Hylia Yggdrasil in dissidia 012, she doesn't even fight as her actual self. if I remember correctly, she only fights with half of her strength (her doll thing is a clone of her I think?) and holds her own against the rest of the characters.
She were well-known on both sides and Cosmos would probably not suffer as many defeat if she was inclined to continue fighting on her side than trying to escape the war.
I do hope this won't be a flame wars with kefka vs sephiroth... or who the strongest villain in a series because it's... pointless. She's awfully bossy, can sometimes sounds arrogant, and her way of talking can sometimes be condescending and annoying, but somehow she has the ability to back up each and everything she said. TheRunawayGirl later on you are pitted against shantoto again. Your stronger, have better monsters and have probably a fair amount more hp to survive her attacks. She still beats you. Mechanically the games way of telling you that shantoto is not a character to be messed with. She pretty much sets the tone with her first battle, and then repeats it from there. First battle you probably get 1-2 commands in. Shantoto gets turn. Your first taste of high level black magic is a single blast from shantoto' arsenal. Several thousand damage later, you realise you probably couldn't win that fight if you tried.

As someone who mained BLM in ffxi it didnt take long for Shantotto to turn me into a fan boy casting flood 2 from my mouth the moments she began to get fiesty. I see alot of memorable feedback related to the game and I'd like to add some extra trivia related to her in the ffxi canon. Firstly she's arguably vanadiels multi magic specialist (not just black magic). Though she doesn't practice Blue magic , and summoning magic . She regrets having never been married (a kind of scary potential house wife not surprised), During the add onn expansion A Shantotto Ascension she returns from an alternate demension iirc and finds that the other dimensional Shantottos turn all of the worlds denizens (your character included) into replicas of both the evil and good shantotto so they can have a war with each other to prove which is stronger. She turns into a giant shantotto and proceeds to defeat them godzilla style, and saves the world. It is kind of a mystery that she was exiled from windurst during the beastmen war for a crime. I'm not sure if the reason why was ever revealed but it's probably believable, she had a pet dog that accidentally drank a shrinking potion. i wonder how accidental it was, tbh. And during an expansion over seas in Aht Urgan you're forced to escort her on a mission which leads to a fight with a chimera. If the player chose to let shantotto start the fight she'd agro the boss and start trading t4 nukes with funny rhymes like "It might come as quite a shock the harm done from a simple rock" if her health gets low, though, she stops rhymning and simply says "that's enough..." then proceeds to start spamming t1 nukes that deal like 5x as much damage. Needless to say she was freaking scary. Sorry if this is tl;dr.
You're cool, bro. I'm a shameless Shantotto fan boy. As has been said, she's an utterly shameless sociopath who's goals only temporarily align with yours, and she doesn't do much to hide it. She could literally rule the world with a tiny iron fist, if she so wanted, but she probably sees that as entirely too much work. I adore that character, and I adore how Squenx has listened to the fans and put her in as much media as they have.
I love here as a character but I would not describe here as cute. Not becuse she can be deadly. A character can be cute and deadly fore example Reg from Made in Abyss. Seriously I was surprised how good he is at killing people when his groupe had to deal with Bondrewed and his man. But Shantotto does not come of as cute to me.
Not all of them. About a third of them rhyme, most of the rest have other verbal tics, and some talk normally. It doesn't help that most of them have repetitive names (Churano-Shurano, Koru-Moru, Apururu) and this extends to places too (Horutoto Ruins, Sarutabaruta, Lake Tepokalipuka).
Adding one more piece of trivia. Not many people notice this but all male tarutarus have hyphenated names with matching syllables on each respective end with one or two exceptions. Female tarutarus also had the final two syllables matching but their names were never hyphenated. Eg; Shantotto, Kayeel-Payeel, Kupipi, Robel-Akbel.
Lann and Reynn fight literal deity-tier beings in this game (Brandelis, Omega God, Odin, Bahamut, and so-forty) but THIS bitch is the one opponent they can never truly beat. Does anyone else find this a little absurd?

She is considered to be one of the most powerful mages in the Final Fantasy Universe, known to teleport between dimensions and has ended long conflicts without breaking a sweat, In fact in FFXI and Dissidia if you fight her and beat her, the Shantotto you beat was only a clone doll pretending to be her, and if she beats you it was the real one, meaning only weak copies are capable of losing while the real Shantotto always wins. She usually misses conflicts because she is too busy studying the ultimate spell. Even Kefka commented that she has the ability to destroy the world.
Yeah, I know. She is and always has been an absurdly powerful mage since the start, but that's honestly part of the problem for me. By all rights, with the way she's portrayed, Shantotto could literally solve every problem but doesn't simply because she's not interested. Why not just send HER to break the cycle in Dissidia rather than fighting a war thirteen times over? Why not just have her beat Brandelis and the Cogna? She's beatable in the underwater temple, though I can't find any case where this fight has been. So Shantotto isn't an auto-lose fight.
