I lived here, in the early 90s, when Bhakthipada was under investigation for conspiring to murder. I have good memories with Sri Radhanatha Swami, Maliti Devi Dadi, Nityo Swami... You didn't mention the murders that took place on the commune and the underlying secrets I also lived in the all girls ashram in Ohio... I have so many stories... You wouldn't imagine from the 90s
Yes I’ve heard about the wrongdoings of Kirtanananda from my many off camera visits. A real blemish on the reputation of the community. Luckily it seems like the past has been fading away as New Vrindaban has been accepted once again into the movement and contributes good for the ISKCON world as it grows
As a matter of fact, I made several more visits to New Vrindaban after greatly enjoying what insights I received the first time. Even more, I began to read such books as “Chant and Be Happy” and “The Science of Self-Realization” and became much more educated and familiarized with the ISKCON movement and Prabhupad’s teachings. I still have my own set of japa beads to this day.
@@TheCoverageProject you are very fortunate. I am so thankful for your posting of this and the other video on new vrindavan. Thank you prabhu 🌹🙏🏼 May srimati Radhika bless you with loving devotion May sri Narasimha protect your heart mind and the ground you walk on. Hare Krishna 🦚❤️
My mother took me there as a child. I don't remember much except these really good sweet cookie balls. They had sesame seeds. I'll be returning real soon
Interesting, I’ve been told from devotees that the peacocks sense a presence of peace, almost as if there’s a spiritual level of protection, within this sacred place
Now that’s a bold statement to describe a whole group of people you’ve never met. It’s been long since the 80s. I’ve stopped by several times more since this video, and I must disagree with you. Also a bit tragically ironic for any of us to believe we’re better than a well-read community with structure and purpose, who appear relatively much happier than the rest of us in society.
@@urbandiscount strange cuz I know of a relative of mine whose family member tried to get out but the diabolical members prevented him. In the end a whole lot of his relatives just came, walked right in, and took him but fought those who didn't want him to leave!

Commune, huh? That means if you join and later want to leave those idiots will prevent you from leaving!

That's not at all how it works, and if prabhu had asked a few people, he would have known.
