Why LG OLEDs have this bluish/greenish tint on their white balance and Samsung QD OLED panels have this redish/pinkish tint? Do all TVs that use LG WOLED panels have this bluish tint? I have Sony A80K and I don't notice that blue tint at all. Is it just an LG thing or all TVs using LG panel?
@zepher1502. Hey thank you for the comment and checking out the video. I think it has to possibly do with both the coating on the actual tv screen and the way the white balance looks through the tv. Plus the camera will make it look more obvious then it does in person.

I actually sold my S90C and went back to my CX because the raised blacks on QD Oled were too noticeable to me regardless of my viewing environment. Is it just in filmmaker mode that the G4 looks raised or is it a system-wide algorithmic issue? Thanks.
@@Jodez23 Not even. Any ambient light in the room, no matter how little there was, was enough to make the black levels noticeably raised and more of a grayish color than true Oled black. Even in a completely dark room, the light emanating off of the screen would lift the black levels a bit, killing the contrast I’d become accustomed to. That said, maybe my eyes are just super sensitive to this and most people would not notice a difference jumping from Woled to QD Oled like I did.
bro can you compare smooth gradation on the 3 from what I am hearing G4 has the overall best processing but loses in smooth gradation to the qd-oled sets is it due to processing flaw or hardware limitation of w-oled.
Bro...You have the A95L at fucking "sharpness 4"...Thats totally the wrong setting. Of course you lose "3D pop" when you use totally botched settings. Are you doing this on purpose? Its factory calibrated to sharpness 50 (Which is the native sharpness. No processing applied) and you use it at 4!!! FOUR!
@Cenkolino. Hey thank you for the comment and checking out the video. Means allot. With all due respect. You can keep sharpness down and it is recommended to keep sharpness down based off of spears and munsils directions and that's what I would typically go by. I've seen anywhere between 0 to 15 tops depending on the tv and/or content your either gaming or watching on. Yes I see some saying that 50 is the way to go but I'm personally not into that. You can see artifacts for sure. You can help that with rc but it's just easier to turn rc off and sharpness off and keep sharpness down and it looks more natural without over sharpening. That's good enough for me personally.
With the limitation that I'm watching these type of videos on my Sony LCD TV, when I see QD OLEDs compared to the LG G4 I'm always liking the G4 picture better, even though I'm always reading on forums how QD OLEDs blow WOLEDs away.
If you keep all special features of their respective brand than what is the comparison between them Then you are just comparing panels not image processing You have to utilize all special features of their respective brand to get their full potential

There still is the big Summer update that will fix and update the A95L to the 2024 TV lineup (that should fix these issues for some users).
I use professional mode , and have tried to lower the brightness settings, it doesn’t happen all the time as it depends on what type of movie I’m watching. I noticed it the most when watching Godzilla X kingkong the new empire it seemed to happen a lot during this movie.
Thank you for your comparisons with the G4 and the A95L ! I'm still uncertain which one to buy. With the QD Oled it seems like the Sony is marginally better than the G4 because of the better HDR. I don't really have the possibility to compare the two tv's like you can do, so just if you had to decide for HDR Gaming and HDR content, would you still choose the Sony A95L ? Like imagine you only own the Sony, would you miss the image from the LG or visa verde ? Not every thing we notice in a comparison has to matter in the end but i think image processing is important, because as better as the image looks the more immersive gets your experience with the content.
I'd pick the G4 if you want a large 83" size, but as for 77 and below it's really a Toss up imo, depending if you are more of a TV/movie watcher or Gamer. The G4 beats A95L in Gaming as it stays bright and doesn't gradually dim down, meanwhile the A95L will give you that slightly more cinematic experience in movies and probably better upscaling for older low bit content.
@@TheAntifluencer There lies the struggle, I will use it mostly for both Gaming and watching movies low bit and 4k hdr…I will probably get 65“ size. I haven’t seen a QD Oled yet and cant really imagine the difference in color and processing in general. Do you have seen one in person ?
Wulfen2. Hey thank you for the comment and checking out the video. I have pit settings as high as 30 with sharpness on the A95L. Even then I was nit a fan on how halos started looking nocicable around lines. Personally for me. I typically keep rc on either Auto or a lower setting to get the sharpness that I personally like for myself. I'm not a big fan of high sharpness settings specifically in 4k hdr movies. Although in game mode I do like to turn it up higher. Just a personal opinion. Thank you again and I truly hope to see you more often in the comments section. Means allot.
@@consumerreview2k It is! It absolutely is. Sony uses the default 50 setting when the TV is calibrated. Its the panels native setting. More people seem to be going with the g4. The qd-oleds don’t have longevity and not as clean of a picture. Is it going to look good in 3 years when 25% of the brightness is lost?
QD-Oled color this, QD-Oled color that, but if you look at the comparison, the WOLED beats both in this regard :)) not to mention the better details and brightness of the G4. The S90D can't even display the lights on that buggy correctly. They are pink'ish which might be only on camera. Yes, on paper the QD-Oled should be better color vise, but based on what I'm seeing, it's not.
This is wrong,I don’t want to be rude or anything but this is not a real tech channel or a true fact channel by any stretch,I hate the fact people think LG and Samsung are premium when they are budget low quality disguised as “premium” sets,What premium sets are is Panasonic and Sony,Both The best brands for accuracy,Colour grading,Detailed picture highlights and AI Upscaling,Samsung and LG don’t even touch them,They overrate their TVs and lower prices for the masses lowering their quality every time,They couldn’t lace Panasonics or Sonys professional department if they tried.

