So you think you wanna customize some of those beat up Joe vehicles? Here's my process. #cracktasticplastic #thepfpn #yojoe #gijoe #painting #custompaint #cobra
I've been building model cars for 45 years and I never even thought about running spray paint under hot water to get it to spray finer, great tip! anyway.... my grandson was given a suitcase full of G.I. Joe and knock off's and a couple boxes of vehicles both G.I. Joe and the knock-offs so I'm building him a post apocalypic "good guy" base and "bad guy" base, sort of a mash-up where the bad guys hooked up so the good guys had to also in order to stop them in order to re-establish the governments of the world. I have also bought several new Final Faction ( From Dollar tree) vehicles like the Arrow Dune Buggy and the Attack Motorcycle (version of the RAM). I'm going to paint them up with desert tan paint and I'm going to put a plastic "solar panel" on the top of the Arrow and build make it my own version of an Electric Dune Buggy just because... well why not. gas in a post apocalypic word will be at a premium, why not use the technology that we have now.
I just found your podcast with your brothers and the first one I listened too you’re talking about stressed plastic. And I stopped whatever I was doing! I brought a cobra night raven off eBay two yrs ago and when it turned up there was a massive stress across the main canopy. The box was to small and the canopy was sticking out I was surprised she wasn’t broken in half, cause it came all the way from France. I pull it apart and heated the stressed plastic, holy shit it worked 🤘 My night raven looks awesome again Thanks heaps for the knowledge!
Can you take a crazy, loud bright colored designed G.I.JOE or COBRA vehicle and paint it using a ARMY Military Color Pallette thats modern or standard for all Branches of our U.S.Military? I like to see a wild designed vehicle like the Cobra "Buzz Boar" in a more traditional Military Color Pallette. Another vehicle choice for a modern paint job would be the 1988 GI Cobra Bugg, that would be wild to see. Keep up the great work your videos have helped me and im sure others out a lot when it comes to painting tips and techniques when customization or repairing our G.I.JOE and COBRA Vehicle's and knowing these techniques is half the battle! YO! JOE!
I gotta star wars ship with factory defects in paint, what grit sandpaper should I use to take off some paint and what grit to polish/finish? Crafty video
I think I need more info. What's your end goal? Are you just trying to knock down some rough spots for a full repaint or do you want to fix the defects?
Hello my friend I was hoping you could help me out. I need to paint a weapon to match 1987 GI Joe rumblers gun. I use plastic safe spray paint & would be grateful if you might could recommend the best hue?

Thanks heaps for the knowledge!
Hey, sweet. I'm glad it worked for you. You have to be careful with some of the harder plastics because they can warp.

Have you ever considered buying a Queen’s Starship and painting it similar to the Cobra Spaceship or use it for a Cobra sun?
I have not because I don't know what that is and now I feel terribly uneducated. Share a link.
Do you have any tips for removing a bad spray paint job from a plastic toy?

Why does the sealant change it white sometimes? Thanks for the tips
I'm not really sure. The most obvious answer might be if you're using two different types of paint like enamel and acrylic.
Do you repaint any of your joes?
HA. Not successfully. Cody Ball is your man for repaints.
