"We both realized that things moved way too fast and we needed to go back to dating,” she told Todd, adding that they needed time to “dig deeper” and “work on things on a different level.”

I had a similar experience (dating and engagement very quickly), and realizing i was still so young and needed to take more time to process things and get to know myself better. Refreshing to see younger couples taking their time to really evaluate before taking such a big step in life.

Savannah's a grown up adult now, dealing with adult situations and Daddy needs to let her do that on her own terms. She's still your little girl in your heart, but now she's grown and needs to live her life her way!!!

See that’s where your wrong? When your engagement is a BUSINESS it becomes everyone’s business. (She’s promoting the show) If she truly wanted a personal life she would not be on TV. It’s like my grandma use to tell me “if you don’t want people in your business, don’t put your business in the streets”. This whole family makes money by letting people into their personal lives.

Very true, age is just a number. I know men in their 40s acting 20. Mid lifetime crisis because they either got married too young or simply never matured.
I think that when you are raised to believe that you can’t “shack up” before marriage and that you should be engaged once you reach 1-2 years of dating it’s easy to rush an engagement when neither person is ready. A lot of young people rush to get married because of pressure from parents and certain beliefs that are pushed on them.

I don’t agree at all. I don’t get this weird “ let’s love together bullshit” I waited to live with my husband... and we didn’t have sex or live together and I can’t tell you how amazing it was. I’m so happy I waited. I’m thankful I didn’t listen to anyone

I thought they were mature in cutting the engagement off. They were in the honeymoon faze and got excited but haven't learned each other in another level yet.

22 years old is way too young to get married and to be exclusively dating anyone. This is your time to date and have fun and decide what you want in a husband. This is coming from someone who married at 22 so I know what I’m talking about.
Eh I’d have to disagree. You should still “date” your partner while you’re married to him forever. I got married at 19 and we’re still married and are still “dating” every day. You should never stop dating your partner.

I’m confused as to why call off engagement though if you are still going to date and be together. There isn’t a time line on engagement. Take as long as needed. Heck I know some have been engaged years. I do agree though don’t get married so young. People change a lot in their 20’s I feel. I wish them nothing but the best. They are adorable!

If you have only been dating a year and a half, have a “lot of work to do” and “both are in therapy”, maybe this relationship isn’t meant to be. They aren’t following each other on Instagram anymore so maybe they realized that.
I am glad they didn't give up on eachother. There is no feeling like that of knowing you just don't love someone. That is until you know you are in love with someone. I am glad these two knew they felt the same way about eachother, yet recognized that they had some work to do. A May 2020 wedding would not have happened anyway do to the pandemic.

They won’t work out. Sadly people don’t realize you can still date. You “date” while married, you “date” while engaged. There’s truly situations where you meet someone, and you just “know” that they’re the one. They both need to move on from eachother.

If you’re having issues and NEED to work and attend therapy sessions already ..... move on and don’t look back. You’re both too young and or not ready or compatible for marriage ... right now.
It’s not always the time before marrying (hubby and I married after 21 months in 2004), it’s just that you two should continue dating until you feel ready or eventually go your separate ways. Hopefully neither will feel broken-hearted or depressed.
Either way ...... enjoy what you have now.

Never seen a woman who agreed to get married, took the ring, set a date, made plans and then came up with the lame excuse of "well, we need to work on our relationship before we get married." Women just don't operate that way. If he has a brain in his head he'd tell her to "hit the damn bricks". She's clearly wanting to experience other men in bed. Any man with an ounce of sense can see this a mile away. Dude is screwed if he hangs around like some jaded cop trying to get that last 3 years in before retiring. It’s so funny how people say “we made this decision together” lol knowing that ain’t true. It’s always one or the other wants it then the one who didn’t really want it just followed along to keep peace and wants the best for their now ex or if still dating their now partner. Once things get pushed off it usually will end because the person who didn’t really want it will get heart broken and eventually will have enough and push the other person out. Lol. Yess I love the family to death but that had me cringing bad. I was in shock when Savannah tried to botox his face! I mean we don't know these people but u can definitely tell that Nick is not into those things and it was disappointing to see her act like that. I would've thought those were the qualities she loved about him.

I think she made a wise decision. She i think was only 21 when he proposed. Not saying that's too young, just saying that's very young.