The professional calibrators gave these 3 TVs top billings in their awards. Sony A95L 1st, Samsung S95D then the LG G4. All those TVs are truly outstanding.
You off your meds? The Sony A95l is good but overpriced, especially when you consider they are only using a second gen panel. Did they ever update that with firmware to fix game mode?
i am going for a95l only for quad. otherwise, g4 is a no brainer choice for me. anyway, thanks for the comparison man. as far as i know, you are the only UA-camr who shows such an awesome comparison of all kinds of scenes in a movie. i will never be able to put these expensive TVs side by side and compare. a small request: will you please compare topgun maverick 4k uhd bluray DV in both a95l and g4? it would be great if you do that!!
Mad love and support for you!!!!
Would you get better better picture quality with Apple TV 4K or with TV apps. I have the Sony A95L??
Probably tv apps. For qd-oled I would go with the s95d, it has a better panel than Sony. For that one you do want an external player that can clean up the image better because it doesn’t have as good processing. Probably the shield though or something better than Apple TV.
@@consumerreview2k So a G3 or G4 would have similar or same white balance hue like the sony A80K I have? In person do ya notice blue tint on LG or any sony WOLED panel? Do ya think LG is more cooler in tones than sony?
I planning on buying LG G3, but if LG has this blue tint then it could be a deal breaker for me, because Sony A80K that I have has pure colours without any processing.
@@ZepxxismSony is far superior to LG and Samsung, Sony has clearer, more detailed images, with vivid and real colors, apart from its upscaling which is the best on the market, I would only exchange Sony for another newer Sony
Hey man, can you expand on the raised blacks issue on the G4? I actually sold my S90C and went back to my CX because the raised blacks on QD Oled were too noticeable to me regardless of my viewing environment. Is it just in filmmaker mode that the G4 looks raised or is it a system-wide algorithmic issue? Thanks.
Raised black from natural light hitting the panel?
@@Jodez23 Not even. Any ambient light in the room, no matter how little there was, was enough to make the black levels noticeably raised and more of a grayish color than true Oled black. Even in a completely dark room, the light emanating off of the screen would lift the black levels a bit, killing the contrast I’d become accustomed to. That said, maybe my eyes are just super sensitive to this and most people would not notice a difference jumping from Woled to QD Oled like I did.
@@tylerstirling2843 that's wild
bro can you compare smooth gradation on the 3 from what I am hearing G4 has the overall best processing but loses in smooth gradation to the qd-oled sets is it due to processing flaw or hardware limitation of w-oled.
FOUR!
he must be being paid by LG for G4 to win, whoever has Sony knows that Sony is superior
@@MariaJose-nv3tj in his review he says his favourite is A95l so how can he be paid by LG lay off the pot mate
With the limitation that I'm watching these type of videos on my Sony LCD TV, when I see QD OLEDs compared to the LG G4 I'm always liking the G4 picture better, even though I'm always reading on forums how QD OLEDs blow WOLEDs away.
Lg oled g4 bester tv dieses Jahr
If you keep all special features of their respective brand than what is the comparison between them
Then you are just comparing panels not image processing
You have to utilize all special features of their respective brand to get their full potential
Personally I like vivid on my c3
Has anyone done the latest update on the Sony A95L? I keep noticing brightness fluctuations like the ABL is kicking far too quickly and it’s becoming quite distracting, I have owned this tv for over 6 months and just began to notice it after the last update.
😅 Damn man! Thanks, I needed to hear that! Thought it was just my set! Mine does it too, hopefully they do another update to fix this...
New update coming within 30 days for new tvs soundbars and A95l. Not sure if it will fix our abl issues.
@@bigcdubim glad it’s not just me , I’m surprised there isn’t more people that have noticed it,
it’s been driving me mad the past few days wish I didn’t do the update now .
@@hclandscapesHi! I also know bigcdub as well. I haven’t noticed any issues with my A95L update. Some have some haven’t. What picture mode are you running and what brightness setting? It shouldn’t do what you both are saying but could have something to do with it and could be isolated issues as I know others who have the A95L updated and have no issues.
Only Sony 💪🏽
Lg 4 n.1 👑👑👑👑👑📺
Wrong sharpness setting on A95l. The neutral sharpness should be set to 50
Means allot.
would you by chance know what the neutral setting for the G4 is?
@@consumerreview2ksharpnes go to 50 stop.
Not when it comes to setting up your tv through the spears and munsil 4k hdr disc. That's for sure
@@consumerreview2k It is! It absolutely is. Sony uses the default 50 setting when the TV is calibrated. Its the panels native setting. Are you even aware that you use negative processing with your settings? You are not taking out artificial sharpening. You are literally applying artificial blurring to your TV. How can you be this dense?
the sharpness of the Sony must be set to 50, which is its base value that makes it sharp... enough with these rubbish comparisons...
Im sorry but this guy is either a total idiot at this point or he does it on purpose. Where WHERE did he hear about setting the sharpness to fucking FOUR??? I really like to hear his explanation for this utterly illogical decision.
Horror games on Samsung QD OLED in dark rooms there is no immersion in horror (((( 👎
@Balbessskin. Hey thank you for the comment and checking out the video. Never play horror games but that is a very interesting statement you made. I wonder why.
Samsung in games where the room is dark, brightens the room a little and there is no immersion in darkness ....
If you are on a budget just get the 77" S90D once it's discounted for under 2 grands and call it a day. Really, expenses for basic things like department renting, food and bills have become so incredible these days with even more negative outlook like a huge banking and economical crisis rumoured in the near future. Always remember, these are incredible investments and luxury purchases. Then the next thing you know you go to UA-cam next year and mention your TV and some troll is gonna show up and laugh at you and put you down because your purchase that you've worked so hard for for so many months happens to be outdated now. Not a cool feeling. That's why better stay clear from this community and enjoy your TV, unless you are rich and don't have issues to keep up with the yearly upgrading pace.
Stop calling it a 4K DVD player. There are no 4K DVDs. It's 4K Blu-ray.
Who cares

