come, and at this point, im never going to go back, because i have extreme doubts the game will get any better than it is right now.

Sadly in my opinion yes. A lot of the games I get in the morning from 6:00 to 11:00 usually only have 67 players each map and from 6:45 to 12:00 the game is also averaging around 60 players sucks to see one of my favorite games dying

I only play on 2 or 3 servers, but they're always busy and I have to queue to join. Never see less than the full 100 on the server.

This game has so much potential even still, unfortunately we have roadmaps full of at least 10-12 things a year, and we maybe get 3 a year at best. I feel like they need to add things like grenadier/mortor squads etc to change the game up to keep it fresh, imo

I feel like adding more than 1 map per update would be a nice change as long as they can manage it, as well as adding new vehicles and armor. Make half tracks troop transport, make them take two hits instead of one, could be great for getting troops into a hard point when combined with tanks. And everything else you mentioned is great too. Make the gameplay more dynamic and add new maps.
We are all just piggies eating slop, amusing ourselves to death.
Arnhem, Ranville and Blackcock would be great maps for the Brits. Also Monte Cassino.
So about people being unhappy even when they do a good update. Prime example is 15.1 aka the last update as of writing this. They added some night variations to US maps, opened some streets and houses in carentan, overall a nice x.1 update. The problem is that with the update came new weird and some of them unbelievable (the bridge rail bug) bugs. From my memory after the British release i dont remember a single update that didnt bring some new bug or didnt hit the performance even more than it already is.

What i prefer about S44 is tanking. It's much better and more immersive. An example: Take a fight with a P4 against a Sherman Easy8 is possible without knowing the result. Just because you have a heavy tank doesn't mean you win a fight instantly against a medium. You need to know where to hit the Tank (ammorack, engine, fuel etc.). THIS makes every destroyed enemy tank feel like you won the whole battle.

I hope they can start doing right by this game. I noticed they just released a new game and maybe that was taking up some of T17's time to work on HLL. Most of the games they are a part of are not like HHL at all. Pixel or cartoon style games is what they have made so far and I feel like HHL is too far over their heads. Half of the issue is players not using mics so I cant knock T17 too much.
And yet I’m still waiting in player ques for west coast servers 😂
Maybe not dying. But Squad44 / Post Scriptum is the better title, it always was imho in terms of maturity, immersion, and tactical depth, and seemingly, the new devs and the growing player base of that game have understood. At least worth a good look.

i don't know where the hate comes from to be honest, that said i paid £35 for it on xbox and then £26.00(on sale) for PC.
I cancelled my Battlefield 2042 preorder of £70, and got Hell Let Loose and got a brilliant game. Love WW2 games, and it has great mechanics to it. I'm old school, and i very rarely buy additions to games, maybe a map pack or something. I do find it funny how Devs mess up with cosmetics, given there are plenty of people out there that are willing to give them money for uniforms.
Well, im brand new, so i hope this game isn't dying. I just found it a couple of days ago and am hooked.
Im not programmer either but as player simpliest thing for me would be slowly adding content so they keep players hooked up and fixing issues with current bugs and when they will have maybe like 40% or 50% bugs fixed they can add one big update with some new uniforms or new mod and it would be for reasonable price. I understand they want to make money but adding only uniforms would only ends up to killing the game, this is not fortnite or COD.
Every month we get some video like this, every day on the HLL discord there's someone saying go to Squad 44.
The reality is this:
Squad 44 is a mediocre game and only caters to an extreme player base, the base gameplay is boring for the majority of players, it doesn't encourage casual players to enter the game. Until the dev team for that game encourages faster movement, no stamina fatigue, and gets graphical improvements the majority of HLL casual players aren't going to go anywhere near it.
HLL player numbers are only available on PC, in the last 30 days, the average number of players for HLL was 4,873.3. Squad 44's is 634.8.
Now if someone can tell me that Squad 44 is killing off HLL and tell me how when looking at the data, then I'll happily agree. But right now HLL is a vastly superior game in every way shape and form except for the vehicle gameplay.
Dude, a lot of times it feels like many HLL content creators use an update to make a "the sky is falling" thumbnail for their newest video in an effort to capture more viewers. As someone with just under 1,000 hours in the game who has been there since 2021, I feel like the fun and captivating gameplay has not changed all that much since the early days. Are there quality of life issues? Absolutely. I still struggle to hurdle over fences at least once every 10 tries. Does Squad 44 have more factions/maps/vehicles/weapons? Absolutely - but, ultimately, in the few hours I get to game, HLL is still my go-to and remains so for the foreseeable future. Videos such as yours likely contribute to the general sense of "of this game is dying" because groupthink. To me, it's the veteran players that make the game fun and the bugs can be lived with - and if paying $11.99 to the developers every now and then in order to ensure they keep the game alive, then that is the price to pay for my enjoyment.
Anyway - keep up the vids and content and I hope to run into you on a server one of these days. My 2c.
I appreciate the comment, but I say pretty early on I don't think it's gonna die. Yeah the thumbnail is a bit over the top but that's the point of the whole discussion.
While I'm happy to support the devs by buying skins, but the latest one was a pisstake and it's things like this that get people's backs up.
You shouldn't just accept it and say well this multimillion company just peddled a joke of a skin and bumped the price up without telling anyone and hiding within a sale.

