Nothing personal cuz I appreciate y’all on the channel but I want to point out the continuous lack of unique individualist styling you guys keep maintaining. I understand that an individuals fashion sense is always evolving trust me happens to me all the time like at the beginning I started off as a mall rat than Hypebeast than whatever xyz fashion. But from what I’ve seen from this channel year in year out doesn’t involve developing a personal style and then outwardly explaining to your audience why you love it, instead I see you guys gravitating towards the “trends” that celebrities and influencers use. Like the draping of denim with aj1 (even flared denim not bell-bottom, yes there is a slight difference check gallery dept for the evidence) would y’all ever discussed how great it looks last year or two years ago when it was first and also very prominent cuz of the tote bag clones and Work wear aesthetic?! I don’t think so especially since you guys were pushing so hard for a more tapered approach to jeans and the whole tongue out approach. I guess what I’m trying to say is I’d appreciate if you guys could develop better personal styling instead of waiting for some celebrity to seriously blow up a trend that way the styling tips and your guys opinion feels more genuine instead of 100% hype/trend driven. Always appreciate the content none the less, again no hate just some potential constructive criticism!
I agree with everything you said I think they try and say their “opinions are their own” when they’ve essentially just followed trends the whole channel and never found their niche style but you can’t really say anything if that’s how they wanna dress lol. There’s so many people that never find what they like or dive that deep into street wear they pretty much stay at surface level forever. But I think a good excuse for them is that they did start off as sneaker heads and imo sneaker heads often don’t dress too crazy.
All they is do is follow trends. The name of their show is House of HYPE. I mean just look at the Nike dominance on this channel. I enjoy the content but seeing Nike everything is getting so boring.