Urge display and tech/film enthusiasts to look elsewhere on YT.
G4 cant compete with the qd oleds. No one wants a woled panel haha
More people seem to be going with the g4. The qd-oleds don’t have longevity and not as clean of a picture. Is it going to look good in 3 years when 25% of the brightness is lost?
Sony❤
He is just a kid with no intelegence to setup the TV in a good basic level. How stupid can we be to trow away with 3k and put the essential settings off or wrong setup.
The Samsung gets brighter but may need calibration to match color accuracy of Sony. The lg has more longevity and a cleaner picture than Sony. Does Panasonic even make a premium tv?
Mr BIG DOG KING 77 @ogcod just curious do you use bt2020 in any mode you use or for gaming ?
The S90D has no details, just blur, the G4 killed it
I saw all tvs in person at Best Buy, and the s90d killed everything on the floor. I was actually taken aback on how sharp and vivid it is.

if 3 oleds' picture quality are almost the same, I choose Sony. Sony picture process on motion and gradients is better then LG and Samsung. Samsung is in acceptable level only, LG improved a lot but still behind Sony.
Naw Sony motion is arible. If your talking about picture processing your right but motion is not good a Sony now a days tv especially in motion smoothing
Sony has the most cinematic touch for movies, however Games look as good or better (with even more clarity) on LG G4 now over the A95L. The new Alpha Gen a11 is no joke, motion and clarity in Gaming is off the charts now. If you watch older movies then yes Sony is still the top choice for that upscaling.
I have the G4 and I strongly agree the colors (can't compare to qd-oled for volume), you won't see the differences in colors popping etc unless put side by side anyways but man, the brightness, details, clarity and motion handling are out of this world.
Not into this hyper-short lived upgrading community anymore, but going to still show up after the Value Electronics Shootout, to see all those surprised upset/angry faces once they realize that the Bravia 9 got brutally dominated by LG's Juggernaut King of TV's 2024 G4. 👑Fanboys felt for the hype. 😆By the way, Rtings going to release their score for the Bravia 9 next week. Any predictions ? I'll give it a 8.8. Won't even be a threat for the Bravia 8 / A80L / S95D / S90D or C4... that's how overrated this TV is. Literally a enhanced X95L MiniLED with 4000 Nits Brightness, but still can't reach MLA / QD Oled. ✌
Why is this dude using the most garbage settings on a $5k TV
He is just a kid with money and not to much brain. How stupid can you be to pay 3k $ for an Sony for instance and he put the Contrast Adv off, Sharpness in 5 and not have a minimum of inteligence to calibrate at a basic level for all three.
Samsung all day
G4 is looking like an LED. Lifted blacks and clipping the highlights.
Kinda embarrassing for Samsung that a WOLED like the G4 outmatched their top QD OLED panel.