i had fun but with gamepass on xbox, i've been spending a lot of time on diablo 4, battlefield 5. Battlefield 5 especially is a graphical upgrade from hell let loose, with similar mechanics & faster gameplay.
also a ton of nice FPS arcade shooters, xdefiant & call of duty.
How about a 25 vs 75 Stalingrad and 25 vs 75 Omaha skirmish game mode? Limit the commander abilities a little, give the defenders more of an engineering supply need, limit the offensive capabilities with classes, spawn support class with no rifle.
Omaha? More German garrisons, more German bombing runs and strafing runs. Make the US depend on squad communication and outposts and give them a few more beach waypoints and tanks.
It's like a spawn wave on a garrison. It gets quiet then pops. But optimization and weird map choices do not help. Berlin USSR? Caen Britain? The factions that have been added need love. And the mortain dlc is a really simple fix. Just make it available for all maps. I think the long term goal is for the snow cammo to only be possible on snow maps but the paid dlc that is the most expensive dlc ever made for one map is a f'n joke. Remedy it hard.
Quality of gaming is NOT going into right direction unfortunately.

My problem: I play HLL only.
It was a good game but honestly games where you need a lot of people in the community to make it work always end like this.. in this game you have to deal with so many people, and many of them are toxic, you depend 100% of a good team to have a good and fun experience in the game, almost impossible
I’ve been playing more or less since day-one…the game seems fine to me, you don’t need to buy the skins, some of the DLC was OK, some not so, but the game is still fine, seems alive and well and it still delivers. It gets beaten on way too much IMO.

The only good reason that I can come up with, and yes I know it is wishful thinking, as to why they increased the price is that they are trying to get the resources and money to develop the game better.
Seems to be T17's downfall right now is they don't have the money or the resources to develop the game properly. Wishful thinking like I said though. I don't know if it is dying persay, as rather, a totally new influx of players coming in and pushing the old ones out.
Unfortunately, however, HLL is the only option for a game like this for console players at the moment and it doesn't look like Squad 44 has any plans to launch onto console anytime soon
I don’t think it is but on console there seems to be some issues. I took a few months off from the game and have been playing again the past couple of weeks and the amount of crashes me and my friends have experienced is ridiculous. Was never that bad and the servers are super laggy too

The grind was to slow for me to begin with, and im a decent player.
I have 1k hours, level 176, and have been playing for a few years. I got the game before they added Russia, and it seems i can't play at all. Every single match, I lag.
I can't even throw my grenades or sprint; even if I am the only player. It's been like that for 2 months now.
My internet is fine, and every other game I play runs fine. It's an issue with the Xbox servers, if you can find a full match anyway.

I am level 178 and well over a thousand hours on HLL. After they put it on Xbox Game Pass it became toxic. Haven't played the game in months.
I'm getting fatigued of it, I really want to play Squad 44 but the player count is still really low so I'm stuck here

I've played HLL for years. It shits me that VOIP has bugs, mounting MG is hopeless, pixel hunting is shit, small walls/fences, jumping, climbing... so many simple simple fkn bugs and never even looked into let alone fixed.

Quick fixes: To fix the console and stop the player base leak, sort out the server browser ASAP.
To fix PC fix all the bugs.
Long term fix: Battle of Cean British, Canadian, French and Anzac forces. Dude the Anzac, Canadian, and French forces alone would bring an insane amount in due to the fact all the other games on the market place neglect them, lets face facts everyone wants to play as themselves.
It's clearly not historically accurate game wise, as there wouldn't be any Tiger tanks fighting US forces in Normandy, as they were mainly fighting Russia and the few that were in Normandy were fighting the forces above for Caen.
Let's be real everyone's bored of the US narrative of WW2, hollywood pumps a ridiculous amount out, likewise with other games. It's no surprise there are geniune people out there who think US were the main ones in WW2 lmao. Majority don't even realise that the British with operation tizard in 1940 literally transformed the US from 10th military in the world into a freaking powerhouse.
US has never done anything successful alone, especially without European help. So it's about time the forces that actually did play a massive role get recognised for it. Other than Battle of Britain, we rarely hear about polish forces. People think France was all about surrendering, even though France, Canada, and Poland were the first to break through Normandy before the British and US. Canada always out in Britains shadow even though they hit just as hard and as much as the British.
The war in the east, Hungarian, Romanian and such wouldn't be too much of an ask either, likewise the ones on Russia side like Ukraine.
Finnish war would be nice, along with as you say, early days in France. Experimental tanks that are easy to take out, weapons that are less advanced to get players thinking and being more wise with strategy.
My issue with Africa content I'm all burned out with fighting in the desert, while its always a nice addition Britain in Normandy or early france would have been so much better. I'd like to see Italy and Greece get some love which sounds like it is, they can keep their US bias they have along with the forces the playerbase actually wants to see enter the battle.
There's so much they can do, it's just a case of them actually doing it. Server browser for console is beyond critical. Being put into random teams which for the best part are terrible especially having no mic, is beyond frustrating. I've straight up left it as is. Don't want to commit to PC juat in case it does go to hell.

