I tried a connection by passing the load directly tru the timer,b4 watching ur video,i got another timer and ised same contactor but the timer got birnt again using ur video, does it mean i have to change both t he contactor and the timer?
Sorry about that. Please check your contactor Coil and make sure it not short circuited. Otherwise, if you really followed the steps in my video, you should have everything working perfectly. Note again that the output from the timer is "only" supposed to energize the contactor coil. You may also consider the quality and Ampere rating of your timer.
Nice video please i have question sir Is there any continuity between A1/A2 with the L1,L2 and L3 The purpose of this question is can i used different phase to supply the coil and the line of the contactor Like Red phase for A1 and Blue phase for L1 ... Thank you in Advance
No please. There's no link between A1/A2 and any of the lines. A 220V coil needs live and neutral to get energized. If the coil is rated 415, you need two lines to get it energized either L1 and L2, L1 and L3, or L2 and L3
@@obloni_ElectricalSir please I want to ask a further question. You said a 220v coil needs a live and neutral to get energized what of 415V coil contactor
Hi. Pls help me. I recently wired the star delta motor accordingly, but when I switched on the control circuit, it started with high speed on the star contactor and it slowed down when it changed to delta contactor.
Please there's single-phase (two wires) , three-phase (four wires) and Three-phase (three wires). In my jurisdiction 240V is single-phase. that's live and neutral. In case you are using three-phase contactor coil, then you'll use two lines instead. Please let me know if I have answered you. Thanks
Yes, so you can use the timer to switch ON or OFF electrical load automatically, depending on how you set it to operate. the contactor comes in when you need to connect heavy loads that cannot be connected directly to the timer. The contactor is a magnetic switch which closes and opens a pair of contacts when electricity is supplied to it's coil. please let me know if I have answered your question
@@obloni_Electrical Thank you Engr. I think that can be installed on the meter before supplying load to the Distribution Board. Hope it will work perfectly
@@rajiabdulrahman5646 sure! So the Ampere rating of the contactor should be more, or at least not less than the Ampere rating of the Distribution board
You are a wonderful teacher sir, I really like your teachings
Thanks boss.
I'm here again. Thanks for sharing it with us.
Great job sir
Can you share how to connect using 400 vs or three phase sir on delay time

Please double-check you might have done it the other way round

What about if the timer is not bring light
With 240v two phase there is no neutral? Correct?
