Hi everyone! I'm an American from the Northeast (New England). I want to create a watering hole for people who want to discuss, learn and teach about history through UA-cam videos which you guys recommend to me through the comment section or over on Discord. Let's be respectful but, just as importantly, not be afraid to question any and everything about historical records in order to give us the most accurate representation of the history of our species and of our planet!

Age range is 9 to 14, and every country who competes sends a song in their native language. Ireland sends their entries in Irish instead of English.
Just a little addition, the song has to be 60% in native language. Ireland and Malta could both be singing in their native language, but since English does count to their native languages, Malta rather chooses to sing in that, Ireland stays true and sings in Irish.

Poland 2018, Poland 2019 and Armenia 2021 are by far my favorite entries, they stand out and they stood out amongst the competition from their years
The 2006 winners represented Russia on Eurovision in 2014.
The 2015 winner represented Malta on Eurovision 2021 (and had also been selected to represent the country for the cancelled 2020 edition).
One girl from the 2011 winner group represented Georgia this year.
The show is generally made for kids to watch with their families, so the choreo is important for keeping their attention haha. For a while there was a rule that the songs also had to be written by kids in the same age range. Fun fact young kids don't do this well, so many of the old songs are not very well done in comparison to modern entries written by music professionals.
Valentina the winner of 2020 will always be my favourite winning with 88 points from the judges and 112 points from the public her song is so positive and fresh and that's what everyone needed during the covid and Destiny from Malta was also the one who represented Malta in Eurovision 2021 with her song Je me casse

Actually Viki Gabor and Valentina are in a very similar age. Viki was 12 and Valentina was 11

I had no idea Viki was so young then, that's crazy. She looks at least 16...when I was 12 I did not look like that or have that confidence lol
This video as I think you might notice was done in reverse order so from 2022 down to 2003(2003 being my favorite winner, they do a great job, but some of them are more to my taste than others.) I understand if some people just want to focus on the voice and singing of the singer, and might not like too much dancing and flashy stage production, because it might seem like it can take away the focus of the actual song, and sometimes I agree, that some songs/performers don't need much around them to shine/that sometimes less is more, but also there can be a good mix of both.(no matter if it's regular or Junior Eurovision)
Junior Eurovision is age 9-14 and the big contest is 16+ (poor 15 year olds)

Nothing will top Dino Jelusic (the first winner). He was a coach in Croatian The Voice, he is now a part of the band Whitesnake which you definitely heard of and his winning song from 2003 Junior ESC is still listened to by Croatians and played in clubs and on radio pretty often. People still love that song despite it being just a junior eurovision song and a little boy singing it.
