- What goes on at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway the rest of the year when cars aren't on track? Well, this episode of Behind the Bricks is here to teach you. This week, IMS President Doug Boles gets to work with the facilities team to shut down plumbing around the track to prepare the Racing Capital of the World for Indiana winter.
I love this series! It never ceases to amaze me how complex a facility and operation the Indianapolis Motor Speedway is.
I actually enjoyed this series very much. Doug Bowles is the "Mike Rowe" of the Speedway, getting a hand in all the odd jobs of the facility

Wow, cool story. We as fans just show up for IMS events and never think of just how much work, time and people power goes into keeping the Grand Lady of Indianapolis at her shining best.
