Sometimes I think about our role in the preservation of these objects. While they are mostly outdated tools and there are more modern versions that may be more useful as far as design goes. But we are ushering them towards the future. We have to hope that some young people after us will revere them as antiques that function, it’s probably more likely that they will be seen as a curiosity or decoration. I often think about what will probably happen once I pass on. That people will sweep into my former home and just toss all my stuff into trash bins and skips and it’ll be recycled as steel scrap. But there may be some people who see some of the items as cool looking and they will grab them for their own enjoyment.
I keep all my similar style wrenches in a protected place away from my regularly user tools to try and keep them as nice as I have them. Hopefully they can be passed down to any kids I may have in the future.
Thanks Nash, interesting idea, no ownership marks to assist in this theory, perhaps suggests they were both for home/workshop use as opposed to by a tradesperson ?
I never knew there was a left-handed version very interesting. Thanks for sharing buddy

You could be right, both sets have seen very little use over the years and will see even less work now 😁
Thanks for watching.