The game is kinda dying, I never really played HLL since update 15 came out, but the real reason why I never play it that much is because of how stressful it is on console since the other updates when team17 took over. There is still server issues, there still isn’t a server browser, and the worst part is that they are still bringing up these DLCs, which is not helping it at all as it is only wasting more of the devs time on cosmetics rather than fixing the issues that we currently have now.
In the HLL map reveal video in 2023, they said that they didn’t want to forget that the game was there and want it to progress the game forward, yet they have clearly shown that they have forgotten about the game’s actual gameplay and why it is loved by many people, they did also moved forward, but only a very, VERY, small step, which is not enough for the game to come back. I already have lost hope for how this game is gonna come back up again and although I’ve been playing since update 13, at least I know that team17 buying Hell Let Loose was a grave mistake.

Really? I can't play xbox at all. The server's are essentially not functional for me and it's like playing on a ps2 with dial up when the game has ran fine for years on my Xbox
They need to do a lot. I love it but all my friends have given up and moved on to different games. Same thing happened with DayZ. Mortars instead of Arty would be a goddamn good first move. No scratch that, a server browser for console. They go and add a laughable cosmetic pack for a map that I never get to play. Not that I would buy cosmetics, but still.
What I've found in many games not just HLL is that these peeps who have played since day 1 have gotten bored of playing, after all there's only so many times you repeat play a game, then they turn on the game bad mouthing it cause they want as many peeps to drop the game.....🤷♂
Gettint a little tired of these videos, HLL is going nowhere, the player base is solid, are the devs letting it down? Probably, could they do better? Sure.. It’s the best WW2 FPS MIL SIM shooter on the market, by far and I’ve only played it a month ( lvl 45) and haven’t had a decent nights sleep since.. MWIII has been forgotten about, heck, I can’t even play it anymore it’s far too fast.
There’s a lot of doom and gloom regarding HLL and I genuinely think these UA-camrs need to chill and enjoy the game like the rest of us.

I hate the game when NO ONE defends and thinks kills do matter so they need to make a team death match with no commander abilities and tanks. just all infantry and recon classes. 100 players 50v50 one of teams have to get 100 kills

It could be one of the best shooters ever made, but it never followed through on the promise. They should just open it up to the modding community now and let the community make the game what it should be

the lack of competence on a fix for crashing will be the downfall of hll on console. I play comp hll on console and im beyond fed up with all the nonsense we have to deal with on xb. Constant crashing, game breaking menu bugs. It’s always something that completely ruins the experience.

every time I played HLL after the brit update its yelling, yapping, no mics or just straight up toxic behavior. Sure some matches are good but nobody gets that worked up in Squad 44, except tryhards that get upset over not enough FOBs but that goes for HLL as well so.

How to fix and repopulate hell let loose in 5 minutes: announce a 2 year plan to release the Pacific, reduce the game price back to $30, set a public fundraising goal for revenue from hell let loose skins, game purchases and donations to fund the project. Set incremental goals for intermittent content.
Just be public with the costs.
Reasonable people understand this game is probably a nightmare code mess engine and it would cost almost as much to start over as the Pacific costs to make as is.
Dude, I fucking hate HLL since Day One, never really enjoyed the game. For me, is a game that feels lost. They want to be a Tactical and Immersive Shooter but at the same time you have infinite stamina and a perfect stable aim.
The game is definitely trying to be it's own thing, that's why they shyed away from those mechanics

I got good at it at one point and played it religiously. and now I somehow got worse with experience but the game is awful to be honest. I’m on console and good luck finding full lobbies. It hasn’t been fun in awhile. The bugs and poor frame rates and rubberbanding and crashing is getting too much. Feels ruined to me

People need to understand that HLL and SQ44 are 2 different games and you cant realy compare them as they have 2 very different playstyles and in my opinion are not even worth comparing.
There is no competitor to HLL atm and the number of clans and community made competitions atm in HLL is gona keep it going for some time.
And yes there is still some bugs, performance issues from time to time and the last few updates are just bad but still this is a great game and there is simply nothing like it atm,
And SQ44 is a great game but i didnt have a great time, tried few different servers and same stuff happens each game, spawn in , go push, kill few enemies, get tkd by a friendnly because they dont know how enemy looks, repeat.
