I'm probably one of the few that can say I've been both a safety worker at IMS and a competitor there, too, and knowing how well trained the team is made me feel extremely safe when I was on track. That goes for the EMTs and the marshalls, too. Everyone's at a higher level in Indy. I'd bet my life on these folks.

Just as a fan, as an outsider, I think IMS and IndyCar safety are tip top. I have watched almost 50 years worth of motorsports and the advances in that time are remarkable. Thanks to you and your team for all you do.

That's awesome. I'm glad to see the little S-10 is still around. It was always my favorite during clean ups. I wanted an S-10 way back when, and when i bought my Corvette, the Weld Evo Andro "phone dial" wheels were really popular.

Ah the little S-10 sweeper truck has a name! And TEN THOUSAND MILES! Ahhhhhhh!
The safety measures the professionals train for are really neat to learn about, don't get me wrong. Thankful that IMS has all those folks. BUT CLIFFORD! YESSSSS

it's 2024 and you are just doing this now? been watching Indy 500 for 30+ years . . no wonder it ( crashes/accidents) and rescue looked so "haphazard" for the last 30 years. Sometimes we fans would be screaming at the TV: during one crash we watched, one driver wasn't moving during a dangerous impact yet no safety personnel were there, yet there were 3 safety p. at a car where the driver extricated himself and walked himself to safety truck.
