- Today me and Dom install my BHR resonated mid pipe due to the R3 getting a CEL for a failing catalytic converter and, afterwords, do a couple light pulls to see how it sounds.
Everything shown in the video is direct bolt on and requires no modification to install.

Out of all the videos I missed on resonated exhaust systems on UA-cam I don’t know why I kept skipping over this video it was most certainly one of the better sounding videos I have watched in a while

My 09 R3 like yours caught fire. Coils went bad and the Cat converter got clogged and caught the surrounding insulation/shielding on fire from the heat. Fortunately was put out before it was engulfed. Replaced the coils and spark plugs and got it running again, but I got a CEL now. I think it’s the O2 sensor. It’s melted where it connects lol. Gonna get that bhr midpipe as well since I’m assuming it’s all fucked.

Car was totaled previously before buying, rear was destroyed, rebuilt and s1 stuff put on instead (I have no plans to change it in the future)
@@NateRist might be buying a s2 with wrecked rear, any issues you found when doing that or was it a direct fit ?
@@jarlchicknugs5750 everything seems to line up fine. I believe a few extra holes need to be drilled for the S1 lights, but I'm not 100% sure it's necessary. One issue I do have is the side of my car that still original series 2 tends to leak inside of the lens, but that may just be a bad gasket and I haven't really tried to address it much

Does a s1 dual resonated midpipe fit a s2 r3?. I have a r3 and can only find s1 midpipes

I hate when folks take off the wheels of the R3. Makes it look ugly and stupid af
eventually I'll get the r3 wheels repaired and likely use them as winter wheels
